Special caution when washing the inside of the chamber. it has little tabs that hold the grills will eat you up if you're not paying attention.

My wife got me an Orion for Christmas. I asked for it because I have couple of friends in North Georgia who swear by them.
I fired it up for the maiden voyage last night. Two racks of ribs one whole chicken.
I am blown away by how good they turned out. Tender, smokey and really juicy. I made sure to season them very well before I put them on the smoke FYI.
I had to keep the ribs on a little bit longer than was recommended, but they turned out absolutely perfect. Also had to keep the chicken on a little longer than recommended, but still turned out perfect!
If there was a Nobel prize for innovation in barbecue, the Orion guys would win it!!
I consider myself a barbecue connoisseur. I’ve used every kind of smoker known to man, and this thing is on a whole different level!
Only complaint I have is I didn’t get a good bark on the ribs. Understandable since it’s convection and smoking. I might try taking the ribs off and charring the outside with direct heat next time

Add hot water first and then Dawn. Stir water and let soak... rinse twice and let her dry ....

I heard that using shaving cream on the outside gets off most of the soot....not the burned on blackened mess. It works beautifully and If the blackened mess needs to come off,a little elbow grease and cleaner works. Why you would need to clean the outside is your personal choice,I kind of don't mind it. Maybe once a year it needs a good clean to check out if there are any weak points showing up. Definitely clean the insides but looks like a waste of water to fill and soak. Elbow grease again and some dish soap knocks it out. Love my Orion!

    Why clean it?

Because it gets nasty inside! I made the mistake of putting tinfoil inside drip pan, what a disaster that was trying to clean! It got so hot that it molded to pan and took forever to get loose/clean
