Acid wash and then euro epoxy primer Bonding agents and adhesion promoters are used more on fiberglass than the tile because they are not acid washed. I use a Euro Epoxy Primer that creates a great bond with the top coat. I use Resurface Solutions system You should check it out
I always use the acid wash gel but just didn't show it. I sprayed a primer sealer over all of the tile. that's what I showed spraying first. Cleaning / Degreasing, Acid wash with integrity coating gel, clean with defilmer, then spray a primer, then spray 3 coats of the finish material. Same process as this video here th-cam.com/video/LJ4tgJzggIY/w-d-xo.html
It was bonded very well and I was sanding it with an orbital with 60 grit sandpaper and it wasn’t even breaking through. It’s not always necessary, especially if you test the integrity of the coating. So we used bondo to feather out the edges. Came out beautiful and I give a 2 year workmanship warranty. If the undercoat was weak I would not give a warranty but since I tested it with the 60 grit on the orbital it’s totally fine.
Nice work!
Thanks!
Prep is the key to a beautiful finish like that one.
So important.

Nice to meet you. I am enjoying your video. I have a question. What paint do you use?
In this video I used Resurface solutions.
Can you use an airless sprayer like a Graco for this?
Yes, if you can spray polyurethanes.
Quick question How’s Braden doing is learning how to use each product that you use on each job
Watching, doing it himself, and even filming helps
@@DPTubs that’s true thanks for sharing your videos

Why didn’t you take off the old paint of the bathtub?
