I’m having Chemotherapy for Multiple Myeloma and obviously I cannot work, these videos have given me the enthusiasm to try and slowly restore my E46 BMW 330d Msport touring..last week I managed to change the front wings thanks Adam ❤️👍
Another great vid Adam. Love the attention to detail replacing everything that needs doing but doing it cost effectively. Top Tip don't put copper slip on brakes ( yup a lot of people do ) use high temp grease. If you were on should we say a spirited session it will withstand higher temps and continue to its job. Good luck with the future plans with the car, house and vids keep them coming
I love your no nonsense videos Adam. Great content for the DIY petrol head. Doing it yourself is more satisfying and done with care. You are doing a nice job on your Cossie. It's look superb and it's value will only be heading in one direction.
When i use those pipe cutters, after ive made the cut, i tend to use a large drill bit to take away any rough edges. Might be overkill but it allows for smooth flow.
Love what your doing Adam, i get the "do it properly " comments but this is what its all about sometimes get it on the road and enjoy it😎(bet i get slated for this comment)
Proper job Adam well done good job that you got all tools for job love how you won’t do a job unless it’s done properly good look with house move mate 👍🏽👍🏽
I did this but got refurbished callipers, which didn’t come with brackets & brakes kept binding. Took ages to realise they had got swapped around and were warped to fit my old callipers.
Adam, great job mate. One question; why so much copper-coat on the back of your brake pads? When that get hot it’s probably gonna run on to your calipers, plus it will collect a lot of dust and crap off the road….
Drill a hole in a block of wood and pull the brake pipes through it that gets them straight. Also that copper washer you put on needs to go on the calliper side mate 👍.
Never heard of copper Kunifer not being suitable for ABS. What was the reason you were told? I used to manage a carparts shop and made hundreds of brake lines for many many different cars. Copper brake lines are infinitely better quality than mild steel because it dont rust and is very flexible. Only downside is price-its more expensive.
Cunifer is extremely carcinogenic if grinded or welded. It’s very anti corrosive, but banned in the us and Russia, so just be very careful if you do an modifications to that stuff
I just know youre gunna want that car on a rotisserie one day to clean that floor up......good flare tool though I thought most flares were 2 stsge not single stage.
It's a shame you spent all this time to make the care nice and tidy on the underside to go and slap copper grease all over the pad when you only need a light smear where it touched the caliper and I would of used brake grease personally as its made for the job and its clear.

You’re doing a cracking job on that Escort Cosworth Adam, such a stunning car. All the best on the house move front as well
I really admire your dedication to your cars, i wish I'd of been physically capable of doing something like this when i was younger.
Looking spot on mate, it should be a pleasure for you, working on the car in future all those new parts and new hardware
To straighten brake pipes iv always used a peace of 3 by 2 wood block with a hole drilled through it and pull the pipe through.
Looking good . What a car for the summer 👌🏻
Adam good to see you put some decent Pagid brake pads on her. You'll soon have her back on the road mate.
Magic mate 👌🏽keep up the good work Adam

You did put the copper washer on the calliper end I’m assuming as you looked to have put one on the bracket. Good luck 🤞

Someone else has mentioned it mate but the flare on the copper pipe @ 5.05 should be opp 2 on the flaring tool not opp 1.
Do you want some brake pad with your copper grease sir?
Timey bit on each lug at each end
😂😂
Enjoyed this one mate, doing a cracking job, loveeee the car ❤
Seen you today on A19 about 1 o'clock. Looking nice 👍

Definitely getting progress 👍
Great video mate. I love that car
Drill a hole in a block of wood and pull the brake pipes through it that gets them straight. Also that copper washer you put on needs to go on the calliper side mate 👍.
Yeah. Not on the arm end 🫣
Yeah i noticed the washer when I edited the video. I’ll change that 👍🏼
Adam when will the escort be on the road for summer? Are you close or is there still plenty to do? You’re doing a grand job 👍🏻

It's looking great Adam 👍 👌 , nice clean parts 👌 shame to take it out on the road 😮😂, enjoy when you do though 😉
That copper washer should go on the caliper, shouldn’t it? Car is looking great.
Nice job Adam
At some point in the future, you might regret putting threadlock on those caliper mounting bolts.
Cunifer is extremely carcinogenic if grinded or welded. It’s very anti corrosive, but banned in the us and Russia, so just be very careful if you do an modifications to that stuff
Class as always Adam keep it up hope you doing ok 👌
Hey Adam what’s the partnumber of the brake tool I want to get myself one like that !
Think you mis-used the copper washer lad ,,
Its ment to go onto the (line to calliper)
Not on the joining where you used it to the copper line🤘
@jamiem3068 - just incase he goes to drive it and brakes leak all fluid out 🙈
Yeah. I noticed when i edited the video. I’m going to change that 👍🏼
@@Adam151082 - dont wan u crashing lad ✌️✌️
Why you moving house , after sorting that good garage?
Yu should be using aqua lube or copper slip on all yu bolts n fittings mate on that rebuild.
I just know youre gunna want that car on a rotisserie one day to clean that floor up......good flare tool though I thought most flares were 2 stsge not single stage.
Wheres the flaring tool from?
Adam im assuming a new garage will be getting built in your new house??!!!
Adam do you know anyone thats done an engine swap on a transit? Wanted to know what id need to do to put an ST engine in my transit tourneo
I can’t work out why you lay all over the floor when you have a 2 post lift 🤔
I probably couldn’t get my 3dr out if the escort was on the lift
@@Adam151082 🤙🏼
Will you need to build another garage Adam ??
What you doing with all that copper slip😱
Bin those copper lines. Green steel lines are the way
Savage Adam
😂 you can tell the blokes who have daughters, we have a Hetty hoover 😅
👍🏴
That brake line can be had from the local motor factors for about 8 quid.
Ebay special prices 30 quid 😆 🤣 😂
You back with your missis mate im sick you have stopped do your videos
👍👍👍👍
Tip top pal 👍🏻
Only a hundred EACH for those ABS sensors? BARGAIN!
A clean MK5 shell and buying all the bits would have saved you a bit of hassle at this points surely? 😂😂😂
How does your Mrs put up with you Lad.
💪😎
Absolutely gutted for you. You could see in that clip at the end when you stopped talking how gutted you was. Hopefully you get sorted soon
@RealAdamSmith- about what mate?
Why you moving mate thats a cracking garage you have. You wont get that again
You’ve got anti squeal shims on those pads. No need to use Copperease.
It's a shame you spent all this time to make the care nice and tidy on the underside to go and slap copper grease all over the pad when you only need a light smear where it touched the caliper and I would of used brake grease personally as its made for the job and its clear.
If ya watch the video to the end he’s wiped it all off. Spastic
I'm not envious. HONEST!
