Before i bought my huawei sound joy, I'm torn between the JBL flip 6 and huawei sound joy? The deciding factor for me is the longer battery life and phone call, answer options for the huawei sound joy, but I think the quality (in my opinion) will be in the JBL, I'm a little bit disappointed in the huawei sound joy, even it has impressive volume, bass. Yes! just like what you have said, it's not for the audiophile listeners, i rather like the audio quality of the tribit stormbox, it has good bass and audiophile sound quality (the cons in tribit stormbox, 4.0 bluetooth version, micro sd charging slot and shorter battery life, even they claimed it as 20 hrs. But not in reality)
When i like at these speakers I can't help but think they look just like jbl flip speakers. They even have the same mesh and passive woofer design. Do you know how these compare to the flip?
I did not know the JBL FLIP existed until I saw your review. And that's the 6th gen already?! Indeed the JBL and Huawei have rather similar features. I do not expect the sound quality to be very different as these are Bluetooth speakers. So the main differences would 1. Availability of app. Huawei's app is only available from Huawei app store. The app is not that useful anyway. 2. Claimed 26hr battery life vs JBL's 12hr 3. Price and availability (Huawei products are not sold in USA). I don't think you can go wrong with either. I prefer the longer battery life so I don't have to charge that often. And price is important because I'm price sensitive customer. lol
For a clear sound and better clarity ,try the earfun uboom l it's tuned by oluv and the sound is raved my most for its clarity and also surround sound. It is also made to play sounds better at low volume.

By the way, in our country, the price of huawei sound joy and the JBL flip 6 is the same.. Around ₱7,000..
(₱6,999) to be exact.
