Hey- I'm one of the 'Tape Watchers' from the PMC search! I'm in possession of roughly 300 tapes, I believe. There's definitely WAY more than 800 total. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to go through the tapes in several months (my parents moved, then I moved out, then I moved back in, it's a mess). So far, though, the guy who recorded the tapes doesn't seem like the type to record that show- Everything is all old westerns and black and white Mickey Mouse Club. There are some gems of old commercials, though! I've been meaning to getting around to watching the tapes on a live-stream. Not worried about Content ID because we'd be fast-forwarding 99% of it
@@lightyagami3492 I'd love to, but I don't really have the equipment to record any of it digitally. For my idea to stream it, I'd be pointing the camera at my old CRT ;_; I also don't think it'd be practical to rip hundreds and hundreds of tapes. What I've done so far is just record whatever I found interesting on my phone. I'm,, pretty knowledgeable about Lost Media so I have a general idea what to look for. I know that Mickey Mouse Club has lost episodes, so I even go out of my way to scrub the tapes with that written on the label. But largely what this collection is, is... Quantum Leap sometimes. Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman- Really what you'd expect an old man to be into. There's not a ton of Lost Media that people are looking for in those genres, so I don't have my hopes up for anything groundbreaking.
@@RicoTheChico Everyone involved with the Tape Watching has stayed in touch, more or less. I did ask the others if it'd be okay for me to stream the tapes- Since I was afraid it'd come off as me milking the search for content or something, but really as long as the tapes are being looked at nobody minds djskgdhjkgf
It's possible Batman Fights Dracula is lost forever. Archiving here in the Philippines is not really focused, both for films and TV alike. Only few of the 1950s-1980s films are archived and restored, primarily by ABS-CBN and Viva themselves.
Its not like anyone could just get the film studio and then get a copy not to mention archiving films isn’t a priority highly doubt a copy will ever resurface even if one were to go to the Philippines
It is also worth noting that most of the archived films that still around today only survived for the fact that the publishers released Home Movie copies. With the masters being long gone.
Film student from the Philippines here. Sadly, a lot of old films (even those from just a couple of decades ago) have been lost due to the lack of resources to digitize and archive, and because of the war and militant government. Director Jing Abalos has also been pretty dormant, but I might be able to ask around here! Hoping to help out with this search.
What always annoys me about certain lost media is…for the prices of media that are 100% still in existence but are being held by the companies who made them or own the rights to them…they have this peice of media that everyone wants to see but just refuse to release it for xyz reason. I know sometimes it’s a bit complicated because it may have its rights in many places but for others it bothers me, they have the power to make it no longer be considered lost and they just don’t like the Sesame Street missing episodes
Aside from copyrights, I don’t see a real legitimate reason to not release lost media. Companies could make a lot of money off of lost media, so it’s not like they’d be losing money. On top of that, it would bring a lot of exposure to their company, which surely would be beneficial in the long run. I think it’s just companies either wanting to forget it exists, or just don’t care enough to preserve their past works.
That's something I like to call horded media, as opposed to lost media. It's annoying how many shows are "lost" simply because the studio doesn't want to due to the lack of consumer interest or just can't due to idiotic copyright tangles. I've been looking for the 90's Casper cartoon for some time now. Only most of the first season was released on 2 DVD volumes, and anything else is a couple taped off of TV episodes here and there. Worse yet, Toonsylvania, which only had ONE compilation movie made out of 4 episodes released to home video. I don't see why Universal doesn't just dump them on peacock. Only thing I can see holding Casper up would be Amblin's partial ownership, as Universal owns the character after the Dreamworks buyout.
@@mightyfilm Horded media is deadass the best description for this type of stuff I've ever heard. It's half the reason why things get lost to begin with in my eyes.
@@mightyfilm The average consumer does not know nor care about lost media, so why should companies appeal to these niche markets? It would ultimately make them lose money
Hey, that's me at 20:35! Its honestly hard to believe it's been around three years since the search really took off. Progress is indeed admittedly slow, but it's better than nothing! I've got some big plans, but we'll see if they bear any fruit in due time. I'll keep you updated, just as I have been!
Wow, it looks like there's some cool stuff on your channel that I will be watching later. I hope we're able to see that movie someday. Those APPP OVAs were my introduction to the JoJo franchise, which I saw in 1995 as an exchange student in Japan. I really enjoyed watching those OVAs despite not knowing exactly what was going on in them*. I remember being surprised to learn that Skywalker Sound and a western composer were used. I remember the interviews at the end of the tape with the Skywalker Sound people. They all loved Iggy and were disappointed when they learned what happened to him in the series. * Mainly because I'm not fluent in Japanese, but also I now know that what I was watching was the second half of the third part of a story. Despite all this I was still entertained by it.
I'd really like to do a formal update video with you at some point like we briefly talked about already, didn't want to spoil all the details in this video haha
I'm most interested in the conclusion of Pink Morning Cartoon, because Blameitonjorge's video got me hooked on it, though I'll only follow TH-cam video updates. I'm also curious about the Jimmy Two-Shoes pilot, because I want to know if I actually do remember seeing it as a kid
@LoveRetro44 Not many. I don't even know if I actually did see it, because I'm American. Only that one episode of the show had an origin for how Jimmy, Heloise & Beezy all met. I may just be suffering from a brain fart, though, because I was 4 when it premiered. Also, it showed Jimmy first coming to Miseryville, though I don't remember if that was what it was called yet
I honestly think you are the best lost media content creator because you don't ham it up. You just calmly explain the story. I also like your obvious passion for minituae.
Another longstanding search surrounding Sonic is for the full version of Tokyo international forum version of sonic adventure's main theme, Open Your Heart. This version has been searched for by fans for decades now, to the point where there are even a couple of fan made recreations. Thankfully there is a low quality video of the performance from the games launch event, but the only thing that remains of the full quality song is a 2 minute rip from Sega's old website. Hopefully, the full song is found someday. EDIT: Damn I didn't think so many people would care about this. I actually do know one way this could get found, but it's a bit of a stretch. In an interview, Johnny Gioeli claimed that Sega would send him copies of the songs he had worked on. With this in mind, maybe Jun Senoue or Eizo Sakamoto still have a copy. It would just take someone asking them. The other idea is just ask the sonic social media team, as they have had a history with showing unused content. EDIT 2: I doubt most will care, but for what it's worth I tried restoring the demo myself. This includes all versions of the chorus along with some other restored bits. watch that here: th-cam.com/video/ljjJ89g-pQ8/w-d-xo.html
I didn't even know that this version of the song was a thing! It sounds great! Thanks for recreating it! Also I hope that more Sonic lost media will be found one day! I'm interested in Sonic mars, Sonic xtreme, Sonic DS, Sonic 16 and Sonic the hedgehog awakening the most. Sonic the hedgehog awakening intrigues me the most since it has the least information available.
@@sonicmaiden2871 Trust me sonic has no shortage of lost media. Personally, the thing I would most like to see aside from the full version of this, are the original demo tracks for sonic 3. The tracks for sonic and knuckles were seemingly released on an obscure Brazilian album in 1994, so that means sonic 3 demos likely existed at some point. (Link to album):th-cam.com/video/NHrzgn08ZgU/w-d-xo.html
@@grimpaper I agree! Sonic has a lot of lost media! Also I haven't heard this version tracks before! They sound similar to the final ones but they're cool in their own way! It would be cool if the Sonic 3 tracks will be found as well one day since Sonic 3 has a great soundtrack!
Honestly SEGA probably doesn't even have it because of the massive rumored deletion after Lost World that cause the Switch/PC of Sonic Colors to have to recreate everything from scratch
@@PixelTunes1010 Actually, we already know Sega lost it all the way back in 2000 due to taping over the SA1 masters for SA2. What I'm suggesting is Jun Senoue or Eizo Sakamoto may have copies given to them personally, similar to Johnny Gioeli. There's also one guy on TH-cam who says they found a direct capture, but didn't give the link, so there literally may be a video tape just floating about somewhere on the internet. I've gone searching but so far have been fruitless in contacting this guy or just finding the video myself. If your wondering where the claim comes from look in the description that guy's video: th-cam.com/video/LwzRMCNu6Rc/w-d-xo.html
The most frustrating part of Slamfest is that nintendo is fantastic at archiving their stuff, and very likely have a master of the recording, and potentially even the character costumes themselves. But they won't release them. Japanese companies are so ridiculously tight-lipped, it's infuriating.
None of that is relevant, the Slamfest was made by Nintendo of America and not Nintendo of Japan. They're a subsidiary that only deals with distribution pretty much.
Believe it or not, a video game historian that used to work with Nintendo in the 80s told me they're actually very bad at archiving their work. He ended up with a box of commercials that Nintendo asked to borrow from him!
@@aortaplatinum Yep, back during the 80's and 90's most companies Japanese or not, were abysmal at keeping old documents. This was mainly because most things was often considered useless after it's initial use, leading to the assets being thrown out. often times, music and commercial masters were taped over, which is a big part of why things like this end up lost. If the compony doesn't have it, and if no one else has it, there's not much you can do.
One thing that has surprised me for not being looked into too much are local newspaper TV guides. If I was looking for some obscure local show, I’d look for scans of the local paper and see if I can find the guides they used to print in them.
You absolutely need to cover the lost early 2000's-mid 2010's Signing on, Signing off, and mid programing bumpers from Adult Swim, that TH-cam is horrendously missing because my goodness I remember so many from my past but there is nowhere that has them all documented
Some of the actors of a filipino batman version are still alive and still active in the acting industry and move on to become actors on filipino television like gma and abs cbn channels
Once again excellent lost media video, LSSQ! :D I really do hope these pieces of lost media, and others, can finally be solved once, and for all. I especially want to see if the 1999 Slamfest exists, because if it does, I certainly would've gone crazy as a kid since my stepbrother, and I played the original Smash game countless times back in the late 1990's-early 2000's! XD
Yeah that's what so interesting to me is the fact that so many people could have potentially saved it but no one actually did except for a few screenshots. There have been rumors that a copy floated around online in the mid 2000s but I haven't been able to find proof of that yet.
For JoJo, another possibility why people aren't talking is that Japanese copyright law is waaay too restrictive. That's why there's barely any (domestically popular) Japanese music on streaming.
I saw 26 minute reconstruction of JoJo's Bizzarre Adventure: Phantom Blood Move from 2007 on youtube and went to the comments to find that one user claimed that her friend have seen that movie while being on his airplane travel and watching in on built-in TV's in everyone's seat
Three instances of lost media for professional wrestling: the rock with his custom belt, Kane with cape, Undertaker being called CAIN THE UNDERTAKER, million dollars man with WWF championship prior to wrestlemania 4
There's definitely pictures out there of Kane wearing the original cape with his outfit on house shows prior to his televised debut. There's also interview segments where Ted DiBiase is officially referred to as the WWF World Champion. The Snake Pit interview that Rizokahn mentions is definitely lost and something I'd love to see.
Speaking of popular media, there is a piece of lost media for the movie Coraline that I vividly remember which takes place in a basement (where she confronts a monstrous version of the Other Father). This is going to be long but someone please tell me I’m not crazy. 1) The scene takes place after the garden scene, but before the final confrontation, where upon entering the Other World’s Pink Palace Coraline is swallowed up by the floor of the house, and in the darkness meets the Other Father even more deformed. He chases her around the basement, telling Coraline to “run” in a warped voice, he corners her (snapping at her with bug-like jaws). Coraline avoids his attack, and runs up the stairs with the Other Father crawling up after her, she turns around to face him and he disintegrates in front of her. Coraline then goes on to confront the Other Mother for the final time. 2) I saw this scene in theaters (3D) when the movie was first released, within the first week of its release. Other people I’ve talked to who saw the movie in theaters within the first 3 weeks (especially the 3D version), vividly remember this scene, while those who saw the movie after the 4-5 week don’t, and those who have only seen the home/ Netflix releases don’t recall it either (and the scene isn’t on either of those releases). 3) I have never read the book, or any adaptations other than the movie, but I have been informed the Other Father basement scene /is/ a part of the book. But I myself am very sure that this scene was also in the movie, and only recently discovered it was a part of the book when talking to a friend. This scene is also not in any of the deleted scenes from the movie. 4) Myself and several others who all went to the 3D experience during the opening couple weeks each remember this scene (so it isn’t just me). Does anybody else who saw Coraline in theaters remember this?
I haven't watched the scene myself but upon reading your comment I did search it up and there is a reddit post talking about it which confirms other people online have seen it. I'm really interested in this topic now since Coraline is one of my favorite movies
@@1deron1 if you find anything out give me a reply! I’ve talked with others since this comment who saw the movie release week in 3D and they also remember this scene being in the movie.

@@carmenwinstead693 Sonic 06 is a great game, definitely better than anything you could ever make. If people gonna ignore the awful level design Mania occasionally has, like Green Hill act 2, and still call that game a masterpiece, I don't see why we 06 fans aren't allowed to defend it. It has a great storyline, great music, and beautiful levels with many branching paths. The controls and unfinished aspects will put off many people, I understand that, and you don't have to like it, but why are people not allowed to like what you don't? Sonic 4, both episodes but mostly 2, is a way better game than Mania too. Better music, better bosses, better story, better throwbacks, yet people like you hate it. Have you heard of the so called lost "Sommo Luminescente 24k"? It's an incredible story about a still-lost physical piece of Italian media that defined a generation over there. I think you would find it really interesting, especially given it is a real gold card we are talking about.
@@redlikeroses3705 I compiled all the known informations on a Lost Media Wiki Forums thread of the same name (unfortunately TH-cam doesn't let me link it). I remember the hype of the Jojo fandom at the time when the Phantom blood movie was announced. I hope it does get found one day, I'd love to finally see it.
love trying to find lost media. i love the act of trying to archive everything and anything under the sun - in hopes that some day, some person might discover a 1970s country gospel album and think, "yeah, that sounds pretty cool, but that cover art" trying to find a fanfic from 2002-03: it was a really strange Kim Possible fanfic called Ten Thousand Promises and it had Kim and Ron teaming up with Indiana Jones and Tommy Vercetti out of all people. it was a really strange crossover fic with humor thrown in and a serious moment where Ron took too much Tylenol while also grieving over his grandma. i've been looking for that fic for a long, long, long time.
Added note: it was a sequel fic to a story called "Stuck in the Janitor's Closet" (or some variation on "stuck") - meant to be about how Ron felt when Kim was dancing with Josh Mankey.
I actually remember some lost media that my family once owned. It was in a VHS contained on a dust cover that promoted Camel tobacco products, and it featured some strange early CGI music videos that were essentially previews for something bigger. The songs in the CGI music videos included songs like "The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" and "We're On The Planet", since the latter wasn't necessarily a Nursery Rhyme while the rest were. I can't remember the name of the series that was previewed, though.
this video reminded me of a webcomic I have been a bit passionate about finding the entirety of the comic is called Kirby of the Stars and is basically Kirby 64 but if they were all humans the comic was originally posted onto smackjeeves but the page doesn't exist anymore have tried the wayback machine but the pictures are either broken or they no longer exist found an external source that had 36 pages there are 156 pages altogether
Just did a little googling and according to some wordpress review the creator of the comic is metaishopeless/sonictheunknown. She is still active on social media and YT so you could ask her about it.
Yep, everything from Smackjeeves is gone unless it was purposely archived. Same with many, many famous image and comic hosts from years ago. I believe I read a little of this one, but I wasn't really into Kirby at the time. It might just be old shame for the author - I personally have some old Smackjeeves comics of mine that I won't rehost because they're pretty terrible.
I know this is futile, and very very niche - but any other gen z people remember LPS orphan killer? It was one of the most popular 'Littlest Pet Shop' series in the youtube hayday of 'LPS' videos. It was 15 episodes long - and was doing very well until the uploader - 2punkgirls/macy dutchess - disappeared off the face of the planet (it seems). The youtube account was completely deleted a year/couple years after episode 15 part 1 (finale) was uploaded in january of 2012. The episodes are still available to see on the wayback machine, but aren't viewable. The only other social media i could find related to this user was a twitter account which hasn't been active since 2011-2012. There has been a reupload of episode 1 on youtube, and there are clips in 'mv's' on youtube but apart from that I haven't found much of anything from the series. I know it's stupid to search for such a niche thing, but I really enjoyed this series as a child, and wonder what happened to the creator, if they're ok, or if they'd simply just had enough and wanted it all gone.
I will give you 100 dollars if you find out what happend to the English end theme of Ouran high-school host club. The song slaps but the version without the anime English dub voice lines has never been found
You just unlocked a memory i didn't even know i had. I remember being a kid way back in the day looking everywhere for the full version of the english ending theme but being confused why i couldnt find it and thinking someone would upload it eventually
Akazukin ChaCha's English dub is most certainly one of those cases, so are C.I.T.Y. 2000 Paris, the Sonic 1 Tokyo Toy Show prototype & of course, the Sega Genesis games that took use of the HeartBeat Catalyst peripheral(Outback Joey was dumped last year, but the other 3 are still lost).
I would honestly hope to contact Sega to see if they have a HD copy of the Sonic 06 trailer, but it’s possible they may not have it, but someone could try?
Hey I’m still somewhat new to you videos supersonic. Just wanted to let you know I always look forward to your videos , and they do bring me a lot of joy when I need a good pick me up as well. ,ICU love and keep on keeping on. Take care
I think this may interest you about the Sonic 06 clean rip. I've seen it back in 05 on an official but now defunct Sonic website called Sonic Central (not to be confused with the live stream) There they would release trailers for upcoming Sonic games, or teasers. When they were advertising 06 around 2005 one of the banners that led to the trailer was a screenshot from the old teaser. But that's all I can remember
Sounds the most plausible to me. Also, do you happen to remember any version that had Japanese text scrolling near the top of the screen? That was the version I watched as a kid, and was confused as to why newer versions are both camera recordings and missing the text. I wouldn't be surprised if Sega tried to take down all evidence of the trailer out of embarrassment for the final product.
@@grimpaper I do recall seeing something like that on TH-cam somewhere back in 07... Although from what I remember the Japanese texts were very blurry and hard to read.
@@Supermariorpg6 One last thing to note about this version is that from what I can remember it was up until at least 2012, as that was the last time I saw it. Not sure why no one noticed it was there at the time. I wish I had archived it myself at the time, but I was both very young, and didn't know people were looking for this.
@@grimpaper That's the sad thing about these sort of things, especially with online media...There's this false conception that whatever on the internet forever stays on the internet. While there's some truth to that, with my long history being online for 20 years, a lot of things do come and go. Like a few years ago, I was searching endlessly for the Shadow the Hedgehog April 1st teaser that I assumed was lost because it was on the defunct Sonic Central website. Luckily I found it on an old IGN upload... So who knows where the Sonic 06 teaser could be.
I will say as someone alive in 1999 the internet you would need to stream something back then would probably be only 1% of the population being able to watch it.
Here's a lost media long search you might be interested in. There is a television logo for a company called T.A.T Communications Company that has been lost for decades. The company in question was a distributor for classic sitcoms such as One Day at a Time and The Jefferson's. The logo has been lost for decades (mainly due to the logo being replaced when it was bought out by Embassy and then Sony), until late 2017 or early 2018 when half of the logo was found (and then being cut off by a CBS ID). To this day, the search for recordings of the full logo is still going on The logo is the most sought after search in the logo community, even becoming a meme in the logo community. Lost media regarding to TV or movie logos is a very interesting topic that not too many "lost media" TH-camrs talk about.
I hope slamfest is found soon! The idea of people in Nintendo character costumes fighting it out in the ring is so interesting to me. I’d love to see how that played out, sounds like it’s really entertaining! But I do have my doubts about it being released. If anyone had it, it would be Nintendo. Nintendo is pretty good with their archival stuff, so they most likely have it in their vaults. But I doubt they’d ever release it.
I think you’re looking in the wrong place for that Sonic 06 trailer. You’ve been looking at PCs. You should be checking Xbox 360 hard drives. Back in the day you didn’t stream Xbox 360 trailers, you had to download them. Because capture cards were hard to get working back then, my guess is someone recorded their 360 feed off their HDTV since there was no way to get the footage off the hard drive and transferred to a PC at the time (at least not officially)

For you non Filipinos, let me give you a taste of how terrible film preservation is. It was live streamed? Over the internet? In ‘99? Now I can see it being on Nintendo website but I doubt there was ever a video recording in the first place
I have gone through hell looking for one concert video. the film was "Kraftwerk at the Caribe Hilton: 1975". I've traveled from all the way to Puerto Rico (I'm German). I decided to look into it and here's what I found: It aired live on WKAQ Telemundo, beginning at 8:25pm and ending at 11:40pm, on the 30th of April, 1975. Telemundo did not have VTRs or Kinescopes, so they had no way to record it.

I don't remember the details anymore, but the Spector Creative channel covered this one. th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=%22Spector+Creative%22+%22wonder+bread+he-man%22
Also, even if Slamfest and Batman are found, are people allowed to release them (since Nintendo owns the rights to Smash and DC owns the rights to Batman)? I'm especially nervous if someone found the copy of Batman Fights Dracula and released it because if they release it and DC takes the video down and terminates the user due to the film being unauthorized and unlicensed, then we may never see the film ever again or at all because DC will likely either have it secured in their archives forever, or throw it away after that user uploads it (especially since it's from the 60s).
Has anyone thought of contacting the actors from Batman Fights Dracula? I'm from Philippines and I recognize some of the actors as they're still active in the industry.
Does sonic in Sydney counts as something for lost media?, it is only know of thanks to a commercial CD and some photos of the scenario, at first a costume play and later changed into a puppet play, There´s not much more find, only that there was a set up for Sonic and Tails to come out at places in the park to banter in the middle of the public, also the play have a original bird character who was the narrator of the play.

Not worried about Content ID because we'd be fast-forwarding 99% of it
Have you thought about uploading the content of the tapes to the internet archive? There could very well be lost commercials or bumpers on the tapes
@@lightyagami3492 I'd love to, but I don't really have the equipment to record any of it digitally. For my idea to stream it, I'd be pointing the camera at my old CRT ;_;
I also don't think it'd be practical to rip hundreds and hundreds of tapes.

True, it's even worse when they show snippets only to yank it back, Blue Prints is a good example of this nonsense.

@@sonicmaiden2871 Trust me sonic has no shortage of lost media. Personally, the thing I would most like to see aside from the full version of this, are the original demo tracks for sonic 3. @@PixelTunes1010 Actually, we already know Sega lost it all the way back in 2000 due to taping over the SA1 masters for SA2. The most frustrating part of Slamfest is that nintendo is fantastic at archiving their stuff, and very likely have a master of the recording, and potentially even the character costumes themselves. But they won't release them. Japanese companies are so ridiculously tight-lipped, it's infuriating.
Is it for budget reasons?
None of that is relevant, the Slamfest was made by Nintendo of America and not Nintendo of Japan. They're a subsidiary that only deals with distribution pretty much.
Believe it or not, a video game historian that used to work with Nintendo in the 80s told me they're actually very bad at archiving their work. He ended up with a box of commercials that Nintendo asked to borrow from him!
@@LSuperSonicQ oh god damn really? Huh.
@@aortaplatinum Yep, back during the 80's and 90's most companies Japanese or not, were abysmal at keeping old documents. For JoJo, another possibility why people aren't talking is that Japanese copyright law is waaay too restrictive. That's why there's barely any (domestically popular) Japanese music on streaming.
But pirating exposed their media to the rest of the world, ironic.

I'm really interested in this topic now since Coraline is one of my favorite movies

i've been looking for that fic for a long, long, long time.

I can't remember the name of the series that was previewed, though.
this video reminded me of a webcomic I have been a bit passionate about finding the entirety of
the comic is called Kirby of the Stars and is basically Kirby 64 but if they were all humans
the comic was originally posted onto smackjeeves but the page doesn't exist anymore
have tried the wayback machine
but the pictures are either broken or they no longer exist
found an external source that had 36 pages
there are 156 pages altogether

I've seen it back in 05 on an official but now defunct Sonic website called Sonic Central (not to be confused with the live stream)
There they would release trailers for upcoming Sonic games, or teasers.

@@JZJ7777 because it's doo doo, it's a disgrace to my old cartoons and the legacy of Walter Lantz!
I had no idea about the Slamfest 99 search. I remember watching the fight after searching for where the Super Smash Bros ad fight scene came from. It was bad quality from what I remember and wasn't what I was expecting. Nothing I would have saved for sure.
Still wondering when that Spyro movie is coming out 🤣
Wait, sense when where getting a Spyro movie?! That sounds great!
@@grimpaper i guess it’s supposed to be “the legend of Spyro 3D” but it was canceled in 2010. Don’t think it’ll ever get picked up again…
Try and find Season 1 of The Shapies. I have been trying for over a decade now to find, but no luck. Could you please spread the word cause someone must have tapes or something. I miss watching it. I used to watch it on Saturdays on PBS back in 2002 here in the U.S
crazy how the pieces of media that we have most of are the hardest to find
It was live streamed? Over the internet? In ‘99?
Now I can see it being on Nintendo website but I doubt there was ever a video recording in the first place
Well, considering it’s considered lost now, a video is doubtful.
I wanna watch the JJBA OVAS,but until the first part OVA is found,I’ll put it off-
I hope the lost jojo movie can be found soon
The lost jojo movie and earthbound 64 are tied for my number 1 most wanted pieces of lost media.
I think I'm gonna help with the earthbound 64 and lost jojo media it would be hard but I will try my best looking
I have gone through hell looking for one concert video. the film was "Kraftwerk at the Caribe Hilton: 1975". I've traveled from all the way to Puerto Rico (I'm German). I decided to look into it and here's what I found:
It aired live on WKAQ Telemundo, beginning at 8:25pm and ending at 11:40pm, on the 30th of April, 1975. Telemundo did not have VTRs or Kinescopes, so they had no way to record it.
As a massive Jojo fan, I do hope that the movie gets recovered soon, even if the quality is awful, I still need to see it.
Same
just got off from a long day at work, perfect timing
I'm still searching for Diary of a wimpy kid: Greg goes to vietnam (A "dramatic" reading) :( the creator got banned and no one saved the video
Wait i think that's similar to mickey mouse goes to vietnam aka short subject which is found a few years ago with opening title and end credit and audio found
What?
I legit got an ad with the Smash 64 ad song (Happy Together by The Turtles) before this video
And to think you and Blameitonjorge are the reason I enjoy learning about lost media 🤩
19.3.22
I guess third time really is the charm
The pink morning stuff seriously looks like something like the Walten Files or something lol, spoopy
Does anyone know what the song at 10:00 is? It sounds familiar. It'd be cool if there was a playlist for all of the songs used in your videos!
I hope the people who bought all those tapes resell them to someone else to archive the commercials!
Piece of lost media that needs more attention: Flipnotes!!!
Flipnotes gives me MySpace vibes. We know it’s lost, but it’s nearly impossible to compile all of them and post them. Gone forever
What are you guys talking about the audio is working for me
i remember seeing a clip of the characters from slamfest holding hands and skipping around in grass with a song playing in the background like a few years ago
That's an iconic commercial using the same costumes. Other than the costumes it's unrelated.

That was from an advertisement for the original Super Smash Bros, they probably used the same costumes.

That's just a super smash bros commercial that has been on youtube for years now
always good when you upload
Thank you for watching! There's always lost media out there worth discussing in videos.
I'll be old and decrepit by the time the Phantom Blood movie gets found. In the meantime, I'm getting Dio Brando tattooed on my arm to start off my patchwork sleeve
Is the Saturday Morning cartoon "Peter Pan and the Pirates" lost media? I remember that show but can't actually find it. Another show I remember but can't find is "Hyper-Man".
Hmm was it “The adventures of Hyperman” by any chance?
LOST MEDIA: Wonder bread He-Man where is it why do people think it exists
I don't remember the details anymore, but the Spector Creative channel covered this one.

i can't believe you're first video on Slamfest is almost 2 years old by now
For 2 years I've been thinking the search is only a few months old haha
I remember watching stuff on Pink Morning Cartoon by Blameitonjorge a while. It could be interesting to see if it can be found
Hey I don’t know if you know but Hello Oswald was found! ALL 8 VOLUMES
"Pink morning cartoon" from a lost cartoon that god didn't want being found to a lost cartoon that the devil didn't want being found
Also, even if Slamfest and Batman are found, are people allowed to release them (since Nintendo owns the rights to Smash and DC owns the rights to Batman)? I'm especially nervous if someone found the copy of Batman Fights Dracula and released it because if they release it and DC takes the video down and terminates the user due to the film being unauthorized and unlicensed, then we may never see the film ever again or at all because DC will likely either have it secured in their archives forever, or throw it away after that user uploads it (especially since it's from the 60s).
I really want to see the Phantom Blood Movie...
The sounds not on!
Has anyone thought of contacting the actors from Batman Fights Dracula? I'm from Philippines and I recognize some of the actors as they're still active in the industry.
In you next video of lost media, could you see if there’s anything (lost media) for Kim Possible please?
bruh I need that outro music it's so good
Does sonic in Sydney counts as something for lost media?, it is only know of thanks to a commercial CD and some photos of the scenario, at first a costume play and later changed into a puppet play, There´s not much more find, only that there was a set up for Sonic and Tails to come out at places in the park to banter in the middle of the public, also the play have a original bird character who was the narrator of the play.
robin being called ruben is so filipino 😭
That was a pretty great video 💯👏 interesting af
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed

Any chance we’ll get another spirit quest episode? Really loved that series
I have a copy of the Phantom Blood moie guide/artbook I flipped through it on my account.
You should scan the pages. It looks like there's a lot though
I’m still holding out hope for pink morning cartoon updates
Ella Flowers' legacy lives on
One day Batman fights Dracula will be found. 😀👍
Hey so i got a super difficult piece of lost media! So back when i was i want to say 5 or 6 (im 28 "93" is my birth year) , i remember before cartoon network started boomerang was on so like 4:30-6am-ish it was a show about living cars in a city. I don't remember if there were voice lines but im 100% sure the main car was a little red coop or something like that.
Omg I might remember it!
i still wonder the number about all the lost media out there
Its such a horrible waste that i was spending '99 drinking and smoking and dating girls, instead of watching Slamfest '99. ...ill never forgive myself.
Oahahaha
What the hell? I remember watching jojo’s phantom blood a couple months ago. I was wanting to watch the entire jojo series but didn’t have a streaming service to do that. So I went looking for versions i could watch for free and after a while of searching, I found what I thought was the first episode on a sketchy site with hella adwear. I think The name had like free and or movie(s)/show(s)
17:17 I know where this is going! I'm getting out before it's too late!
Great video! Feedback - the music (especially in the first few minutes) was too fast for how slowly you were talking. (Or vice versa, talking too slow for the music). Very cool content, including the visuals, but I definitely care a lot about the audio experience.
New video nice!
Hey this doesn’t have much to do with this exact video but it does with lost media. I have a lot of Bellcore, AT&T, etc VHS tapes that might be lost media but I’m not 100% sure. if they are could somebody could let me know
I plan on uploading them to TH-cam anyways
If anybody wants the exact name of the tapes please let me know
