The emotion that Shahar put into delivering such a poignant scene really brought the words of The Bible to life. Thank you for that passion. Simon Peter was the perfect one to share what The Father revealed (in the show and in The Word). ❤😊
One thing that strikes me about Shahar's performance is how seriously he takes his calling and renaming. The audience can see how deeply Jesus's words penetrated his heart and soul, and throughout the rest of the episode we see him wrestling with the ideal "Rock" that Jesus is calling him to be, and the deeply flawed human being that he knows he is. I do believe that much of the three years of Christ's mortal ministry was intended to prepare his Apostles to lead his Church and preserve His name and incomparable mission to future generations. And The Chosen has presented many moments of preparation for the apostles, including Simon Peter, through certain experiences, intimate conversations, and many other moments.
I've always been a follower of Jesus but The Chosen has changed my Life. ✝️🙏💜 (This has not only profoundly impacted my Life but my entire family as well. Thank GOD and thank all of you💖💕).
What I admire the chosen is it never brings a religion but showing a personal relationship to God , a deeper one !! Watching all the episodes brought me to a realization how important to read the Bible !! Always meditate HIS words as only weapon as a Christian ..fThe only truth that sets us free!!!
Watching The Chosen has made me want to read the Bible. It helped me understand the readings so much better And having a visual of what it may have looked like is a plus. I thank God for leading me to this show. ❤
I love how the chosen portrays not only the Scene but after effect of it… Walking on water strengthened Simon and the disciples faith And now this- when I had read this in the past I had never rlly pictured the jealous reactions of some disciples while the proud look on his brother’s face. This is one thing I love about the chosen of how it makes us think more about every story and every scene and how it can affect ppl!
The intimacy between THE CHRIST YESHUA and HIS disciples is always so beautifully portrayed that one can so deeply relate to each one of the disciples...🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 GOD BLESS you all for all the hardwork and sincere love poured in for THE CHRIST YESHUA.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Been waiting for this for so long🥺🥺🥺 oh man, Shahar's amazing, the tears, the passion when he confessed😮😮😮 Truly an amazing actor. And Yes Peter the Rock❤❤❤ He truly was one. His faith made him come there. And its not easy to be chosen by both the son and the father❤❤ St.Peter Rocks❤❤❤
This is one of my favorite moments from this show ❤ The love I have for Simon (Peter) and his ability to recognize Jesus for who He is, is unending! Obviously, I cannot wait for the day when I too get to meet, worship and love Jesus in person, but I also look forward to meeting His chosen disciples ✝️
At the end how he looked up and exhaled….wow, that just brought it home. Great job to all the actors/actresses for bringing the Word of God to a fantastic on screen visual!
Thank You, LORD, for the rock of the truth that we can stand firm on even to this day. The gates of helll shall not prevail against it. Keep us faithful to You and fearless in the face of evil for Christ' sake Amen
@@eddigiovanni1079 Peter is a rock( Petros) and Jesus Christ is the rock (Petra) . That passage was not about Peter but Peter's confession. Peter's confession was about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church. Peter became a rock by making that confession. When Jesus Christ called him a rock it was not only about Peter. It was about future believers. Jesus was saying if you make that confession, then you are a Christian. You are a rock, you become part of the Church. The Church is a spiritual house made up of small rocks( believers) standing on a foundation of Christ ( big rock). Simon means hearing in Hebrew. By changing his name to Peter. Jesus Christ was simply saying to Peter and to born again believers as a whole that if you hear his words and do them you are rock. Jesus Christ had changed Simon name to Peter much earlier in John's gospel. Jesus Christ spoke greek, hebrew and Aramaic and there is enough evidence that some of his disciples spoke greek as well. So the theory that the spoke Aramaic here and that the rock is kepha not Petros and Petra is false theory. The Catholic Church believe Peter is the rock because of power. The used Peter's connection to Rome and this verse to claim authority over other churches.
@@eddigiovanni1079 If you read the Greek, Jesus used two different words for peter and the rock. One denotes (Peter) a pebble. The other (Rock) a stone mountain.
I can't help but smile 😀♥️ I've been calling Simon Peter since s1, but now it's official ♥️ "On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." ♥️
Rock meaning the revelation that He is Jesus Christ. And on this rock (revelation) that "i am Christ Jesus" son of God, i will build my church,.and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it❤❤❤ this is so beautiful
Or you might rightly conclude that the demonstrative adjective "this" ("this rock") refers to the direct antecedent (i.e., Peter himself), since it appears in that exact same verse (#18). It is far less likely that Christ is referring to a revelation ("You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.") which takes place two verses earlier (#16). And if He didn't mean Peter, why would He create the wordplay with "rock"? It makes no sense without it referring to Peter - and worse yet it would just sew confusion.
If you deny that here Christ proclaimed Sanctvs Petrvs as the Rock of the Church and His Vicar , you are effectly saying that Christ is some sort of socially incompetent fool who changes a Man's name to mean Rock , makes this change mean absolutely nothing and then in the same sentence that he did said change talks about a completely different Rock as the foundation of His Church .To deny Papal Primacy , you must blaspheme .
The Rock throughout scripture is who? Peter is the little stone or rock who denied Christ three times. Once the holy sprit came on Pentecost he cleaned up his act.@@oolooo
Dude, just stop, ROCK is ROCK, GATE IS GATE and KEY is KEY. He who has the key has the access to his house. Face it , come back to Christ, to his house and stop trying to defend the impossible. One of my favourite statements in the bible is the revelation given to Simon by the Holy Spirit. JESUS the CHIRST our Messiah, The son of the LIVING God. It is on THIS statement He has built His government (Kingdom) with Peter (rock) being the first stone ❤ I am that stone, a follower of Christ, and the gates of hell can not prevail against me 😍
So many moments and scenes that break me and I'm crying in my chair. When Jesus asks who the disciples say he is. Simon speaks up and I just melt! Thank you to the writers for giving us a glimpse of how these men might have been. THIS SERIES IS SUCH A BLESSING
There really isn’t any words to describe how the chosen has impacted me, I’m a pastors kid and grew up in the gospel, watching the chosen has really brought the Bible to life. What Jesus Christ did when He gave His life on that Old Rugged Cross for every single human being even those that don't believe in Him and those that don't even want to choose to follow Him out of His love for each and everyone of us is the greatest gift of all time. “You are Peter. You are the rock and upon it, I will build my church.”
