They actually didn't knock the Hong Kong castle down,, they built upon it

As much as I LOVE the original 1955 castle, it's due to nostalgia. So I felt your pain when bracing yourself to rank it at the bottom. I agreed with all your rankings! Disney really nailed it with the Paris castle - Imagineering's finest piece de resistance! Great video, buddy.

I live in Europe so I have been to Disneyland Paris since I was a kid and of all the castles I have seen from all of the different Disney parks i have been through París castle is and will still be my favorite one

I haven’t even been to Disneyland Paris, but just through videos, photos, and my personal sense of aesthetics, their Sleeping Beauty Castle is hands down my absolute favorite. If only I could get my hands on that beautiful scale model Disney Imagineering displays every so often. Either that, or I need to make my own model. Maybe when (if) I finally get a 3D printer.

In addition to the Dragon Tavern (by the way the dragon is one of the oldest and yet most realistic animatronics in Disney Parks and it is very huge), the castle possesses a big walk through with many magical stuff and stained glasses that tell us the story of Sleeping Beauty plus a big balcony ;) (mashaAllah !!!)
Even though the castle is not as big as Cinderella's or Shanghai's, we can see size, in fact, doesn't matter at all :)

The Tokyo and Paris castle is my favourite, it look so majestic and “realistic”
Absolutely agree. I'm still not sure about the Castle of Magical Dreams only because it's busy and the styles don't quite all mesh, but I give credit to Disney for going all out and making it the tallest and most like one you'd see in a painting. 100% agree that Sleeping Beauty Castle in Paris is absolutely the best. It is both elegant and whimsical. It's the second shortest of all, but bigger isn't always better.
There's a restaurant in Cinderella castle in Florida. So you may not have a walk thru but you can have lunch or dinner in a castle.

As much as I love Disneyland, I agree with you: the first time I saw the Anaheim castle, I was really disapointed.
This is great! I have cousins in California and they're always going to the park and boasting about it, well now I can boast that I work in the Disneyland with the best castle in the whole world! 🤩 I'm also very surprised that Florida's, considered the "best theme park in all the world", isn't a walk through 😮

I was at Disneyland paris a few weeks ago. They have just repainted the whole castle so it looks like brand new. The roof tiles are actually real slate tiles from France, just painted blue. It’s not my favourite castle, that’s the one in Florida because the architecture is very accurate late medieval gothic. It’s just the hideous paint job that bothers me. 😂

Where is the Beast castle from Tokyo Disneyland? Its the first castle to be attributed to some princess not being Cindy or Aurora, and a very good replica from the film... Its my fave one
After seeing the Paris castle I feel they need to do something to the original castle in Anaheim
Agree with you exactly on the ranking. Only thing is I don't like the Pink Cinderella Castle. It doesn't work well with the colours of main street, for example the Casey's corner roof is red so that the white castle contrasts with it, but now that it is pink, it doesn't pop as much from the buildings in my opinion.
Best thing about Paris’s is the inside and landscape imo

Main Street Train Station... was always the first thing I saw going in, so it is what I think of.
I've never been to Disneyland Paris but I always thought that the castle was really cool the imagineers really went all out on this Castle I love the square shaped trees just like from Sleeping Beauty. I love the stained glass

Wow you ranked these castles spot on, that’s exactly how I would of ranked these castles. You pointed out clear reasons for your ranking that made sense and were very logical. Being the biggest castle does not make it the best. And the Disneyland Castle is way too small and although it has some nostalgia it frankly is kind of sad. I’m happy they redid the Hong Kong Disneyland’s castle it’s quite beautiful but the most beautiful hands down is the Disneyland Paris Castle which it should be since a lot fairytales came from France just like castles originated in Europe, so I would expect it to be quite special!😊👌✨
Castle Of Magical Dreams did right what Enchanted Storybook Castle couldn't:
Make a castle dedicated to all the princesses and have it look good as well

Im with you on this. The Original Disneyland is best as far as being the first one made but this is about looks lol. I also agree with you about Disneyland Paris castle being the best. I mostly like it because its built into a hillside and that looks super epic!! As well as there being a dragon in that cave too!! It def is my most sought out thing to experience if I ever make it over to Paris Disneyland.
I always hated Shanghai because as you said it’s “too much”. And you can see it in the footage you use here, it’s this mega huge structure that isn’t anchored anywhere. No trees, no buildings, just air or smog. So it ends up floating in the middle of a sea of walkways that are built to handle crowds.
I completely agree that the Disneyland Paris castle is the best! There is a dragon and everything!

Disneyland Paris probably has the best versions of various classic attractions: the Castle, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor... According to the imagineers themselves, the park is the most detailed and beautiful one. But also the smaller, and suffers a lack of developement unfortunately
Actually it’s not the smaller. Los Angeles Disney fair is the smallest park

I absolutely agree with you I really love the Disneyland Paris Castle but my favorite, has to be Cinderella castle in Florida because all the other castles have great attributes especially the Cinderella castle and Tokyo, witch has the stained-glass Windows telling the story of Cinderella. But the Cinderella castle in Florida at Disney world has something that all the other castles don't have something very magical and special and that's the Cinderella's Suite where you actually get to stay a night inside the castle and you can actually leave the room and actually wander the grounds of Magic Kingdom at anytime that you want for instance you could walk around like 2 a.m. and you get there around 6 or 7 a.m. before the parks open and then you have the time to do whatever you want and can ride the rides without any lines. That is very magical and that's why Cinderella castle in Orlando Florida Disney World is my favorite and Beats all the other castles.
You know Paris has stained glass as well, telling Aurora's story. Also Paris has a dungeon with Maleficent as the dragon

The castle in Hong Kong was opened on 20/11/2020, the highest castle in Disney Theme Parks.
Actually the highest Disney castle is enchanted storybook castle at Shanghai disneyland
totally agree!! DLRP Castle is gorgeous!!! I've been twice and it's absolutely breath taking!!! I love watching the dragon. DLRP is so underrated

You should do a video like this but instead of just castles rank every centerpiece of the park (like the tree of life in animal kingdom, spaceship earth, etc). Also compare the top e-ticket attractions in every park. Great video though!
The Paris castle is so much better in person too 😍 still my fave Disney Park.. controversial maybe but it has its own uniqueness you can't get anywhere else and is such a beautiful park overall

Been to Hongkong, California, Tokyo, Paris Disneylands, will go Shanghai this November 2023. Even the twin parks of each like California Adventure, Disney Studios in Paris and Tokyo Disney Sea. Do you think I need to see Florida to complete the rounds?
What do you think with the 50 anniversary version of magic kingdom does it look better than a couple of castles or in the same spot number 4
I think it's very cool and celebratory! But since it's not super different and it's just temporary, I'd keep it in the same spot

Edit: I’ve changed my mind, and I find the Hong Kong castle as it is looks really nice. I used to hate it because the colors of the concept art looked appalling with its rainbow colors all over the place, but the simplified tan and gold color scheme in the final result is very elegant! I take back everything I said before, and I like it quite a lot!

I would rank the new Hong Kong castle last, because it looks like such a massive eye sore with its hodgepodge of different looks. I’m surprised they haven’t extended the Anaheim Sleeping Beauty Castle somewhat, but I’m glad they didn’t bastardize it with whatever the hell that monstrosity is. Of course, we all agree the Paris castle is to die for, and is the most exquisite by far.
I would rank Shanghai’s last. It’s a big block of dull bricks. It doesn’t have the fantastical aura that the other Disney castles have.
Totally agree with #1! I sure hope I get to see it irl someday! #2... eh, looks a bit jumbled to me. I'd move up Ca Disneyland's just because of the walk through.

Disney Paris is small the same size as Disney Paris is smaller but is more elegant and whimsical. Disneyland is very magical with the atmosphere and lot of nostalgia. Magic kingdom is beautiful and impressive but is a bit outdated I still have to do the last three parks. Hong Kong has gone up with their own orginal version.

@@Disneylander My favourite castle used to be the Paris castle, but from August to February it's been jumping around between the Paris Castle and the Hong Kong castle, but after watching a few walk-around videos and tours, I think it's gone back to Paris' castle. It just looks so majestic and fairytale-y, and there's actually something to do in the castle, unlike in Hong Kong. Sure there's a meet and greet that you can't even meet characters in, but Paris has a Sleeping Beauty walkthrough and a dragon!

I think Disney World's castle looked the best before the repainting, but I now I like Tokyo's better.
*3 yrs late to the conversation, your shots of the castle at DLP to me actually make it less appealing that I originally thought it was. The fake rock work embedded into its left side, like a carbuncle, with the waterfall looks awkward & way too contrived. The mounds of plain grass around the castle, instead of interspersed with flowers/plants, look bland. As for the castle in HK, it has way too many styles of design piled onto it & the one in Shanghai is clunky & graceless. The best are the ones from 1971 (WDW) & 1983 (Tokyo).*

In my opinion I disagree with s9me of these choices but the #5 one is horrible and for my #1 I choose the Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World Orlando Florida with the royal colors for 50th anniversary

you finally crushed the outro with this one my friend, laughing at yourself is always the best way to make an exit. Have to agree with Paris at number one I mean HELLO!! there's an epic friggen dragon the castle could just be a shack and the dragon would elevate it to number one status. I kinda like the mismash feel of Hong Kong's new castle so I get its placement in this list.

I think Paris would have won even without the dragon, but the dragon really pushes it way over the edge.
And some people seem not to like miss matched nature of the new Hong Kong castle, but I think it's really fun.
I would’ve put Paris as #3, MK #2 and Tokyo #1 bcuz their castle is a walkthrough. Sorry, Paris is beautiful undoubtedly but MK and Tokyo still feel better, more majestic and beautiful to me

Tokyo castle is an unoriginal copy of Magic Kingdom’s, which is still the original and tallest version. I would put Tokyo behind Florida!
Shanghai > New HK Castle > Disneyland OG > WDW/Tokyo > Paris
