i imagine the killer instinct dash is probably just there so that it has SOME use and is not a dead item when you don't wanna go super saiyan, seeing as it is very risky that's how i would design an item like this anyway also it just gives you something to do if you have itchy fingers and REALLY wanna minmax your damage, which is always fun
If Samson's punches did significantly more damage he would be so much more satisfying, taking multiple hits to kill a fly takes the piss out of the character if he had a 3 hit combo where the 3rd hit was devastating he would be way more fun

You can knock enemies into walls with dash for extra damage, which helps a lot on earlier floors. Also you can dash through enemy bullets
I though it would be for bomb Flys but idk If that works
It’s more useful than you’d think. It lets you dash through enemy projectiles so you can keep punching bullet hell bosses.
