Alternatively, rather than guaranteeing a pity roll after X failed rolls, have the dice add 1 to a "hidden" luck counter, or manually add a Lucky Foot to your inventory, and once Death Certificate procs, the luck counter goes back to 0, or if going the Lucky Foot route, remove all the Lucky Foot instances until you get back to the character's default value (without removing any luck obtained from other items, like Latch Key, or Luck Up pills).
Could be cool to increase luck to like 10-15 and reroll every item. If you get a death certificate, then you are only allowed to pick an item from the first room in a death certificate floor(but idk if items you see are randomly placed in there, so might not be that interesting)
@@Kro-RissaVirus If you get more than one death certificate, the room where you got your first item from is "cleared" sorta like if you have 2+ options in treasure/angel rooms yk

This gives me an idea for it! 1 room recharge, however, instead of just re-rolling to delete or Death Certificate, when the roll would give death cert, (DC for short here,) then you get auto-warped to the DC area, and the charge requirement goes up by 1 or 2, whichever seems more balanced For that floor only, using the DC die in that specific room that originally warped you to the DC room will teleport to back to the DC room with an increase in charge amount every use, 1 or 2 depending on what people think
it would be interesting if when you use the dice and it consumes the item, it gave like a .25 or .5 luck up. helps increase your odds for the next roll but doesn’t make it too easy
ok question, is there an item that severely increases luck? I know perfection does, but that's not an item. Cause, if there is, you could get that on your first death certificate, and then much higher chance to get more.
The Death Die is nothing but a gimmick, but this run made me realize it could theoretically be a fine challenge idea to do a run where you start with Rock Bottom, and every single collectible is replaced with some cards and/or pills a-la T.Cain.
Very fun to watch. Love seeing how broken just rock bottom was. Like the others said. This with the lost would be really cool. And lost is your favorite character so win win
Honestly binge eater is a great first/second option. the stats help decently while the good luck binge eater brings gives a higher luck. Maybe strategizing using death die on multiple pedestals, rolling bad stat binge eaters, blind items, shop items, etc
24:08 Sooo... I counted, and... There were 42 unsuccessful rerolls in total, if I'm not mistaken. "What are the odds?", you may ask. I counted. 11,6%, ish. Taking into consideration those 42 fails and one successful reroll the odds of Hutts having those exact reroll stats comes up at 0,58%. It was time to pay for all those years of Hutt's luck.
Glad to know that even though ive never seen you play undertale i feel like i have with the amount of undertale music you use😂 love warching your vids all these years! Hope the next vid goes this well too😁
Interesting item! If you could get "Perfection" (the trinket ya know) on maybe a tainted lost run for a video? That sounds like something interesting and powerful
the problem with this mod is that it's so feast or famine that you *have* to go for items that trivialize the game. Without going insane with dice rooms and refreshes, you only get 30-40 items on a run, which is 1.5-2 death certificates on average if you use it every time. And there are relatively few items that are so worthless they add zero utility, except things like active items when you already have one that's more useful. I think it would be more of a real item if there were some meaningful risk to using it but it had a higher probability of working. as a possible example, it could have a 10% chance of working per broken heart, but consume the item in the room and give a broken heart on use (and maybe break after it's successful twice or something?). Like yes, now you have C section but you gave up 7 items and have 3 HP on double damage floors
If don't want to trivialize the game the correct item to pick is probably something that is powerfull enough to carry by itself, that also has a lot of fun synergies, but isn't absurdly over powered or is risky to use Items like technology, ipecac, mutantspider, twisted pair or either of the fetus items
Death certificate would be amazing on the lost since he already starts with a dice that makes items vanish and perfection triples the odds to get death certificates from it.
Death Certificate-ish challenge: Every item is Error's Crazy Slots, an item from Fiend Folio. It's like a scuffed death certificate, where you can get anything you want by entering the ID of an item, but the counter moves faster over time, making it really difficult to actually aim for a specific ID. Think like frame perfect Glitched Crown. You either really get good at it and have infinite Dearts Certs, or it's mostly RNG and you keep getting useless random items :D Either way could be good for content
Maybe an interesting challenge would be this as the Lost, choosing between the 25/75 of eternal d6 or the 95/5 of death dice. Plus getting perfection would probably mean you get more than 1 certificate
If it doesn't sound overpowered, I'd like to see you do this again as the Lost. +10 luck on third floor and- might I suggest -mom's box from first death certificate for +20 luck in total
A fun idea to take you away from always going for busted runs might be make a tier 2 feel like a tier 4. So say if example your first tier 2 was midas touch, your death certicate items could be Aries, Taurus, orbitals etc, a more fun way of buffing a run without steamrolling it 🤷♂️ regardless this item seems so fun and love the videos Hutts!
Sad that you didn't proc it much, maybe do get damocles to raise the chance of getting the death certificate (also because it's fun to watch it) Also what I think there should be a pity system on is the void portal

idea: continue this series but once you take an item, it's banned from being picked up again in later episodes. prevents staleness and promotes interesting synergies.
This would probably be broken af, but here's my idea: Redo the challenge, but to incentivize you to take some bad items, you increase your luck (somehow) by the opposite of the quality of every item you take. So if you take a quality 0 item, you get +4 luck, Q1=+3, Q2=+2, Q3=+1, and Q4=nothing. Could get wacky but could be great fun.
