I have truly fallen in love with this series, TH performance has been so amazing, but the end was really the cherry on top. The end i couldn’t breathe. I didn’t want to believe that a mother would betray her son that way, she put herself before him and I am heartbroken. And the blood. I gasped out loud when i saw that. I cannot believe how amazing the acting was in this episode. I am eager for episode 10, this show has been an epic roller coaster of emotions.
So heartbroken at the end of the episode. TH’s performance in the last few minutes was probably one of his best, in my opinion. It made me feel so disappointed and hopeless in ways that I couldn’t explain. The ending scene when the song slowly faded as he lied down made me cry out loud for twenty minutes. I can feel his pain vividly. The world is such a disappointment to him in every way, and it made a stranger like me ache from the bottom of my heart. Great performance.
I totally agree! It was heartbreaking to see him in that courtroom watching his mother walk out of there after she lied. Then to see him hurt himself at the end took my breath away 😢
Speechless. TH's performance is just incredible. To think I almost listened to early critic reviews and was gonna skip this. It's one of my top shows on TV+.
am I the only one that was totally blindsided by the ending?? as in when Johnny took that clip back in the other episode and said it was "just in case" I thought he meant it in order to break out of prison, then I remembered how rya referred to him as a escape artist, but I never expected him to "breakout" out of this situation by making Danny commit s*icide, especially with how the alters say all they want to do is protect him and that they're why he's still alive
I think escaping was Johnny’s plan yes that’s why he took it. However, that wasn’t Danny’s plan. I think Danny chose that for himself because he was feeling all of the emotions from his childhood and watching his mom deny what really happened to him broke him inside and he probably knew that there would be nothing left to save him😔

That's exactly what i think is going to happen in the last episode. He'll survive the suicide attempt, his personalities will come back because Danny has been triggered and they'll show themselves during the trial. The ones who are against Danny are about to see the true horror of MPD and that this kid needs a hospital, not prison.

Just watched the episode, and I gotta say I don’t fully agree with the general opinion of Candy at this point. I mean, did she betray Danny by lying on the stand? Absolutelly. What she did was outright horrible and made me like her less. BUT I don’t agree that she is a bad person or as much a monster as Marlin; it is obvious she is scared of Marlin and she is scared of a life outside him, which is often the case of people in dysfunctional relationships, especially with domestic abuse. Even though we haven’t seen Marlin ever raising his hand against Candy it wouldn’t surprise me if he did offscreen - Marlin has time and time again proven to be a dominering man that both Candy and Danny were afraid of and disliked. With Danny, we know why, but I guess there is something else around Candy and her relationship we haven’t fully seen yet.

I can expect what the ending would be. Danny isn't die, he is rescued. Danny's suicide accident knock the Candy's heart. Then she's considering to come back to the judge to witness the truth. There would be a big confront between Ray's side and the opponent after Candy's witnessing. But in the end, Danny is never going to the jail. He wins it.

I can't get it, why don't they (defence) bring the name Adam to the trial process. Ok, they can't prove Danny was sexually abused, and even Danny never said he was. But he did say that Adam was. And couldn't the mother and the stepfather at least testify about Danny having (not having) a twin?

Adam existed before merlin to me. So I believe merlin wasn't his first abuser. The conversation between his mother and the therapist at the bar confirmed it for me.
People didn't like this role for Tom because it had a gay role in it, I am not one to judge but for what I have seen from episode beginning to the very last, he was great and I felt sorry for his character, his mom allowed her husband to manipulate her decision to deny her own flesh and blood the freedom and help he deserves, and the only way he got out is by suicide.
i believe Danny was abused by his real father and that was when the first persona Adam was created, to sort of explain away the betrayal./hurt. In court Rya mentioned a predator can sense when someone is a victim, and that was something Danny's teacher was able to sense hence the flashback of him attempting to sexually assault him. Danny's step father was probably testing the water to see if Danny would talk when he asked Danny what the teacher was about to do. I guess a predator recognizes a predator. Candy might kill the step father as one final act of retribution. I don't know what's gonna happen to Danny. The entire episode was just heart breaking smh.

I think Danny's first alter is Adam, until now they show us nothing about Adam's death, what if he just imagined he has a twin brother, who took the abuse, and ofcourse Candy knew about it, he ask her when adam is coming back, and we never see a scene candy with both kids, so in this episode when she say no, it could literally mean that maybe in the next episode she's gonna tell that Danny was never abused it was Adam, who was Danny's personality. Hence proving the both situations.

It really made me doubt that Adam was real at all, maybe he died when he was little, because in that scene when they were with marlin in the car, Adam was sitting in the back seat and never truly interact with Marlin, it really feels that he was in Danny's head. And we were told that Adam was with his dad but Danny's has no memory of his dad, just imaginary dad then how it is possible that Adam was real? and when little Danny ask his mom to take him with her at work and talk about Adam, she just said, are you missing him? But when he talk more about him she said nothing and agreed to take him with her.

This episode was especially heartfelt and disturbing. I am angry at Candy BUT she in a sense is mentally ill herself. I don't think she's evil but so so sad. My guess is that Danny will live and that Candy will redeem herself by taking the stand and telling the story about Adam. So far we know little about Adam so he is key to Danny's innocence. Or Danny will be put on the stand. Either way this has been a fascinating series and I will be sorry to see it end. Kudos to the entire cast, especially TH.

No..Adam was real……the mother validates the authenticity of Adam in episode 3…there are pictures of him as well
