    I bought my first B&W Companion 25K fifth wheel hitch for my 2012 F-350 Dually this summer and it was like night and day difference from our other hitch. I love this B&W hitch! It’s simple but it provides so much peace of mind knowing you’re kingpin is securely locked into place. Absolutely worth the money! I recommend a B&W to anyone who tows a fifth wheel.

    just installed a B&W 25k Companion in our new to us 2017 RAM 3500 Dually. Previous set up was a Reese 20k in a 2008 F350 Dually. We've used that hitch since 2006. Looking forward to trying out the B&W. Best part is it's made in the USA!!!

    I bought the F450 with the puck system and the Ford hitch, and it’s been a nightmare. Ordered my first B&W hitch for the momentum 395ms hoping it’s a big change. I do notice most people at the RV parks seem to have them. Thanks for the video.

    I have a shortbed Ram 3500. Been looking at the B&W manual slider hitch. Only thing keeping me from buying it is the weight. I do have an engine hoist I can remove it with. My old truck I had the pullrite superglide which was great but noisy. Especially as it aged. Both the pullrite superglide and the B&W manual slider weigh nearly the same. Thanks for your review and any input would be welcome.

      Mike29 I have heard the slider is heavy. An engine lift should work to lift.

    Very informative! Considering this hitch for our new Ford with the puck system. Is it difficult to get the height adjusted right for your camper? By the way - love those mountains in the background! Beautiful.

    Always used Reese but it was time for a new hitch. I went to my dealer and they recommended the BW Patriot. After a couple weeks wait I got a brand new Patriot 18k and I’m excited to see how it’s gonna preform against my Reese.

    Great video! I'm conflicted about getting this hitch. I really like that it only takes one person to remove, which I'll be doing often. However, like you I have an F350 with the short box, so concerned I may need a slider. I have some people tell me I'd be crazy not to use a slider. I plan on buying a Chaparral which advertises they are designed with short boxes in mind. Looking at various forums about 60% of the people in the same situation say it's not a problem with the short box and no slider. However, these could be the same people who say they have no problems towing a 15k rig with their 250/2500. Have you had any issues getting into tight spots? Have you had a situation where you wished you had a slider hitch?

    Thanks for the information and we have learned a lot from your video's. Like lowering our ford superduty 2" . We noticed that there was lots of distance between your bed and the 5th wheel. What is the make and model of your 5th wheel . And when the 5th wheel is not hooked up to the truck and its level what is the measurement from the overhang to the ground . I can't find a rig that's even close to 66" and that's what I have been hoping to find.

    • @JauntJunkies
      @JauntJunkies  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Terry Moline it is a 2008 Carriage Domani. I just went out and measured and I am at 64”. Thanks for watching. Glad we can help in anyway.

      @terrymoline8260 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the information and that's what we have found measuring different 5th wheels. You rig looks great like new and the distance between your bed is ausome. We found a few that were not that high but I was looking at buying (lippert correct track axle alignment system) it raises up the rig 2" and if your not over 12' 4" now you can add the system and not be over 12" 6" total legal high allowed. There is a video on Utube (how to align your trailer axles feb. 16 2019 using that system the cost of the kit is around 275.00 . we think it's a great idea if it works out with the total height. The perfect distance we are shooting for is 66" on the overhang . Airbags are also on our wish list so we can put the truck back to the perfect height when hooked up . God Bless

      Each brand has a different puck system. If your truck doesn’t have a puck system you can have the standard b&W turnover ball system and B&W makes a companion hitch that works with that. Thanks for watching.
