Same here I grew up a Patriots fan and I started to follow the Buccaneers after Brady left up until he retired and Rodgers was always my second favorite truly one of the best QBs to ever play and I’m lucky that I got to be at MetLife today and watch Aaron ball out in what could have been his last game ever 😢

Dylan Baker just went live in the texts and say the Jets definately need to bring Rodgers back one more year and I agree, Rodgers and Davante back for sure and I would also keep Lazard since Garett wants a trade. Draft some studs for the O line and get a good defensive coach in and the Jets could still be good next year.

Give this man his flowers. 4 time MVP only surpassed by Peyton Manning. He came back and worked his tail off from tearing his Achilles in record time and played at the highest level.
AR still has some juice left but let’s get him in some warm weather so he can really do his thing. New York hated on him for two years anyhow and never gave him proper respect or support. Jets don’t deserve him.

Jordan Love missed about 3 and a half games with injury. Also heavily relied on the run game after aquiruing Josh Jacobs.

The issue here is that people are mixing their dislike for his character with how he has performed as a player. These are two separate things. For example, Tom Brady choosing football over his family might seem selfish to some, but that’s his personal life, and it doesn’t change his impact on the game. We need to set aside our personal feelings the media portrays and opinions about how people we’ve never met live their lives.
This is about football. Aaron Rodgers’ performance as a quarterback is historic. Last year, he suffered his first-ever season-ending injury in an otherwise legendary career on a completely different team with no true leadership. Like Derrick Rose or Paul George in basketball, major injuries like that can change a player mentally and physically. But these new sensitive nfl rules and a better oline he will be fine.
If he moves Commanders would be a great fit. He likes Jayden and would be a great veteran presence, possibly Falcons as well as Vikings. Super Bowl contenders. Cowboys would be ironic 😂

WE WANT AARON BACK! 3900 yards, 28 TD, 11 INT, 90.5 passer rating. All those numbers coming back from an Achilles injury (he'll be even better next year healed completely), NO player accountability, penalties killing drives, a bad defense, 38 dropped passes, missed assignments, bad coaching and management. Aaron has always said to be professional and our team wasn't smh. We want him back!

Bring him back. The Jets still need a veteran anyway to transition to a new young QB. Renegotiate his contract along with Devante and run it one more year. It's going to be a rebuild season with all contracts off the books in 2026.
Jets aren't going anywhere next year as well, too many holes in their roster. Might as well bring Rodgers back for one final season.

Aaron Rodgers has still plenty in the tank. He is in the category of one of greatest quarterbacks in history. His record speaks for itself. No, he shouldn't throw in the towel with Jets nor they should with him. Jets had problems with coaching, problems on defense, lets not blame Aaron Rodgers for everything. If they work on some things and get this team firing on all cylinders I believe Jets can turn it around and have a really outstanding team, plenty of talent on this team for sure. Plenty of teams that may have a tough season come out next season and look totally new and different and lighting it up. I don't think its doom and gloom time, I think its , lets work on this, we got the talent, lets make a promise to ourselves and fans, we can do better and will do better, that's the attitude to have. Aaron Rodgers is carry the weight of the entire team and he shouldn't, this was a team effort and a team that didn't do as well as expected. Rodgers put up better numbers than Mahomes this year, one team is the number one seed, the other has the 7th draft pick. I’m a die hard Packers fan but became a legitimate Jets fan last season. Watched all of Hardknocks, one jets drive, and every game even without Rodgers playing. It’s night and day how the Packers franchise operates vs how the Jets are run. The Jets roster this year but with Green Bay’s staff would have been a legitimate contender. Season was over the second they fired Saleh.
Rodgers legacy as a player is greater than the entire Jets organization. He took a huge risk going there and he put his entire heart and soul into recovering for that injury and trying to get them back into the playoffs. You can say whatever you want about rodgers, but for him to get so irrationally turned on by so many fans and the owner and to still show love and gratitude to the Jets shows an immense amount of character. He’s the GOAT.

Rodgers has said hes willing to take a pay cut. Jets lost games because of the defense and the kicker.
Defense gave up the most leads in the final 3 minutes than any team in football. 5 games specifically
Kicker at the start of the season cost them 4 games.

The Jets expectations this year were unfounded and unrealistic, after that season ending injury last year! But he worked his butt off, like a wounded warrior, and gave it his all! Too bad Woody apparently doesn’t get it, and will probably just write off the $60+ Million cause it didn’t go his way on his timeline!

It was great to see Rodgers get his 500+ TD milestone. He is one of the greatest to ever do it - but it would be a mistake to bring him back. When you hold on to players for sentimental value it never ends well - especially the NFL. The reality is the JETS have 2 elite skilled players at their position (Hall and Wilson) who they should be building the offense around - but are being starved of touches because Rodgers is always locked in on his guy - Adams.
