Great stuff.. foamed concrete. Lightweight & strong. Steel frame windows. Nice & tight. No leaks, no bugs, no worry about termites! No shingles to flit away in wind.. and roof and walls are also the insulation! This is how we WOULD build homes in America - except! Except the syndicate that owns the forests & uses massive amounts of timber! THAT is the monster no one sees.. and they are united with ALL of the other players that keep us living in houses made of termite food! Which also rots & needs constant maintenance. The paint industry! And the other players.. HOA's and city planners that are in the syndicate. They force much of the nation to build by their rules! Once - we were a free people. Not anymore!
that is rapidly changing with the new container homes, even sips walls now are different than the typical stick build. Look at the glass half full rather than half empty. I am going to build a container home for myself with solar panels and technology that makes water from air. No house payment, no electric bill, and no water bill. I am looking at an all electric car too that the government will let me claim on my tax return for many tax breaks. Potentially, no car payment either. I will be able to start traveling the world. I can't wait!
Wow! The foundation just poured itself! Day 1, where I come from, would have lines being drawn, holes being dug, and a foundation being poured. What you show is the easy stuff at the end.
guna pakai reinforced steels...dah lama guna di australia..sekarang makin popular di malaysia.. upper & lower beam support dgn rod steel & ada concrete lagi..
What kind of weight can the roof handle? this would be great for a cabin home in the mountains if it can handle the snow and is fire proof. What kind of heat can it stand?
This is pretty old technology and engineering principles. It's been successfully used (in variations) all over the world. The biggest problem with it is cost of the composite plastic (styro) has gone through the 'roof' beginning in '98 with new processing (Styrofoam - poly per tonne emissions are not good) regulations in most country's. A lot of comments here are pretty funny, if not a little bizarre. Reinforced with concrete and rebar, these walls are very sturdy against traditional elements. Certainly no worse than a typical wood structure. Problems arise when more than two floors are required. The advantages of the materials used are its resistance to water, especially flooding. While walls may have to be scraped of their plaster, paneling or paint, they can be resurfaced and repaired. They won't rote like wood and can be sanitized. Several homes in New York were built using these same methods and were some of the first homes repaired, quickly and efficiently after Hurricane Sandy. Asian family's prefer single floor homes and enjoy smaller homes than westerner's do. In areas where natural disasters are not a prevalent threat, this type of construction and materials used makes a lot of sense. If a catastrophic earthquake were to happen, the home maybe severely damaged beyond repair, but its occupants would probably survive. Far better to have a light weight wall fall on them then one that weighs 10 times more. If the concrete and rebar reinforcement is done correctly, its ability to withstand severe winds is favorable, if not on par with traditional wood construction methods. Vancouver, B.C., a city that has stringent earthquake building codes, has allowed this type of material for decades. But they used Styrofoam blocks like lego to build the walls with vertical rebar going through each segment a minimum of 5', staggered to the height of the wall. The Styrofoam block cavities are then filled with cement. The reason its popular there is because the blocks create an easy way to create curved walls. The use of styrofoam reduces the amount of concrete by as much as 35% while maintaining the same strength as one without. Based on what I see in this video, the amount of cement used appears to be significantly lower. This makes sense because there is no basement and is only a single floor dwelling. In my opinion, it's a well built structure and probably reduces the cost of construction significantly, has good insulating characteristics, water proof and likely has excellent noise absorbing qualities.
+Doug Hanchard Both sides of spraying cement can also prevent fire,There is 3D panel can temperature, saving construction time and the plate is not the same.
well explained. what about the fire resistance characteristics. want to know. can you also give a cost savings percentage of this system over conventional brick and concrete homes (same layout and dimensions). what about the serviceability as in the number of years? do banks fund such construction?
i have rendered thousands of these in three different country's. the poly is flame retardant and most of these are fixed over a timber frame so have a cavity or further insulation on the inside and the good quality ones will have inch thick render on outside. so no real fire danger. in new zealand this has been popular for years and yes the banks fund them. there is also a version that is block style and can be filled with concrete. money wise not usually cheaper than concrete or brick however the systems have huge differance in price depending on framework and thickness of render adding fibre mesh, acrylic renders and other things. the idea is long term savings as places like n.z have high heating cost. my personal experience is that these homes are much better in colder climates rather than hot i find the systems here in south australia are not that great at all, i notice constant high heat will cause shrinkage.
Pls can u send ur contact to princessjenniferleeus@yahoo.com We are looking building low cost housing for our Agricultural farm workers in Nigeria.I need help to make it very affordable so we can house our workers and increase productivity and effectiveness.
Might work for Arctic Aquatic Insulation. Some weight layering insulation so everything lasts??? Maybe plastic with foam core. To limit ice buildup at arctic buildings + insulate from warm water. This is valuable knowledge by the way. Martin Holmes Sudbury Canada
What is this telling us? Not much that I can see. What is this material? Also, what is left out is the time and effort used to prefabricate the pieces off site.
Jacques B. Poirier From and article in Connexion, the France's English Language Newspaper come the article, 'Houses made of wood take off, May 2008." It seems that even France is seeing the benefit of wood construction. And, there are many wooden houses still existing in the U.S. well over a hundred years old. In that time, with the advent of electrical service, modern plumbing, movement away from the farm to the city, mobility of U.S. population and a host of other reasons, the vast majority of older wood homes were abandoned and torn down. More valid questions would be, what percentage of the citizens in your country owns a home, how many square feet does your citizens have to live in and, what percentage of their income is spent on utilities and maintenance of their home as compared with the U.S. In short, I would have to consider a lot of factors before I automatically condemned wood based home construction. I would predict that your country is embracing wood built homes despite the fact that wood is probably a lot more expensive relatively than it is here. And, if you got the idea from us, when can I expect a thank you?

what is the wall material? it said ultimate green solution... well, I don't see the "green" part nor "green solution" part.. perhaps it should said "low cost" or "less energy to build" :/
its Styrofoam, i doubt it will be damaged by an earthquake. have you every vigorously shaken a styrofoam or thrown it on the ground. you would do nothing to it. a hammer through the wall I'm with you on that. surprisingly this thing can actually survive really well in the event of an earthquake. care through the walls not so much.
Ok, this might sound like a dumb question but I'm an old woman so don't make fun of me. Where I'm from all of our plumbing is under our house, if a house sets on a concrete slab, where's the plumbing pipes go? Just wondering
You will find plumbing pipes are usually pre-installed in prefabricated concrete slabs or poured slabs, this means you have to make the holes for piping. sometimes the holes will align with walls that will be placed, the walls can either come pre-drilled and pipes installed or this can be done on site.
+Anis CH (CerealHead) you build a crawl space for your plumbing. Its a ingenious way of building considering the amount of rebar and concrete thats in the wall.
no pillar and roof steel catch the corner of place..how can. its impossible... raining time..building one side drops how.. how many years wsrrenty and how much total price..
It looks like a good option to recycle styro material from all sources into something useful. More strength and burglar proof material can be addes in the form of a wire screen or net inside the panels. Not bad for a low cost, fast erecting dwelling. I would prefer this to a trailer.

Hurricanes love these kind of strictures. Zero resistance to any decent wind
I'm very interested but can this withstand frequent earthquakes and typhoons/hurricanes in Asia?
Are these strong enough? Only foam inside the blocks..
Interesting,I wonder, where to find this type of materials?cause I'm planning to build my own house.
What materials is used for the walls? It seems not heavy.
Is this as tough as conventional brick? How is thermal insulation? Resist the fire?
these homes will be great for the homeless and where there is housing shortages.x
So is this two sheets of duroc with Styrofoam in the middle?
What kind of weight can the roof handle? this would be great for a cabin home in the mountains if it can handle the snow and is fire proof. What kind of heat can it stand?
Plz let me know is the walls are really STRONG enough it won't fall or torn
Will there be any problem in this room in the water?
Foam floats. So will this house be affected one way or another by big floods?
you have built it in 8.44 mins. That is amazing.
Where is this located ? Can I have in Indonesia Jakarta ?
Is this building system available in Baton Rouge, la. ?
How stable is that structure to withstand the forces of nature?
Desde Cartagena Colombia, me puedes dar las especificaciones tecnicas de los paneles
is it safe to have electrical wire inside that?
What about internal wiring and piping fixing? would it be easy?.
