    What would happen if you loose the secondary jet spacer and put back together without it? Would if overflood the carbs? Thanks for the wonderfull education....

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you likely wouldn't notice much of a different, but you would be running your bike a little lean mid throttle and up. Might be good to find a spacer to install. That's unfortunate. Great video but just curious: why loosen up and remove the fuel screw, since it wasn't holding the cover in place? I'm talking about the screw that you can to count how many turns to remove/place it back. What was the purpose of removing it

    Hi, good video.. thank you for showing.. i have a few questions about performance, after installing a jet kit with a 2 into 1 exhaust and a ebay intake(spike filter) modified to fit with different filter but same concept. It starts fine, no choke needed. When getting into the throttle it sputters and pops and loses power. Plugs are pretty black. I went down a size in the main jets and no big change. I'm thinking i have to go back to stock pilots and re adjust the PMS screws. Have you ever had motorcycle that popped and sputters from being too rich? Any thoughts from anyone would greatly help.

    Hi. First time viewer to your channel. Just wanted to say, great job on your detailed carb video. Just bought a Vstar 1100 last night and the bike definitely needs a good carb cleaning from sitting in storage for several years with bad gas in the system. Great bike overall with only 2,000 original miles, but it’s gonna need the carbs cleaned out. Do you also have any videos on how to sync the carbs?

    Hello, exelent video, I have a Yamaha Vstar
    1100 and when I reside it I pass a car on the road and when I try to pass another one lose power and don’t go more than 70km do you think is the carb issues probably something inside in dirty? I planning to clean it, already change the spark plugs

    Great video! My carbs were recently rebuilt and now I'm getting some popping on deceleration. Is this OK or will this damage the engine (I'm thinking it might be too lean)? Can the mixture be adjusted to solve this?.....Thanks!

      @godackgudalach1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm no expert but I believe you can back out that PMS screw to gain a little bit more fuel but you will probably end up having to get a size up on your main jets.

    Quick question since you are in Nebraska. I have a 2009 Vstar 1100, in Colorado. I don’t think my fuel/air screw was adjusted correctly. How many turns do you think I should use?

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to start with 2 out. Let me know how it runs at that! Depending on where at in Colorado, it might be substantially different then here! Thanks for the question.

      @@MidNebraskaMotorsports so did 1 and to it out. Bike started back firing after about a mile. Going to try two but the carb is leaking so I get to figure that out as well :-)

    Hey I did a carb rebuild and bike wasn't running good. I realized my jet needle gets hung up at the top when it's pushed up. The other carb doesn't have this issue. What are my options?

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your needle shouldn’t go up so high that it pulls of of the port is in. You might check your throttle stop on the out side of the carb. Let me know what you find. @@MidNebraskaMotorsports the issue was the silver washer thing was missing. When I took the main jet out it fell out somehow. Put it back in now all is good! Thanks for the reply!

    Great explanation. My reason for viewing is simply this; myself like many others opt to install aftermarket exhausts and the tail tell backfiring is present as warned. A seemingly simple adjustment is in order, however... I cannot find the mixture adjustment screws. Your video clearly shows the one you did, but there are 2 as there are 2 carbs. In your video, the one you adjust seems simple, straight forward. However, the other carb shows no mixture screw. Is it capped?? So to assume your first carb mixture screw's cap was already removed? Help!

    Hi i took my carb apart and cleaned it all out. I didn't replace the o rings or the gaskets. When i went to start it leaked fuel pretty bad. It has to be coming from the carb but i cant find where. Any advice?

    Not expensive? $65 ea. carb at Yamaha dealer for needle and seat. Where do you get yours? Kit for 1 carb was over $100 as well.
