Idk if someone already explained it but for anyone wondering around 23:00, the reverse fool turned the 99 pennies into quarters instead of a dollar because technically a dollar gives 100 pennies. You can see that when you got deep pockets and get a dollar :)
15:10 for doing it with passives you could probably do something like this:
Changing floor ---> Clear list "A"
Changing floor (after 0.01 seconds) ---> spawn random passive item (labeled with B)
Things labeled with B (after 0.02 seconds) ---> add to list "A"
All Items (labeled with "B") --(replace)--> Smoke puff
All items (not labeled with "C") --(replace)--> Things in list "A" (add label "C")
Hope this works!
This is going to be slightly convoluted, but you should:
1. Do only passive items for this
2. Any time you roll a passive that doesn't stack, you must take that item
3. After taking the non-stacking passive, you reroll for a new item
4. Regardless of if the item stacks or not, you must take the item if it spawns
Hopefully this sounds like a fun challenge you want to try out! :)
The only big issue I see with this is that it can be hard to tell which items will or won't stack other than that yea sounds dope

@duck13x76 most are pretty self-explanatory (effects can only happen once) and the others are covered in the wiki (surprised he never referenced it in this video)
Wouldn't mind a few episodes more of this.
New challenge: Every item is the first item. The first item you find, no mattter what is, is the only item from then on. Edit: Every floor, the item then changes so it isn't boring. The item also has to be able to stack. He starts with No, and can reject an item and change it once a floor if he thinks it is useless or too op.
Throw in Glitched Crown for the first item, choice and fail potential
P.S. Add NO! or/and make it so every item is the first item Hutts picks, not finds, so he can lock in something stackable

Most items only stack up to a certain limit most stay related items don’t benefit much more past the 2nd
Imagine he finds death certificate at first. That would be fun, but boring after a short moment of time
Damn Hutts what if... We do like rainbow chest run in Gungeuon, u need to pick 1 item in 8 from all pools every floor, but that it! nothing else!

A fun variant of this might be testing various items for how well they're able to carry you through a run on their own! If you start with only blue candle, or Death's list, or candy heart, and see how far you can make it

Hutts, are you aware of the Achievement Randomizer mod? It's a really neat mod that locks every item (yes every item), pick-up and character behind different unlock conditions, like no-hitting floors and bosses (+ the normal conditions). Could be a really fun mod for a new series if you ever feel like tackling it.

I liked the video, cool concept. I hardly ever take sanguine bond but it was cool seeing how it gave you so many black hearts and some halos to help you out in the end. I'd like to see more of this challenge.
Love the per floor change. I'd say every other non-stacking item being rerolled could make it a bit more a bit more 'contenty'. That'd make it so you still have to use some of the trash items that dont stack but at least then every other floor could bring opportunity.
A dollar is 100 coins and you didn't have 100 coins. I wonder if it would drop a dollar with Deep Pockets.
I think this is equally as entertaining as the EIS challenges you post. I also think this allows for more fun combos that may have never been seen before, so I'd be happy to see more!

Another fun idea I had is the Blue baby Alabaster box Forever challenge, where you start with alabaster box as blue baby and whenever you fill one, before taking anything, you give yourself another alabaster box. its a lot like tainted lost - limited health in exchange for nice stuff. active items kinda fuck with this, so either give yourself schoolbag or start with gulping the No trinket (which is what i did).
Awesome Challenge! Regarding the active Item issue, you could just add +1 to the number rolled if it hits an active item. But i did like the idea of having to use active items to their fullest in the floors where you got them e.g. getting bookworm, or gaining more charges from duplicates.
Thanks for all the work you've been putting in. Probably spent the last 10 years with you and didn't regret a single minute I spent on your content! Though i should really really write my bachelor's thesis instead :D

Definitely do more of these, this was great. I kinda like that Monster Manual ended up being such a hero in this run, so leaving the actives on might make it more interesting. I suppose you can tweak it however you want.
At the end of the day, gotta strike a balance between what’s fun for us to watch and actually fun for you to play.

Hutts, i recommend you do this challenge, but use the ID based on the in-game clock. That way, it'll be more rewarding to take your time. (I love your long content)

would love to see more of this challenge. I suggest when the rng gives you an active item, spin again once kinda like t.lost's passive. that way it's still possible to see active items but more likley to get passive

It wouldn’t have been useful, but it’s fun, right? Also you could’ve taken all the pickups for free with the holy mantle (I forget if flight lets you go over the spikes from pound of flesh)

sugestion of modification for this challenge, you can rerow at two diferent situations
1 - you can rerow at any time (even in the midle of the floor), but only one time in the run, so, chose carefully
2 - if you already have an active item and the number chosen is an active item, you can chose to rerow or not the number JUST ONE TIME per floor to try to get a passive iten (if another active iten, well, you tried, will be the last one, no mather what iten it is)
and a special rule, if you decide to start with the "NO!" trinket, you HAVE to rerow the number any times needed to an passive item be chose at every floor, and you still can change your trinket and leave the NO! behind, but if you do, you are no more in the special rule and will no more have infinite rerows to not get active itens
I would really love to see this challenge again with only passive items! This was super fun as is!

this was really fun to watch, definitely would like to see more
as annoying as the active items were, i feel like completely taking them out of the equation would also take away a pretty big chunk of what the game has to offer, as there are some pretty banging ones
i think maybe limiting yourself to two active-item-floors max, and getting to reroll active items if yu get more then those two floors could be a nice balance, giving you a nice chance to find something cool, but also preventing you potentially not getting any items at all

Floor 1 (basement) items from 1-100 (each floor you roll a new number)
Floor 2 (Caves) items 100-200
Depths 200-300
Womb 300-400
Cathedral/Sheol - 400-500
Darkroom/Chest 500-MAX
BONUS Hush/delerium 700-MAX
I love these challenges. Maybe next time you could get an item per floor and reroll all current items to that.

One thing you could add to the challenge is the ability to reroll the item 1 - 5 times (depending on how difficult you want it to be) across the entire so that way you can avoid getting just a bunch of active items
If you did more of this challenge, I think a good way to change it is by having a quality limit if that were possible with the mod, so none of your items are above quality 3, or maybe even 2 if you want more of a challenge.

Or maybe, your limited rerolls you have for the challenge, you could ONLY use if it's an active item. So you still run the risk of an active item floor which helps makes the challenge interesting!

Awesome run! Too bad it didn't go amazingly (nice clutch). Do you think this could work well in Risk of Rain 2 with the artifact of Command item? Obviously it wouldn't be perfect with all the different tiers of items, but a lot more items in that game stack.

To get a list of only passives, get a list of the passive item ids or names in text form, there's ways to randomly select a line from a list.

I think maybe looking to see if there is a way to have a mod that does allow for item stacking may be helpful. And maybe do a subset for the challenge, where you go through all the eras of Isaac and only use items/cards/pills from that era (only items from repentance for one run, only rebirth items for another, etc.)
I feel like maybe an alteration where you keep active items in the pool for items, but only up until you get an active or something. Once you've got it, then reroll again if you get an active item. Your rules, of course, but just an idea. Fun idea though! Rough at some points lol
