@@K.B.Williams My friends and I have discussed the ark of the covenant and it is interesting what is written in Jer.3:16. This verse seems to show that the ark ceased to exist and that it has no more importance. Can't state that as an absolute but it is a curious verse. Maybe God had it destroyed or hidden so well it cannot be found. Time will tell. Take care and keep studying God's Word.

Seeing how that sulfur burns down really helps understand why it would be so devastating for it to rain down on a place. Not because of explosive impacts as depicted in movies in shows, but rather constant burning that actually moves around as it melts down.

This is a fabulous point and one I'm happy to discuss.
I completely agree that too many people today will listen to one source of information and decide it is absolute truth without bothering to do further research. It's a naive and sometimes dangerous approach to life.
I suppose what I meant by my comment was to compliment the poster on how thought out his hypotheses were and how I was impressed by the research he has done to back up those opinions.
I was also impressed that he chose to address some of the problems others in his field have had with his conclusions. He gave their opinions, the facts they present to support those opinions, and then gave his rebuttal with his own facts to back them up.
I will always respect a person who gives me facts that I can go check, and prove or disprove, on my own over someone who simply wants to argue about their opinions with no facts to back them up.
Throughout this whole video he does just that. He gives many facts that, if I felt so inclined, I could do my own research to decide if his opinions were founded or not. But even if I never chose to do my own research, I stand by my first post. I still finished this video with new knowledge about a place I've never been, new perspectives on scriptures I have read before, and a better understanding of archeological education than I had before.

@@michaelhaigh9182 Jehovah has many names in many languages. Adonai, Jehovah, YHWY, Mar Yah, "I AM that I AM, our Father in heaven according to Jesus, and more. Many get hung up on human understanding of proper names. There have been many "Sacred Name" movements. Yet in deeper truth we learn from the Jesus that "Hallowed be thy Name" means give respect and praise for all the aspects of his being of which we are aware. That takes His Name to a whole new level of understanding. God knows our heart, our intent of love and worship. His has a deeper understanding than a name alone. Let us not try to divide the Body of Christ by focusing on the name aspect as a wedge.

I've always wondered where Zoar was in relation to the other cities that were burning. This means it was definitely a precision strike and not a random one.
The scary part for me is that their depravity was so horrendous that God had to intervene. Which makes me wonder how bad this world will get before Jesus returns.

I don't want to imagine how much worse it was back then, but unfortunately, we seem to head, closer and closer in that direction.
