"Wunderkids" who live up to expectations are the exception, not the rule. The stars must align. Pep didn't utilize or value Cole Palmer enough. Look how long it took for the talent of N'Golo Kante to be recognized. He was already 24/25 before Leicester signed him. Mourinho is famous for not giving playing time to young talent. Martinelli is a "more complete player" than Van dijk, doesn't make him better, tho. This idea of being a "pure footballer" or "complete player" doesn't matter. You dont need to be a dribbler/technician to be a good footballer. The thing that separates football from every other sport is that there is no "footballer" archetype a player needs to be considered good, you can be 6ft5 like ibra or 5ft6 like kante and be considered good, you can be an elite dribbler like neymar and vinicius or be a poacher like lewa and haaland and still be an elite player. Going to the English leagues for development is a no go, they are great competitive leagues but it doesn’t have good reputation, so many careers are stalled some failed, why so many go for other leagues and tend to avoid the English league during development (at least the smart players)

What many people do not know, is that last season he only scored 29 goals in the league because he played 6 months with an injured knee. He went to surgery in the end of last season and now you can see the diference: 6 games in the league, 10 goals and 2 assists. League Record belongs to Hector Yazalde with 46 goals and I strongly believe that Viktor will brake it this season and help US, Sporting CP, to win 2 leagues in a row for the first time in 70 years. I've been lucky enough to watch Gyökeres play live,he's an incredible player,goals,assists, winning the ball, movements, he's the complete striker. From the start,one thing I noticed is that he rarely wastes the ball, it's either a pass,assist,goal or he gets fouled. People sleep on the Portuguese league. I believe it's improving fast

What many people do not know, is that last season he only scored 29 goals in the league because he played 6 months with an injured knee. He went to surgery in the end of last season and now you can see the diference: 6 games in the league, 10 goals and 2 assists. League Record belongs to Hector Yazalde with 46 goals and I strongly believe that Viktor will brake it this season and help US, Sporting CP, to win 2 leagues in a row for the first time in 70 years. There's nothing better in the world than be a Sporting fan. I have seen Futre, Figo, Nani, Quaresma, Cristiano Ronaldo, Peter Schmeichel and now Gyökeres playing for my Club, and that is something most of the fans around the world can only dream about. As a Swansea fan who saw this guy play for us on loan I can tell you that he was not good for us. It’s incredible how much he’s improved. It’s kid of annoying that improvement started right after he left us. When he left us he signed for Coventry where he became a championship superstar which led to his Sporting move 😭

I've been lucky enough to watch Gyökeres play live,he's an incredible player,goals,assists, winning the ball, movements, he's the complete striker. From the start,one thing I noticed is that he rarely wastes the ball, it's either a pass,assist,goal or he gets fouled. People sleep on the Portuguese league. I believe it's improving fast
