There are two points that I want to make here. First, it's not just a missed opportunity to not worship Cayden Cailean as a Drunken Master. The real best part would be playing as a mythic Trickster, summoning Beer Elementals, and drinking them to restore Drunken Ki. Second, looking at the Chelaxian Diva, I think it's a class specifically designed for Galfrey. Banshee screams, an ability that refences a monologue from a betrayed queen, a haste ability that causes fatigue which undead ignore, and most of all everything taken away is the supportive stuff that usually adds morale bonuses that undead can't use. If they don't patch Galfrey as a diva and Cair as a Ghost Rider, they are just doing it wrong.
Thats...actually a really cool idea. Queen Galfrey the undead diva? I'd drink to that. In fact, I can't help but wonder if that might be a class idea for Galfrey if she were to be corrupted by the Devil mythic path. That's essentially a betrayal of her values, at least.
@@MisterHanRPG I considered that too. There is no confirmation that she would be a playable ally to a Devil yet. Possibly if you were playing Aeon -> Devil and had a romance with her, took her into Threshold as a Diva instead of a Paladin after corrupting her? It seems possible.
about the drunken master alignment, i believe that's a bug/oversight since it was suposed to be non-lawful, per owlcat own words. and yes, you're right: who would want to play a LAWFUL drunkard who can't even worship the best of all gods?
Lawful Drunken Master is a fun concept. "Yeah I'm gonna get completely smashed, but I'm not gonna keep the pub open past their closing time and I'll always make it to the toilet in time."
"Ugh, making a Fighter class that's more fun than a spellcaster is tough. Anybody got any ideas?" "I have an idea. Anyone remember that Monkey Grip feat from Neverwinter Nights 2? Let's make a class out of it."
Really feels like they wanted to make deceiver a whole new class. Also, titan fighter dip could be really good for casters to stack quarterstaff bonuses. Also, i love the idea of a Lawful evil/neutra Mantis Zealot basically contracted to murder areelu by the Queen (and once they find out about her ascension plan, divinely mandated to do so) in a party with Greybor, Regill, Lann and maybe Daeran.
At the very least I would like if you could respec them within a few options. Like you could change Seelah to another Paladin archetype. Nenio could be any class that used Intelligence spellcasting. Wenduag could be a fighter, barbarian or ranger. Etc... Basically being able to respec them as long as it kept their theme. Though I would personally like if they just allowed anything.
How about titan fighter, and also bloodrager bloodline (snake i think?) that adds more range to melee attacks, THEN enlarge/legendary proportions with 2 reach weapons (fauchard for high crit range?) and add cleaving finish line. Then be able to melee attack with the aoe at least as big as fireball.
Yeah Kinetic Sharpshooter is def the best class in the game atm. I agree with the comment section here basically it adds your bow damage (there is a very powerful Heavy Crossbow in a DLC that is very suited for this class) AND all on hit effects from the bow to your kinetic blast. It is just outright SUPERIOR to basic Kineticist no doubts. Ofc Elemental Engine is still gonna do more damage BUT the on hit effects should more than make up for the differences in damage here. Also SCM dip would be the go to for most mounted builds now. Being capable of ignoring difficult terrain is just too massive to pass up on a charge build tbh and this just makes Legend builds the premier MP for all mounted builds rn. S+ class for sure.
I think you misunderstood kinetic archer. When you cast a blast with a bow equipped it's always free and adds all the damage from your bow. For example I set air blast to autocast and it shoots by bow and adds the blast damage. The quiver gives you charges that you can spend in place of accepting more burn, so at level 3 if you use it twice, you can spend 6 burn without taking any. For example using the aoe arrow blast three times.
The issue is that losing move-action Gather Power turns off both Kinetic Overcharge and Supercharge, and means if you're ambushed or your quiver runs out you either have to use actual zero-cost blasts or burn a standard action (and a point of actual burn) to get a new quiver. It shifts burn from being something you do in emergencies because you needed to move to being something you're just going to have to take as the day wears on if you use infusions at all. Not to mention the ambush shenanigans you can do with a Gather Power 3 from stealth. You're also locked out of Extend Range, and therefore Eruption, Cloud and Deadly Earth. Cloud and DE are kind of terrifyingly powerful, and while you still have Wall, the ability to have multiple control zones, either at different chokepoints or layered, is pretty high-value. There's some value (enhancement bonus to blast attack rolls, better crit stats, long range even while moving) but the price is high and the shift in feel won't be to everyone's tastes.
@@OtterSeaborne8901 and on the other hand while you do lose that what you also get is a much more group friendly kineticist. Another drawback was always the fact that forms could also hurt teammates. Getting more debuffs and such that you can use along with the sheer power of blasts as an archer means this archetype can fit into more group compositions easier. So you lose a bit of power yes, but you also can get a much more powerful archer that overall is both friendlier to kineticist newbies and more usable with the base game companions.
They added some good feats. Dissonant voice: add 1d6 sonic damage to every weapon of anyone affected by your bard songs. Also the Diva style feats. A free feint every time you start a song. Free attack against anyone feinted, and CHR to damage if the enemy's flat footed. (which feint makes you) So diva might be an acceptable melee bard, even. Or go a casting bard with Harmonic spell. If you cast a spell while a song is on, you get the performance back.
A lot of these new archetypes seem like totally new classes compared to their base counterparts. Stripping 80% of the base class features in exchange for new gameplay loops seems to be the Owlcat MO for a lot of these.
I mean, I'm all for it, I just wonder why, with what crazy powers people can get at high levels, this game bothers with prestige classes. You could totally make base classes out of a lot of those. The only multiclassing I hear people talk about a lot is the occasional dipping. That's my opinion, anyway.
@MisterHanRPG the bones of Pathfiner 1e are more than 20 years old at this point. A lot of stuff is antiquated. But yea, i like the new archetypes too. They feel really fun, and I welcome Owlcat breaking the RAW and building gameplay based on fun.
Magic Deceiver, as you mentioned, seems like a fun trickster role playing class. I imagine going for the UMD mythic ranks for the wizard spellbook could allow you to "bypass" the spell level of the class during the end game. Would even make sense with the role playing aspect of magic deceiver for you to suddenly grab a level 10 wizard spellbook. It will be interesting to see how that works with "ways of the deceiver" paths that changes UMD.
It feels like Drunken Master should have reversed alignment restrictions since the current model allows for a Drunken Master Lich, and while hilarious to imagine, is kind of impossible.
@@phantomvulpe791 man this is such a awesome idea and I was just planing a trickster run with the drunken master so since thats impossible for now im going to steal your idea
The Titan Fighter makes me wanna play WOTR... :D Jeez, when will I have the time for that :)) Thank you for the detailed videos and for being my main source of Pathfinder content!! Awesome quality and chill vibes ;) On what content I would like to see, your top picks for hybrids and 1-point dips for unique and cool combos. As a pathfinder expert, I am sure you have plenty of those in mind :P
Magic Deceiver seems really interesting. I think it's much more it's own class than it is an Arcanist though. I also appreciate that they reigned it all in (my first thought was to just combine something like grease and Magic Missile for a no-save grease)
I have been thinking about magic deceiver and it might have more potential than I initially thought. I think the biggest issues are the lack of buffing spells and the much more limited number of spell slots. However, the combination effects are fairly powerful, particularly when using combinations that combine powerful single target effects with AOE spells. You can combine chain lightening with phantasmal killer or greater targeted dispels, for example, which is actually on a par with 9th level spells pretty comfortably. Granted, the spell DC is 3 lower, but evocation spells get +4 from gear, and you will usually be able to convert your spells to this school, whilst still retaining the mind effecting tag to get bonuses to mind effecting spells to further boost your DCs. I think combining it with azata for zippy magic, favourable magic and ability resets is a really nice combo. All spell slots for the magic deceiver will be reset by heroes never surrender, and with second wind you can also reset your spell replenishment powers over and over again. But chain lightening targeting + favourable magic means the enemy has to save with disadvantage twice against any spells you combine it with, which coupled with extra gear that you can use to buff DCs, will give you a very scary pseudo weird which still does hefty damage on a successful save. It will also mean double targeted greater dispels and hefty damage in an AOE. And the chain lightening will not be level capped, so spell specialisation, robe of seven sins, ashmaker and so on, your version of chain lightening will be rather powerful even without metamagic, and you can similar combine it with a second uncapped nuke, which will also be doubled up. If you had say, caster level 25, you could cast a spell which does 100d6 in a party friendly AOE, with either lingering damage or a stun effect. With the last azlanti amulet, that would be increased by 200. You could also take a crossblooded dip for a net gain of around 78 damage after accounting for the reduction in caster level. But even pure (which would require multiple ascendant elements but also open up elemental barrage), you level 6 nukes are party friendly AOEs averaging 550 on a failed save, which is certainly not bad. The option to go devil lategame will give you decent infinitely spammable spells which is another decent option given your limited spell slots, though will mainly shine at rank 10 in inevitable excess when you can spam overwhelming presence and use hells authority to hugely buff your spell damage and/or DCs. I would still prefer azata prior to then. On reflection, I think this archetype might be an extremely powerful offensive caster, albeit with significantly fewer spell slots and virtually no buffing capability (unless its from your mythic spellbook). Its certainly not bad, but I think the ability to combine spells with chain lightening and then double the effects with zippy magic is where its going to shine, so its heavily skewed towards Azata imo.
Also, as an alternative to multi mythic powers to overcome resistances, isn't there those stormlord gauntlets/bracers from act 3? As a spontaneous caster you'd get new spells AND get to turn everything to lightning, requiring only 1 resist bypass mythic ability.
About Magic Deceiver 2 questions: 1) Can we merge his spellbook with a lich, and if so, will we be able to use spell merges on the higher lvl spells we will gain from this (not the ones considered mythic, just the normal ones, or are all spells gained through merge considered mythic spells?) 2) Can we use magic device trickster thingy to gain Wizard spellbook and apply merges there, or we are restricted only to the arcanist spellbook? Regardless of that, the main drawback of the class is the limitation to 6th lvl spells, but with trickster we can get additional full wizard spellbook sooo... seems pretty neat to me.
1) No, Magic Deceiver is not a full arcane caster anymore despite coming from one and it has it's own spellbook per say 2) Not sure but I don't think you can mix the wizard spellbook with the Magic Deceiver one
The blood seeker sounds great but the negative energy healing is such a pain to deal with. But to go Legend mythic path and take 20 Bloodseeker / 20 Titan Fighter….
From a RP perspective, I’ve had a character concept rattling around my head for awhile for a person who was basically a nobody until they came across a magic sword. 3.x D&D had rules for intelligent items where if they were sufficiently powerful, and you were sufficiently weak willed, the magic item might start making decisions for you. This character would take that to the extreme, doing a RP run of the blade bound magus, where the peasant who found this highly intelligent sword is now more or less its meat suit. Wouldn’t make much of a difference in terms of how this would play in the video game (though it would be a fun concept for tabletop), but it’s not like I didn’t do plenty of RP head canon about what my Machiavellian ruler in kingmaker was doing when off camera because the “evil” choices the game gave you were so mustache twirlingly anti-social type evil that they often didn’t really fit a more grounded take on amorality. (By the end game I was damn near LG just by making the decisions a smart ruler with an interest in *appearing* moral and in building up his kingdom would make). So yeah, I might slot bladebound in in the not too distant future, and it can really translate to about any archetype from a RP perspective.
I would like to see what the Square looks like for the individual paths. Just finished an Azata playthru, which was mostly all about the fun, and referenced my Commander's origins a bit. Also what they added for those romance scenes(Arue's is okay, and certainly meaningful, but also played straight, and again, given I'M an Azata some of the dialogue sounded very specific to that path, but it might not be). Beyond that, hearing thoughts on the arena, and the various new piece of 'named' gear found throughout would be fun, I found only a few things that changed my builds, mostly given to my pet(A sabertoothed tiger), for added damage. For the moment, Bracers that add 10 to damage of 'weapons' include natural ones, so my kitty cat now deals +10 from that, +4 from studied target, and +1million thanks to all the other buffs...okay not that, but I rarely saw damage numbers even for claws below 50, so awesome. Oh, and this patch finally fixed Aivu so she no longer benefits from Tandem Executioner's studied target. Sadness. Mind, I think it buffered her defense, as she wasn't losing HP quite so fast, and didn't die at all in Threshold, which hasn't happened in a while. On the flipside, even given the best stuff I can give him, Bismuth(The triceratops spawned by the statue) seems to just roll over every fight.
After watching the whole video i concluded that the new archetypes are for more interesting then the older ones. They either make older absolute or breath new life into this game, take your pick.
I've been playing Bladebound from a mod, I am so glad its official, now! The only issue is deciding whether to play Bladebound, Tortured Crusader or Titan Fighter. Esp with Mythic Trickster.
You're wrong about kinetic sharpshooter. It's easily S+ and the best kineticist archetype damage-wise, especially in combination with trickster. 1. Yes, you lose some cool infusions such as deadly earth, but you also gain some unique cool infusions, and some generic ones become much more powerful (such as fan of flames which has the range of 50 with ranged weapon equipped). 2. Your blasts inherit weapon properties such as enchantment level, critical range/multiplier, and stuff like ghost touch which you can't really get anywhere else as a kineticist. 3. Most importantly, kinetic quiver is a straight up better way of managing burn than gather power as you can use it in advance right after rest instead of wasting actions in combat. You can fling TWO empowered and maximized composite blasts per round and go like this for an entire dungeon. This alone makes you superior in single target damage, but it's not like you lack aoe. You still have wall (with increased range), above-mentioned fan of flames (available as soon as lvl 3), and your own unique chain arrow that can even critically strike. Add trickster feats and trick fate spell, and you'll look at 3k damage per round for the main target and half of that in aoe. Not even the good old demon kineticist can do anything like that. Could have been even higher but unfortunately crit multiplier for blasts is capped at x4 even if your bow has x5. Probably a bug, but until it's fixed it's better to stick with crossbows.
Fantastic video as always, Slander! I love your class breakdowns so much! Will we see a short video featuring a reincarnated Judge Dredd as a Living Grimoire, literally hitting fools in the head with the enormous Book of THE LAAAWWW!?
I would love to See Camellia with Black Blade it combines so much with as a sadistic spoiled lady Sincerely the only "melee" or weapon based attack characters i like are the Telekinesis types like Sage in FFXIV or Irelia in League of Legends this is so Cool
the bladebound magus being limited to scimitar for their black blade is really kinda meh. it's like they realized they were giving Magus something cool and had to find a way to ruin it.
Someone tested MD and apparently there is some kind of combo that allow to CC pretty much everything on screen permamently and another that allow to get a decent shot at CC almost every boss in game.
Honestly I really wanted to do a run with Nenio as a Magic Deceiver but somebody needed to handle the Intelligence checks so I stuck her with Shadowcaster instead.
@@SlanderedGaming yeah usual problem. Too many classes not enugh party slots. I will propably use Woljiif on my current playthrou since experimenting with inciter. Since sneak attack aura is at level 14 soo his level will not be that much of a problem. Fiend totem for gore attack, Quilph on MC for bite. Mask of rapid bites, Dual wielding scimitars. Dip in to hunter for free outflank and sieze the initiative. Basicaly geting Selise and MC with sable company. Ulbrig in his gryphon form. Move inciter just enough to get what i want in rage song range. Fly charge and throw stupid number of attacks on anything i want gone.
Chexalian Diva> bard. Inspire Courage at 20: +5 att, +5 Damage, +5 vs fear and charm Diva's Haste Song at 20: +5 attack +5 AC, +5 vs reflex saves, and an extra attack because it's haste. And the haste song STACKS with other songs. So I have the Inciter Skald tanking with his raging song, while the bard gives the haste song. Doesn't matter what the other 4 party members are with that many buffs.
Thank you for the great work with mechanics breakdown. Good job as always. Personally most probably I will test Bladebound Magus because I liked seeing it being used by my friend when we played tabletop. Maybe I will also check out Living Grimoire because I find the idea of a learned priest very interesting.
Super interested in a magic deceiver playthrough. Arcanist is supposed to be this middle-ground between Wizards and Sorcerers, but in WOTR they are often feeling just like a worse version of both. Magic Deceiver actually makes the class unique. My only question is what Mythic Path to take now since losing full caster status as well as not really interacting with Merged Spellbooks makes lich a lot less powerful of a prospect. Though my next playthrough is 100% gonna be a Legend Titan Fighter
Ooh, very informative. Thank you! Nice watch while my game is patching and I wrangle my mind about what class and mythic path to play this time around..
I'm doing a trickster Living Grimoire, mainly so I can have fun using Completely Normal Spell to cast all day and gain all the buffs to my tome from doing so. Also, since they've added a new metamagic feat to let you break past the normal limit on spell damage dice, I'm curious to see if it works with some heavy hitters like hellfire ray, which would be the most hilarious to use on a trickster or their companions. I also notice that the Living Grimoire gets up to a +3 caster level buff when they hit an enemy with their tome, so even going non-legend it will be possible to make all the per-round buffs become 24h.
You know, I was looking up alternate builds for Wenduag (I had her as a mutation warrior but it's flooded with feats and not much else so it's boring). Bloodseeker seems almost custom-made for her (aside from the bite, but that's fine). It even fits the lore because she drank demon blood to "become strong" before the story started.
@@SlanderedGaming and I was just in a fight, she killed a guy across the battlefield with a barrage of arrows and then leaned over and killed the guy next to her with her bite. It didn’t even occur to me she would do that and it was perfect.
I skipped on the WOTR DLC because of all the bad reviews, but I'm going to give this one a shot. Also going to go back and pick up the other couple that grant you access to extra archetypes. Thanks for the breakdown!
I think time manipulator arcanist deceiver is S rank. The ability to mid combat restore all spells and abilities of your main mythic character is just insane. It solves so many mythic path issues, demon might get better as an entire path.
black blade and bloodseeker looks so cool. I want to try them, hope that owlcat at least fixed some of the performance issues on ps4, game was almost unplayable by chapter 5
Mantis Zealot is a monster. Feels awesome, looks awesome and i havent event scratched the surface yet. cant wait for the 2 sources of negative level infliction eventually since i took death. also took law for the anti chaos..... duh.
Imma wait till the first of the month for mods to get updated before i play. I cqnt play this game without toybox and respec companions from level one. Teleporting and being able to rest all/kill all is vital in case of bugs and to be able to teleport thru walls to bypass bs puzzles
might want to check in unity mod manager, some of my mods are already updated for dance of masks. Editing this because it looks like Toybox was updated yesterday for the dlc
Wouldn't the Sharpshooter basically get 3 kinetic blasts per round at higher levels, vs the regular one, with the stacking -5 decreasing chance to hit? Haven't played it yet, but I would think it would be a net positive for single-target damage as you would get 2 extra blasts per round. Basically makes them ranged rogues that don't need the enemy to be flat-footed to deal sneak damage. Curious if energy blasts still count as an energy attack on the attack roll. If so it would also mean you would be ignoring armor, which would be a significant advantage over rogues.
For what it's worth, Law and Chaos have never had any consistent meaning in any version of D&D or Pathfinder. For that matter, Good and Evil aren't as clear-cut as you might at first think. The only explanation I have ever seen of Law/Chaos that is actually consistent is that "Chaos is wet and slippery. Law is dry and crunchy. If it always lives underwater, flip this around because the water itself is chaotic." So, drinking too much dries you up so you're dry and crunchy.
Magic Deceiver: So basically those political ads every November, except I can actually sway people. Chelaxian Diva: I've said it before, I'll say it once more. OWLCAT! PUT THE ARROWSONG MINSTREL IN THIS GAME! Honestly, instead of a less sing-songy bard with crazy arrow powers, we get the dark side of Hollywood with sonic damage. No thank you. Titan Fighter: Insert favorite Attack on Titan protagonist here. Living Grimoire: Wow! An actual bible beater! *Runs from tomato barrage* Kinetic Sharpshooter: Let's face it, the only way this could've beaten Elemental Laser Incarnate is if the sharpshooter part came with an actual gun. Blade Bound: Paizo was likely sick of the Pathfinder crowd wondering why their game doesn't get a Hexblade Warlock. Drunken Master- Owlcat: The drunken master becomes stronger not through quiet contemplation, but by raiding the nearest Budweiser truck, slamming back some 12 ozs, and assuming the horse stance(without tripping in the process). You also get a cool power from a god you were born to worship. Also Owlcat: The drunken master must be lawful. Also, you can't worship that god we were talking about. Me: WTF, Owlcat?! It's like you're trying to divide by zero! Sable Company Marine: Hey, cool, now I can roleplay as Varin-oh wait, everyone hates that release trailer, nevermind. Inciter: In a modern day setting, this would likely be a typical Twitter nutjob. Bloodseeker: Hey Paizo, Astarion called, he wants to make a cameo. Mantis Zealot: I mean, it sounds cool, but I thought the Swarm-That-Walks path still needed bugfixes and balance changes, not a mascot. Oh, who am I kidding? Sawblades FTW!
is a bloodseeker/barbarian a good choice with the greater beast totem and claw attacks you can just cahrge in with pounce and claw and bite the enemies like a feral vampire
I may be wrong this coming from someone who is casual to Pathfinder. I think the kineticist new sub class turns your blast into arrow. Does that mean you can use feat for arrow. Like the one, I don't remember the name, but it fires an extra arrow on the first attack. Or the cleave shot in the mythic path. If this is true, I think that powerful sub class.
I love how you took offense that drunken master wasn't allowed to worship the best god. I felt that same way, and I thought they should've been the exception. Maybe owlcat may correct that later
This dlc looks very promising. You can make a very thematic evil party with all these new subclasses. Vampires and swarms and banshees, oh my. Time for Astarion to run this crusade darling.
Seems to me that Chelaxian Diva was designed specifically for Azata. (or even better azata into devil.) Same way Hagriven was designed specifically for Demon. Why would an azata become a devil? Because he's Chelaxian not because he's an azata. I wonder which jobs they designed to work together this time. Because prophet of pestilence, Hagriven, and Witch of Gyronna area perfect trio that play off each other.
Not got a chance to fully watch due to work, but looking at chapters I'm not sure if you noted that Dragonblood Shifter got an update to get Dragonkind 3 as well
I still need to try out dual curse Oracle, along with the new archetypes soooo I might has well murk daeran so I can get that huge EXP boost. I still haven't tried out demon path either so MC Titan fighter or MC bladebound magus is going to be next
Do you think the magic deceiver, the magic inventor one to be specific, will stack with Trickster in terms of finding items with increased enhancement bonuses?
I was so excited because i was SURE that drunken master would not be locked to lawful alignment :( my dreams of an azata monk continue to die a slow and painful death... Edit: Also, when bladebound was revealed, it was stated that the black blade would continue to fight even if the magus fell unconcious, but now in the description for independent ego it says that the black blade will disappear if the magus falls unconscious, which seems weird 🤷♀️
A legend Sable company Marine/ Provoker, have to chose witch capstone to sacrifice to Dip into Titan warrior so you can dual weald Fauchards romance Ulbrig ride one griffin during the day ride the other one at night! Owlcat has raised the bar of bear sex with griffin sex
Do you have the mod tabletop tweaks installed in your game ? Because if you do you get the original and vastly more powerful bladebound magus from the tabletop game.
Does drunken masters "booze up" ability require you to actually have alcoholic beverages in your inventory that are consumed or is it basically just a free spammable action that just requires time?
Titan fighter with 2 Gnome Hook Hammers... probably won't work like that but I can dream. Way less interested in the Arcanist now that I know it only goes to spell level 6.
There are two points that I want to make here. First, it's not just a missed opportunity to not worship Cayden Cailean as a Drunken Master. The real best part would be playing as a mythic Trickster, summoning Beer Elementals, and drinking them to restore Drunken Ki.
Second, looking at the Chelaxian Diva, I think it's a class specifically designed for Galfrey. yeah triskter, demon and azata are the most apropriate mythic paths for a drunken master.
Thats...actually a really cool idea. Queen Galfrey the undead diva? I'd drink to that. In fact, I can't help but wonder if that might be a class idea for Galfrey if she were to be corrupted by the Devil mythic path. That's essentially a betrayal of her values, at least.

oh damn, that sounds cool actually
The new infusions that add AOE and AC debuffs are also pretty nice. Feels almost like an upgraded Eldritch Archer.
Yeah he completely missed the point of the archetype
(which feint makes you)
So diva might be an acceptable melee bard, even. Or go a casting bard with Harmonic spell. If you cast a spell while a song is on, you get the performance back.
I just started game as bloodseeker and I took 2 levels of dark lurker with it, just to get finesse and blind fight.
It has been fun!
@@Julian-cn1ey Oh, I do too. I've heard people say the magic deceiver could be a class in and of itself, and I'm all for it.
On the plus side, a can of liquid death can take on a whole new meaning!
Bloodseeker definitely seems like the go to class/archetype for a lich build, very cool !.
Or in my case a trickster who behaves like Alucard from Hellsing abridged
I never watched the hellsing anime, but the castlevania anime is straight up in my top 10
@@phantomvulpe791 man this is such a awesome idea and I was just planing a trickster run
with the drunken master so since thats impossible for now im going to steal your idea
@@phantomvulpe791 Owlcat stated Alucard was the inspiration for this Archetype.
The Titan Fighter makes me wanna play WOTR... :D
Jeez, when will I have the time for that :))
Thank you for the detailed videos and for being my main source of Pathfinder content!! Awesome quality and chill vibes ;)
On what content I would like to see, your top picks for hybrids and 1-point dips for unique and cool combos.
As a spontaneous caster you'd get new spells AND get to turn everything to lightning, requiring only 1 resist bypass mythic ability.
sable company marine would be an AMAZING dip for a cavalier.
Yep, I am starting a Arcanist/Time Manipulator. I am not a big fan of Arcanist but wow, that is what I like. Cool beans.
Thanks for the video.
The king of granular wrath of the righteous breakdowns returns and knocks it out of the park. Thanks dude
Red mantis to Swarm that walk sounds super flavourful
Pretty cool group of archetypes, tbh. Not quite enough for me to start another playthrough but it will be exciting when I do get around to it.
About Magic Deceiver 2 questions:
1) Can we merge his spellbook with a lich, and if so, will we be able to use spell merges on the higher lvl spells we will gain from this (not the ones considered mythic, just the normal ones, or are all spells gained through merge considered mythic spells?)
2) Can we use magic device trickster thingy to gain Wizard spellbook and apply merges there, or we are restricted only to the arcanist spellbook?
Regardless of that, the main drawback of the class is the limitation to 6th lvl spells, but with trickster we can get additional full wizard spellbook sooo... seems pretty neat to me.
1) No, Magic Deceiver is not a full arcane caster anymore despite coming from one and it has it's own spellbook per say
2) Not sure but I don't think you can mix the wizard spellbook with the Magic Deceiver one
They really messed up with that Kineticist archetype, hopefully they can fix it up a bit.
Kinetic Sharpshooter needs extra feats and Hand Crossbows. We are "THIS" close for a GotG Starlord subclass.
I was eagerly waiting for this video.❤
Slandered, great to see you stay on point with the great videos.
Thank you!
great overview, I'm very excited for this DLC! Trying to figure out which companions I'll respec into some of these classes
Fantastic video as always, Slander! I love your class breakdowns so much!
Will we see a short video featuring a reincarnated Judge Dredd as a Living Grimoire, literally hitting fools in the head with the enormous Book of THE LAAAWWW!?
I would love to See Camellia with Black Blade it combines so much with as a sadistic spoiled lady
Sincerely the only "melee" or weapon based attack characters i like are the Telekinesis types like Sage in FFXIV or Irelia in League of Legends this is so Cool
I was shook when you gave a warpriest class an A+! Those opioids did something to you lol
After seeing it In action ( thanks mortismal) I think you might wanna rethink your opinion on the new kineticist archtype
Thank you very much for this fantastic review!
the bladebound magus being limited to scimitar for their black blade is really kinda meh. it's like they realized they were giving Magus something cool and had to find a way to ruin it.
Inspire Courage at 20: +5 att, +5 Damage, +5 vs fear and charm
Diva's Haste Song at 20: +5 attack +5 AC, +5 vs reflex saves, and an extra attack because it's haste.
Trickster titan fighter dual wielding scythes for the ultimate crit king? Yes pls
Yup that's a great combo!
The greetings everyone made me laugh idk why
😂
I bought this DLC just for the Titan Fighter archetype, looking forward to this shredder...
Hmmmm I hadn't thought about that but you have a point.
I’m very excited to have an upgraded skald finally. I think inciter is actually going to be busted with the level 12 sneak attack feat.
black blade and bloodseeker looks so cool. I want to try them, hope that owlcat at least fixed some of the performance issues on ps4, game was almost unplayable by chapter 5
Living Gtimoire wielding thier book as a mace just reminds me of the classic "bible fight" meme.
I guess its time to do a Rakdos themed Demon play through
Mantis Zealot is a monster.
Yup I agree with Dylan a lot of mods are already up to date.
im playing with toybox, tabletop tweaks, visual enhancements and respec mod, and they are all working correctly with the DLC

@@zoid_on_youtube those exact ones are what I want good looking out chief
Awesome run down. I might want to play a War priest now. Lol
I wonder if they had given any thought to updating the Lich's companions? Ciar to a Ghost Mount Cavalier, Delamere to Bloodseeker slayer, etc.
*Runs from tomato barrage*
Kinetic Sharpshooter: Let's face it, the only way this could've beaten Elemental Laser Incarnate is if the sharpshooter part came with an actual gun.
Blade Bound: Paizo was likely sick of the Pathfinder crowd wondering why their game doesn't get a Hexblade Warlock.
Drunken Master-
Owlcat: The drunken master becomes stronger not through quiet contemplation, but by raiding the nearest Budweiser truck, slamming back some 12 ozs, and assuming the horse stance(without tripping in the process).
I'll play a swarm mantis zealot soon
Yup I am thinking about doing that myself.
Now i wanna play a trickster titan fighter
😂
Im planning on multiclassing tandem executioner with sable company marine. I think its going to end up being the best coop pet build
Awesome that should be interesting!
is a bloodseeker/barbarian a good choice with the greater beast totem and claw attacks you can just cahrge in with pounce and claw and bite the enemies like a feral vampire
Sure that could definitely work.
Also, People are required to name their Bladebound Elric. This is a fact.
1lvl dip into titan fighter for STR based slayers is nuts.
I love how you took offense that drunken master wasn't allowed to worship the best god. I felt that same way, and I thought they should've been the exception. Maybe owlcat may correct that later
Yup they've already announced this will be changed. :)
If there is one thing Wrath does not need is more archetypes. It takes 2 hours to create a character as is. LoL
Most would disagree.
the man the myth the legend
Would still love if you ranked the Sorcerer and bloodrager bloodlines
Time to load up a team and set sail to test out these new archetypes.
Have they fixed blood kineticist yet? I don't want to shoot water but blood
Haven't heard anything about that class but they might have snuck in a fix.
I knew we could rely on you! 😁
I kinda want to try a Titan Fighter that dual-wields scythes... xD
Definitely going to do a titan fighter since I always go with 2h weapons anyway, can you recommend some nice weapons to use?
Wish we got a Bard with a 9th level spell book. Just sayin
Overall... a buff... for legend mythic path.
You skipped the most important part - dragon shifter is finally playable after the buffs lol.
Ok I'm curious what changed?
I mean if u blast ur int up, or it can't go below 0, then drunkenmaster could have some terrifying ac+hit.
Is it bad the most vanilla options are the most I’m excited for. BIG WEAPONS or having a hippogryph pet both sound badass
According to Reddit the new deceiver doesn’t work well with trickster. Sad it seems so so interesting
Hmmmmm why not?
@@SlanderedGaming Trickster doesn't really get any bonuses for a spellcaster, mainly. Deceiver is REALLY good with Azata, though.
Do you think the magic deceiver, the magic inventor one to be specific, will stack with Trickster in terms of finding items with increased enhancement bonuses?
Good question and I am honestly not sure.
I was so excited because i was SURE that drunken master would not be locked to lawful alignment :( my dreams of an azata monk continue to die a slow and painful death...
Edit: Also, when bladebound was revealed, it was stated that the black blade would continue to fight even if the magus fell unconcious, but now in the description for independent ego it says that the black blade will disappear if the magus falls unconscious, which seems weird 🤷♀️
defently, espacailly is it was specificaly said to not be so.
A legend Sable company Marine/ Provoker, have to chose witch capstone to sacrifice to Dip into Titan warrior so you can dual weald Fauchards romance Ulbrig ride one griffin during the day ride the other one at night! Owlcat has raised the bar of bear sex with griffin sex
what is "bladebound (TTT)"?
Do you have the mod tabletop tweaks installed in your game ? Because if you do you get the original and vastly more powerful bladebound magus from the tabletop game.
Does drunken masters "booze up" ability require you to actually have alcoholic beverages in your inventory that are consumed or is it basically just a free spammable action that just requires time?
I really want to play the newest version of the game but it breaks most mods so i cannot play it because mods add more content for me than any update.
Fact monks can't be at least true neutral is crazy to me.
Titan fighter with 2 Gnome Hook Hammers... probably won't work like that but I can dream. Way less interested in the Arcanist now that I know it only goes to spell level 6.
I think Hook Hammers are considered to be double weapons and won't work with the class.
Yeah I’m gonna make a devil blade bound
It looks great!
