  • The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will meet the Met Police Commissioner tomorrow to discuss community relations.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
It comes after a Metropolitan police officer was filmed asking an anti-semitism campaigner to leave a pro-Palestinian protest in London, calling him 'openly jewish'.
This afternoon, new footage of that incident has emerged.
And Rishi Sunak has said he is appalled by what happened

Gideon Falter, CEO of hardline pro Israel lobby group CAA and director of JNF which raises money to acquire land for colonial settlements in Palestine - just happened to have “stumbled” across a pro-Palestinian protest in London - with his body guards and film crew in tow.

He is quite within his rights to go wherever he wants to in a democratic country. Thats a bit like saying millions of pro palastinian hamas supporters happened to invade a democracy and start making demands because they are being funded by iran and brainwashed by a book about a prophet that married a young child.

They threaten to arrest a Jew because he might upset a Muslim protest. If you can't see that is utterly wrong. And your next thought for the day is, the policeman was dead right, elements of that protest pose a direct threat of assault to that Jew. Chilling isn't it.

The copper was right that this man was seeking to antagonize- I don’t believe he would have got the scene he wanted in that crowd… but it’s time we all stop pretending that social media has not created perverse incentives for provocateurs and chancers looking to stoke tensions for their own ends. By no means are jewish Londoner’s at risk in this crowd, there were jewish participants and supporters all over the place. This man has an axe to grind and has managed to throw sand in the eyes of the met police, the politicians & the media- not the people themselves (barring right wing headbangers and sundry other villains) and that’s the bottom line.
