  • A revisit to the south site confirms the diggers have indeed moved onto the north site and the hands and knees archaeologists are on site going through the trenches documenting the history beneath the land. This is an exciting time and I cannot wait to read the report and see what was found.

    Universal is doing due diligence with testing the soil to appease everyone. Smart thing to do.

    What they are doing is digging down pass the soil that the farmers field has grown crops in until they get to the base clay, It will probably be core drilled to see the stability of the ground beneath, allowing them if they need to dig deeper to support the construction of whatever will be built , If the ground base is good no need to go to deep, if it’s bad then it will be dug out deeper and compacted with lots of granite stone (Type one 10ml or type 2 20ml or recycled crush until the ground is stable to build, What knowone has mentioned is the Two Landfill sites that straddle the site of this project that one is still operating and the other is still emitting gasses from the rubbish dumped many years ago both were the quarry’s for the brickworks that the site will be built on , I do hope this project will go ahead 👍Keep up the great vlogs 👍

    Good video. Like the screenshots to give context. When you narrate with information it’s really good.

      I’m getting more comfortable with the whole process. As Yazz once said, the only way is up!

    • @DPNCO
      @DPNCO 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Yazz also said “This is going to take a long time”. One thing I noticed on some older videos, you didn’t seem sure on what you were looking at but the footage is crystal clear… do you only have a tiny screen when you’re out recording in the “field” to see what you’re filming?

    • @ProjectUniversalUK
      @ProjectUniversalUK  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the screen is small and if it’s a bright day it makes it harder to see but I am adapting. Resistance is futile.

      That must make it pretty difficult to fly the drone too!! Keep adapting, you’re doing great. Keep throwing in the background and context narration like you have today too. Hope your cold clears up.

      Don’t forget I can see the drone to so get an extra perspective from you guys. I can always fly ok but picking out small details coming on screen sometimes gets missed.

    Never have some crusty old ditches been so riveting! I can't wait for you to be spying on the lunchboxes of theme park builders, checking out their cheese n pickle sandwiches and Petit Filous as a rollercoaster rises majestically in the background! Very exciting times.

      I’m glad you are enjoying it. There is only so much I can find to look at in a hole so hopefully they give it the thumbs up asap and bigger diggers, cranes and all that stuff start appearing on site. I’ll be here till opening day and beyond.

    With regards to why this is happening again- its always possible that the previous site survey presented questions as well as answers- a repeat survey might be an attempt to answer some of those questions

    This project was much longer down the road than anybody knew just three months ago. Universal knew about the failed plans in 1990 and 2012.
    Nothing is concrete, but I'd wager they've already spent quite a bit of money already. All of it will be revealed by next year, probably going to be shocking to see how long they've been planning this.

      Me too but I think it’s a reasonable timescale to keep the powers that be happy.

      I think Alicia (Theme Park Stop) would uncover the info quicker than lightning and run a report whether Universal are ready or not and rather than them having to then scramble to produce official response, they’d be better off controlling the info release themselves and release it asap. If it’s not Alicia, it’d be someone in local or national government, or some contractor’s secretary or something. Clearly, the predominant feeling is that the park is wanted, so everyone is so excited, so there will be leaks.
      I really hope this channel manages to keep up the excellent coverage for the journey of the park creation. Maybe the site staff will get used to the little birdie in the sky and see it as free PR and a way to keep up interest and excitement over the next 6 years.
      BTW I did signpost from Theme Park Stop comments to this channel shortly before the public consultation events, so hopefully the subscription numbers will continue to grow.
      And I did a feedback form for Universal and mentioned how good it would be to have lots of regular aerial footage of the building & development project - maybe they’ve already learnt from Velocicoaster & Epic that this kind of exposure is a good thing, not a bad thing, as long as workers’ privacy is maintained, which always is on this channel.
      It’s already bringing me a moment of happiness when I get a notification of a fresh video release. Thank you @ProjectUniversalUK 😊

    What drone do you have? I bought a DJI Mini 3 a few months ago and are terrified of using it in case t goes haywire and I lose it 😂 I need some confidence.

    • @ProjectUniversalUK
      @ProjectUniversalUK  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a few drones it’s depends on what I’m filming to what I use. Just get out then and fly, if you lose it then at least you had fun but you won’t, they are very clever.
