I found that it was extremely beneficial to watch alot of races, walk the pits, ask questions and hopefully find a racer that will befriend you and help with your kart. Ryan Erskine has been a huge help to me.

Correct, hold your line.. it also helps to have a competent flagman, if he shows you the flag soon enough you can creep up to give the leaders room... it also helps for newer racers to sit and watch other classes and see where the fast karts are running on the track..

As someone who's cost someone a big money race(sorry #41, still feel pretty bad about that one 😅) getting lapped sucks, but definitely try to get up and out of the way, it's a terrible feeling to mess up the outcome of a race like that. Ben is right though, once they go by try to settle in behind them and mimic what they're doing, they may have found the speed you needed and you'll learn a few things.
Looking forward to racing with you this year if or when you run AMS!
Love the videos, keep them coming!

I missed out on what was likely to be my first win because of a lapper. It was a bummer, it sucked but it was. I was that guy in my 2nd ever race, thankfully not costing KJ88 a win. The race I lost, I couldn’t be mad. I learned later to bump them or move them because they don’t always know you’re there.

When I got started I got lapped for most of the races I ran.. I did the best I could to stay out of the way of the leaders for sure.

I don't get lapped because I stick my arm out and put it on the front of there kart so they can't lap me..... I was told to stop doing it😅
