If I can add my own "lost" media here, the longer advertisement animation for World Heroes. There was an animated short of sorts made to promote the Neo Geo game, but only small bits of it were used in commercials. I'll link some of the important stuff when I remember where I put it.

One of my biggest wishes is that more video game OSTs get "restored" or have their demos with original instruments released, like Sonic 1 & 2, and Sonic 3D Blast. A channel called Church of Kondo had uploaded fan restores of SNES titles using the original samples for the instruments to reconstruct them, but there's so many games and cassettes and CDs and samples, that truly, these things are either in a vault cause of their lack of importance, or lost. Maybe they're used for reference for later renditions or remixes though, who knows.

Two 3DS things that's aren't exactly lost but are now unobtainable: there are Puzzle Swap boards that were both limited-time and location-based. You could only begin obtaining pieces on some boards by going to a specific location while they were active. One was started by visiting any Japanese McDonalds, and another for visiting one of three airports. Unlike normal boards, these boards are *not* tradeable if you haven't started the board yet, so they can't spread virally. If you didn't hop in a plane and travel to Japan for McNuggets last decade, you can never truly 100% Puzzle Swap.
There were also boards in Nintendo Badge Arcade that don't seem to be in the rotation any more, including third-party franchises like Rockman and holiday-themed boards. This is even more of a big deal since every badge earned in Nintendo Badge Arcade actually has an external use in decorating your 3DS home menu. What's worse is these badges were *extremely* difficult to get without buying microtransactions: you only got a random limited number of Free Plays every day (usually just 1 or 2), board progress resets daily, and there'd often be at least one badge on the board that requires 3-5 plays in a single day. Not to mention only a handful of boards are available each day, so if a board you need isn't available on the day you happened to get 5 Free Plays, tough. I don't think there are many people who have full sets. There is a bit of an asterisk though: I've heard that people in Europe are still able to get the Rockman boards in rotation. It seems to be something region-specific. But in the US, no dice.

So your search for lost media led you to learning about the Sacred Treasures of Japan eh? Quite the twist lol. They're such a fascinating piece of history, you see them referenced so much in anime, One Piece fans for example will recognize the names of Kizaru's attacks all being directly named after the treasures. One theory is that the Imperial House of Japan holds onto them, really cool stuff to think about.

11:30 Interestingly enough, that fourth game, Project Progressive, we actually know slightly more information about, despite it not having a name. The game actually has concept art available, and according to Itagaki, it was to have "a different type of action compared to Ninja Gaiden. It's unknown if the game's story would've been connected to the Ninja Gaiden/DOA universe, let alone what the plot would've entailed.
Also technically, the pre-order costumes for DOA6 _can_ be obtained, but...only on PC/Steam, through "legally questionable" means 😏 I've been planning a video on DOA's lost content/DLC for a while, so I'm glad to see this come up again!

I might have said this more than once, but I just wanna remind Lost Media geeks like you…
I remember one time when I was in elementary school, my teachers showed cartoons and other videos. I remember very little about this experience, but the scariest thing I remember, was one time, my teacher showed a song about a letter from the alphabet. I thought it was the letter k or the letter j. It was low quality, at least avi level, and the song was quite normal. What happened after horrified me. The song zoomed out on a theater screen, and there was applause. There appeared to be a massive puppet, about the size of Big Bird, but it wasn’t him. It cut to its face, and I saw it. It was a green dragon, much like Dudley the Dragon or somebody like him. Only it looked like a cheap knockoff or bootleg. He had some purple on his body, but I don’t know if it was on his ears. I couldn’t tell if he had teeth or not, but I still remember the eyes. The pupils were vertical slits, much like a cat’s, but the rest of the eyes were white. I remember seeing the dragon in three videos. In the third video, it was a watercolor animation, like a theme song of sorts. I was horrified, and one day, the dragon was left on the screen. I had to put on my backpack and walk out while looking down so I wouldn’t get scared. I didn’t bring cameras or look up the videos, and I forgot the name of the show the dragon was on. Like I said, it isn’t Dudley the Dragon or Eureeka’s Castle, because I remember the theme having something like “learning to read” in the lyrics. I still think about that dragon to this day. I don’t think West Hills Elementary School has those videos anymore. I know those videos exist. I know they are real. I see that dragon sometimes in my dreams. Please, if anyone else knows or at least remembers this show, I would be happy to know.

When I was a kid I was a big fan of the show Kenny vs. Spenny, and I would go on their website to see what was up. I played Versusville for a bit, forgot about it and then lost my PC and my harddrive. I was looking for this game, even trying to make posts online but I was not familiar with the lost media community. Just one year before the game was brought up again and later found, I had tried to make a post about it on reddit, but it was declined because I didnt understand the subreddits rules on titles and what not. I even thought it was stupid of me to even ask. I wish I had started the search earlier and maybe, just maybe, I could've been that guy who initiated it.

I think I've only just discovered Hebereke just a few months ago, or maybe even some time last year, and have been wanting to give them a try myself. Here's hoping we can find the lost mobile ports of these classic titles! I do love these Super Mario history lessons cards especially with unique the art-style is compared to the rest of the Mario universe! Now we just gotta find the rest of them. Man, that really is a shame that those event costumes in Dead Or Alive 6 are no longer available (outside of maybe via hacking), as well as the unfortunate cancellation of action/adventure again "Dead Or Alive: Code Cronus". I've always been a massive fan of Japanese entertainment, and culture in general since practically my whole life, and it's really cool that Namco even made an arcade game in the late 1980's that's actually based on the Genpei War! Hopefully we can find all 3 of The Sacred Treasures Of Japan someday I would love to see them myself! The Street Pass on the Nintendo 3DS was definitely a neat feature that could let people interact with users, with the Gold-Pants Miis being available via the internet, or through Spot Pass, it was fun! And while it is a shame that the events are over, at least there's a way we can still get them again using a QR Code! We just gotta find that single missing 1 from Europe, and the rest from Japan. I do hate the Mew Pokemon is no longer available since the original 1996 event was over 20 years ago, and that the save batteries in the Game Boy cartridges are so old at this point that the saved Mews are most likely deleted (which is why I hate Pokemon exclusive events, and don't understand these types of Pokemon couldn't just be available from the beginning. As well as my taste for physical media as while I do still generally prefer physical media over digital media, it's not perfect, with deterioration being its biggest enemy), but, maybe somebody, somewhere has actually saved it, and we can finally see it. Another solid lost media, LSSQ! :D Can't wait for the next video!

Maybe trying to search for Japan-exclusive media using Japanese terms would help more, I guess.
Searching for 携帯 移植版 turns up a few extant informations about the Hebereke ports, including press releases still online from 2003.
Besides that, the fact that they were released on i-Mode mobile phones, and (as it turns out from the news) access was tied to a monthly fee with the provider (one named Shanghai i-Puzzle, managed jointly between those two companies in fact), poses the same problems with preservation as the other games released on the same platform (see for example what happened with Final Fantasy Before Crisis).

A piece of lost media that may be interesting to check out: MySims Puzzle Party
It's a Java Mobile puzzle game themed around MySims Party (the 3rd or 4th game in the MySims series [a spin-off of The Sims {a spin-off of SimCity}]) that released in 2010 only in South Korea (within a year of the final game in the MySims series). It is the only MySims game with microtransactions out of like 15-20 entries (the DS and Wii versions counted separately due to all being basically different games)

last thing i expected to hear from one of these videos is that the 3 sacred treasures form Japan's history are not *known* to be found.
i assumed the very detailed photograph of all 3 together WAS them from like a museum or something!
did not expect to hear they have possibly been lost to time.
feels like a subject you could make a modern day movie/game about.

I love how people are talking about mobile Java games whilst ignoring the fact that EA have literally killed double and triple A games.
I mean Jesus Christ, Blizzard just killed Overwatch 1. You can no longer play that game and people just say "there is Overwatch 2 though right?"
Don't get me wrong, all games should be saved even the Java ones. But we need to raise awareness of games being butchered right in front of us.
This is like if you watched your mom get gutted and instead of looking for the killer, you went to the graveyard and picked a gravestone from the 1800's; only to then research why they died.

I have 2 Games that I haven’t seen anyone talk about.
    1. A Phone and IPad Game called “If” and it teaches kids how to handle mental health. You played as a young Anthro Dog and wandered around helping others, with the help of your mentor, a Sidekick that slips my mind, and Katnip/Catnip (a Anthro Cat that’s constantly mentioned as being sketchy). You had to calm and cleanse Elemental themed Creatures and try to unite the Anthro Cats and Anthro Dogs after years of them being separated. I can’t find any Roms of this, it’s that unknown.
    2. Ducktales: Scrooge’s Loot, for Phones and Tablets and it was based off of the 80s Show. It’s a Shooter Game where you have to find Scrooge’s Money after it was stolen by his major antagonists. Launchpad is your tutorial guide and gives hints as you are revived.

I *swear* that I saw LSuperSonicQ talk about Blast Wind for the SEGA Saturn at some point, but for the life of me I cannot see, to find it right now if the video even exists anymore to the public.
Basically, the reason it was brought up was because the rumored story behind it was much more interesting: Apparently it started life as a test arcade game before it flopped, then they tried to basically humorize it way more for a second test which also failed, and now for the third and final version it is closer to the original but still changed some small elements, ultimately never ending up in an arcade release at all.
Wether this is all true is a mystery, but what I *do* know is that I discovered it from him. I think it was from a video listing off some obscure things he knows about. For all I know at this point maybe the video portion in question never existed at all, but either way it's still an interesting thing to mention since the game itself is pretty good and that the story behind the supposed inception is weird.

I had a mew transferred to my Pokemon Blue cart by the UK magazine Official Nintendo Magazine. They held a tournament where the last battle was their editor and if you beat them you won a Mew to be received at a later date in my home city central shopping centre. My boyfriend had a lvl 100 Mewtwo and beat the editor no problem so got one and they also uploaded one onto my copy as well as I was with him when he collected his. I've since sold my copy of Blue so no longer have it and had completely forgotten about it until this video.

Although it's debatable whether or not this could be considered a video game, Silicon Motor Speedway was a NASCAR racing simulator in the 90s that would appear in shopping malls. They had full racing rigs that resembled that of a 90s cup car and were extremely ambitious at the time. Old videos of the simulator in use are on the internet, and some of the old racing rigs were recently rediscovered, but the actual simulator has yet to be found. Let alone dumped on the internet for people to use.

Im having a similar situation to the mario quiz cards.
There's a garfield cardboard cutout that I've had for a couple years now but I can't find it online. All I can really find is a mcdonalds toy of it and a similar looking cutout, which from what I can tell is from the same promotion.
Here's a description of it along with some info thats written on the bottom:
It is of garfield riding a red motorcycle thing with odie sitting in the back, and garfield has a thought bubble saying "Let's cruise!".
It says on small text on the bottom that the copyright date is 1989 and it belongs to mcdonalds, along with some sort of code.
I ALSO have 2 poster stickers of garf but I can only find one of them online but not the other one. They both have copyright dates of 1978.
