Chase Hughes literally saved my life. I was able to quit smoking and all vices that were killing me just by listening to what he said about discipline. I don’t know why he got through where no one else could. He saved my life, and I will forever be grateful.
You must teach your children discipline, I don’t mean physically disciplining them I mean teaching them self control and teaching them to be responsible. It sets them up for life. Sadly too many parents are so busy working that they don’t instil these good qualities in their kids.
I agree! I have 4 girls and one of them was born responsible - always went to bed early while the other girls stayed up as long as they could. Disciple is a virtue!!
Lost my pet, got Covid, health complications, resurfaced childhood trauma, dealing with toxic family dynamics and i discovered journaling! So agree with Chase here..its truly like a driving wheel...when life seems to go crazy, journaling helps me stay on the right lane. And yes..revisiting past records make me feel...its ok... nothing is permanent, but i am... through it all!
@ Eric Hunley; you might not be an expert but you ask the right questions; you can't be ignorant and a great interviewer at the same time.. Hat off to you, good sir! 👌
When I exercise regularly, I walk outside and go to yoga classes. I have a rule for myself. If I begin to think about whether or not I should walk or go to yoga now or another time, my rule is this: the moment that internal discussion begins, I immediately stop thinking and start walking to get dressed and go. Stop thinking, get dressed. This little rule has worked for me.
Oh totally, I can’t count the times I’ve literally said to myself (sometimes aloud😁) “Don’t think just do. Don’t think just do..” etc. To get on with whatever it is. 🤷🏻♀️ ✨
EXCELLENT, Leslie. A very simple way to get your brain out of its autopilot subconscious & into conscious thinking. I’m reflecting what I’ve learned from Thais Gibson, Personal Development School, who has a YT channel & so helpful. Thanks!

This is serious life saving stuff. He has the ability to hypnotize so no one realizes he is a psychopath. Seriously. Thank you for your service.
It's funny you say that, I wondered if my ex bf hypnotized me regularly too and I consider him a psychopath. I felt like I was in a trance from the moment I met him. I don't know if it's just the mind control techniques that psychopaths use, or if there's something else going on but I've never felt so little control over my own decisions as when I was with him. He convinced me to do things I would never normally do.

Someone who talks non stop like that fella makes me check out like that fella did. Having said that it taught me how listening has a much more appealing style or be cognitive of oneself dominating the space and time of the listener.
I didn't know about this live till it popped up in my recommendations and I'm so glad I found it.. I love the present self looking out for the future self way of looking at things. I've practiced it quite a bit in smaller ways in my life before not really thinking about it like that but more in the approach of doing things for yourself that you'll be grateful you did, later on. It boils down to the same thing but I feel like looking at everything in your life can definitely be game changing. Looking forward to diving deeper into this. Thanks Eric and Chase. Also now I'm going have to read Phrase Seven and Belgrade Archer. When you asked Chase his inspiration I was thinking, would be funny and cool if he said Dan Brown, my favorite author.. and he did.. my reading list is getting longer thanks to your guests Eric, thanks 😂😂😂
It's similar to the question, what would you say to your younger self - what wisdom have you gained that you would pass onto your younger self to make a difference to yourself in the present.
Enjoyed Chase. Thrilled to hear him praise Andrew Hubberman....to me he's the David Goggins of Neuroscience . Only recently discovered the Behavioral Panel and found this channel by searching for Chase. Great interview!
Delayed gratification is the key to success and happiness. And, the ability to delay gratification, it's a sign of intelligence. Animals do not have the ability to do it.

At age 8 we gave her a TV for her bedroom & told her it was a privilege & could be limited if it interfered with her schoolwork. We never had to put limits on her in any way. She now has her PhD in Human Factors Psych from Clemson.
👋 Eric!! Just found you, at 4a.m.!!!! I’m now obliged to stay up for the day, per Sir Chase. I’ve subscribed and look forward to a long “ screen ship” with you! You’re very interesting and gracious. Oh- I see you need a Behaviour Panel mug!!! 🥰💗❤️
Thanks for adding the show notes! Links to things discussed in the videos. Very useful, and since I asked you to add them long ago, have to say thanks now. :)
I really enjoy Vhavse on the Behavior Panel. His intelligence and goid humor shine. This is great.
So good to get to know Eric.
Someone who talks non stop like that fella makes me check out like that fella did. Having said that it taught me how listening has a much more appealing style or be cognitive of oneself dominating the space and time of the listener.
Chase, that is one of the single best things I have heard. Concern for future self...I am pretty displined, but this will help me even more.n
Nice interview. Thanks Chase
Glad you liked it!
Chase should research Dr Garry Nolan of Stanford.
Thankyou for this fantastic video.
Our pleasure!
Would LOVE for The Behavior Panel to analyze David Miscavige! Don’t know how much good footage there is.
Enjoyed Chase. Thrilled to hear him praise Andrew Hubberman....to me he's the David Goggins of Neuroscience . Only recently discovered the Behavioral Panel and found this channel by searching for Chase. Great interview!
Nice to find you guys.
Delayed gratification is the key to success and happiness. And, the ability to delay gratification, it's a sign of intelligence. Animals do not have the ability to do it.
Thanks 🎉
I hate to fan girl at 40 years old but Chase is beautiful... i blame hormones as just had my first child 🤣🤣 sorry x
no need to apologise,he is gorgeous.very sexy man.
@@kirstenhunter9124 😀😀😀
He's very handsome, I agree.
Me too!
❤️ eye candy AND brains ❤️
I completely agree... serial killers give me a stomach ache just listening to them.
Yeah, they can be rough.
This was a year ago but love it. Have to laugh about letting all criminals out if we don't have free will. California took that to heart and did.
I'm so ordering a t-shirt
Sweet!
I love the Mark pranks :) - the freeze frame is classic
