oh the triangles are actually a nice addition, and not just for the geometry dash reference, but because they make it way easier to tell where it hits and how much. i would love to see more things like this in future bouncing squares, not necessarily spikes but just some indicator of where it will hit
Maybe you could have 2 different bouncing squares in 2 different viewports so that one bouncing square is for the base of the song and the other bouncing square is for the melody of the song. You could also maybe make the black triangles pulse a different color whenever they are touched by the bouncing square to make it feel more interactive.
This is so much better than the other one, the first one I felt it was kinda the same the whole way through and didn't bounce to the rhythm as accurately, also I like the corner hit at the end. Only thing I reckon is that the cube should bounce to the primary piano at 1:36 rather than the secondary piano. This is the definition of the thing we never knew we needed.
I could see this being a game where you need to press the arrow that matches the side the cube needs to bounce off, with stuff like this level being among the hardest maps.
I was gonna say "nah that would be impossible" but now that I look at it again.. it does look like something some mad man would be able to pull off lmao
Bro finally a chance to say this !!! It actually exists !!!! It's called Rhythm Journey and it's a great game !! For the rhythm-inclined, they did a collab with adofai a while back, level RJ-X is based on it. I implore you, please check it out. The only thing it lacks is a level editor, but a while back they said they'd do it if there was popular demand, and this game is two degrees of obscure so there isn't much of a player base yet. I'm hoping if I talk about it under every bouncing square short and/or video it's going to get noticed.
This was a great improvement over your last one. I felt as though when the block was not just melody it got a little repetitive, but this was just fun to watch all throughout
I like the triangles a lot more, it's easier to tell when the square hits and how it syncs, and it also makes it more satisfying. Edit: I also like how the camera isn't locked onto the cube, and you can see the individual bounces more
