Volkswagens are the only cars who have either maintained or increased the actual build quality of the cars. Although they are plastic clips, they are stronger than those on Toyotas or fords. Nicely built cars. Good video.
ha... funny you say that. this is my 5th GTI. My 2nd one came with the drivers door over extended or something, it would open past 90 degrees. how do you fix it? well you go to the body shop. new hinges and stuff are a huge pain.
is it possible to access the piece where the leather is without full removal? I want t swap out my cloth interior for a leather one but would like to avoid removal of the door card
Thanks for your videos. My 2011 GTI passenger door just got bent the wrong direction and it won't close properly. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do, any suggestions? Where do you buy your parts?
The body shop removed my door panel during the repairs, now the bottom of the door panel isn't sitting flush with the door, also the opening and closing of the door feels different too, opening there's a lot more mechanical feed back and closing it takes more force than before. Do you have any ideas on what could cause these problems and how to fix it?
+LuWeiHuang only 1 thing could happen if its not seated flat against the door. they broke some clips when removing it, which is very common. i usually broke 1-2 every time i removed the panel. and they didnt replace them. they dont snap properly after you break them.

Drill out the rivets, and get that whole plastic assembly out. The deadening is meant to be applied on the outer door skin.
no clue on that. never touched my handles. but i would expect once you get the interior panels off you can then see how the handles come off.

Yea but how you take off the outside handles. Need help.
