I can remember being there :) 100,000 people standing in the rain waiting for Tears for Fears to come on, they came on stage said Hello got settled and then sang "Everybody wants to rule the world" the clouds parted and the Sun came out :) was an amazing moment i'll never forget it ;) Won the tickets too in a Chocolate bar competion won via a wrapper, phoned the number and the question was : who sang "Rocking allover the World" i said "Status Quo" and won two free tickets, Great stuff ;)
This is such a strong, fast and rocking version! Roland is so cool with the guitar solo. What a great show starting performance in the rain to warm up the crowd. The brass sounds are like Earth Wind and Fire! This is a band at the top of their game playing with consummate ease.
watching this bought tears of a great memory, had been pouring rain, sun came out as this started playing, nordorff robins silver clef award winners concert was actually better than live aid
When first released this song sprang out of nowhere and took the world by surprise... what a mega song... wherever did the inspitration come from, it was completely unlike anything else at the time?!
Un grupo ícono de los 80's, que lamentablemente se separaron al comenzar los 90's, pero para beneplácito de todos, han vuelto a reunirse y seguir haciendo lo que mejor saben hacer: MUSICA A-1
I was working at Knebworth last week and saw several metal bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Iron Maiden. This stage that you see where Tears for Fears are playing is what is (now) called the Apollo stage. It's a good venue. For me, working there was a historic moment because I think I was first exposed to TFF's music through a CD called Live in Knebworth 1990.
Awesome I love this song because it truly speaks of the tree of life I will be in that room of light when the walls come tumbling down great song great band Tears for Fears
TFF only played 8 songs on this their last ever show until 2004 (well Curt & Roland TFF show as Roland kept the band name and toured in '93 & '95/96): Head Over Heels, Change, Pale Shelter, Sowing The Seeds Of Love/All You Need Is Love, Advice For The Young At Heart, I've Got To Sing My Song (sung by Oleta), Badman's Song and EWTRTW
Sorry for my bad english. I remember in 90 knewborth., but i was 13 years old, RAI ( italian network TV) i watching in TV, but my mother don' t like see .I remember little,... Status Quo,Page-Plant, Tears for Fears, Collins .. Pink Floyd???
i think the vocals are just great!.. live!.. One of their best EVLTRTW live versions ever! Anybody got "Change" or/and Pal Shalter?!?!.. from this concert?!?! pleaseeeee :)
@BrokenMummy theres plenty of brilliant music today, and there has been ever since the 80s, its about doing a bit of digging around to find it rather than complaning about what you hear on the radio.
Anyone remember who the second guitarist was? Not roland, the other guy. I remember watching this when it came on tv and being very impressed with him.

Fantastic! I never tire of listening to TFF.
One of the Best to come out of the UK in the 80's. Reminds me of my first year of College in 1985. Those were some of the best years of my life.

Lo mejor de Tears for Fears... insuperable
One of the best things about a live performance - you get an intensity that the studio recordings just can't capture.
