In my experience as a Canadian, there is really not a single culture in the world that does not respond well to respect, kindness, courtesy, and manners.
Wherever I’m at people mostly treat me with kindness and an open heart. But this is not because I’m 🇨🇦 or anything like that. It’s because I always see the best in people, meeting them with smiles and respect. When I’m around anybody, stranger or otherwise, my mindset is: is there any simple thing I can do to put this person at ease or add even a tiny bit of joy to this moment in their life? And of course, there is always something that comes to mind. It’s good to try to make people feel glad that they met you.
If I was a westerner in a foreign land and I found people were not treating me openly, chances are that I need to reevaluate how I’m treating them. Just saying. Thanks for your video, Ms. Earn 😊

I have noticed this over the last maybe 6 months too that TH-camrs have been naming there videos something like “ time to leave Thailand “ I think these young people think they can go over and Thailand will conform to them instead of them conforming to Thailand. They choose not to learn any culture language or anything. And if you don’t have money set aside to get back don’t go that’s common sense. With the internet you can reach across the world and make friends and learn so much before you go. Thank you for showing us what the perspective of a foreigner is to a Thai. ❤😊

I think the issues with foreign backpackers (cheap, broke & lost) and foreign tourists (overconfident, clueless & lost) is a problem every country faces. I've personally watched a few tourists attempt to pet the 'fluffy cows' (aka bison) in Yellowstone National Park - it doesn't end well. Earn, you need to start a business offering tour guide services to foreigners.

The thing is let’s be honest here if you’re going to stay in the capital cities, metro areas and or tourist popularized areas only then of course your cost of living in Thailand will be $1500 a month or higher in Phuket,Pattaya,Bangkok but if you explore more underrated areas within the country you can live off of $800/ month significantly lower. Its the same thing in any other south East Asian country it depends on the kinda lifestyle you want to have and what area.If you cannot go with a lot of modern amenities and if you want to be in close proximity to everything then yes you will pay more. But nice helpful and insightful video.

I have been traveling the world from 1971 till today 2024. From my home in New Hampshire to Europe, the UK, and all across Asia I can't imagine not having a budget in place for my trips. In the old days before the internet, we used American Express Travellers Checks, later on, Visa was good in Europe but MasterCard was better in Asia. Maybe the internet has made these visitors dumb. In my visit in March, I visited Thailand, and the Philippines, and ... I had my bank issue me $200 dollars in each home currency before I left the US. My big bills like hotels are on cards but, cash is always nice when local and required in some International Airports for entrance or departure fees. You are so cute and nice. Have a Blessed Day.

I heard from an ex colleague that for most job positions it is really difficult to get hired in Thailand, unless you speak Thai language reasonably well. It is something that many people overlook, due to the fact that the main focus is on exceptions, like foreigners who have typical remote jobs and retirees. I and many others do not belong to this group of people and this matter of fact is one of the reasons I prefer my Thai girlfriend to move over to my country instead of me moving over to Thailand. I expect my girlfriend can quite easily find a job when she has got the minimum required level of my local language, which in fact is also easier for her to learn than for me to learn Thai.

It’s not easy for a farrang to get a job in Thailand. The government restrict employment to Thai nationals. Sometimes you may be an expat working for a large multinational company that transfer you to LOS. Most common job is teaching English but the pay is not so good, perhaps they can increase their earnings via e-business or social media? Very good video. I like that Thailand invites all to come for tourism...But invites hopefully, the best foreigners to stay and even help build up the country, and not exploit it...The Thai people should and do take care to their own first...And every nation should do the same to its citizens, and I like this about the people...Thai first, then others if they are good citizens and not so many cheats , scammers, and other bad elements we hear about and read about.
They want good foriegners who respect the people and culture and the country, and are not "Bad" people and criminal types....Sometimes hard to find good people for staying there and living right. If with good heart and mind, and respect to culture no matter how different, the Thai people and government will accept you. Your mind and heart must be open to difference in culture and people or you will not make it there....
Culture is different, but mostly good, which is why many do want to live there, and leave the West, and the Thai people make the country the best...And they are right. But making and having money $$ is problem no matter where...You must know...And prepare yourself as best as you can, as in this world...Nothing is cheap, only stupidity.
    Could say more...Peace

I remember the chocolate lady in Pattaya. The Thai lady gave her a job because the chocolate lady had no money. Thai lady gave her small room to live also. Chocolate lady don't want to pay and became angry because she didn't get to live in the room for free. This lady should have been removed from the country immediately. I like to go to Thailand to enjoy every. The people, the food, the beaches. I think the Thai customs agents will begin to look for scam foreigners so they don't make good foreigners look so bad.
