Hi. Nice vidéo. What's the name and brand of the fourth knife? Absolutly loving it, but i watch you from Belgium and i can't catch your speaking on that part. Thanks for the answer and my apologies for the bad english.

Nice style of knives. Great video and thanks for sharing. I love seeing these collection and best of videos. 20 minutes on one knife tends to get a bit old sometimes. Thanks.

I think that Carter looks amazing, but the vg-10 is a problem because of the price it goes for. $160 for 3 inches of vg-10 (using a Chinese OEM) is not good enough. It's taking the piss out of their customers. It's a cool design, executed extremely well, but the price doesn't match the sum of its parts.
The penã and Oser are super cool!

Nice to see the executive getting some love! I've carried one for years now and I'll always grab it over a classic or rambler. The other flashy lot are cool too!! Thanks for sharing!

Can't go wrong with a simple and effective Victorinox knife in the pocket! Thanks for watching!

I'm a fan of smaller knives as well. It's way too hard to find good videos about them. Everyone these days wants some big, hulking knife in their pocket. Not me. You also have great, if expensive, taste, LOL.

Apparently you enjoy pretty small knives. They are all nice, but my my preference is for 3.25 - 3.5 inch blades. About the smallest thing I carry is the Bugout.

VG10 is perfectly serviceable steel. Steel dweebs are annoying.

hondasaki900 :- Steel snobs get boring real quick. They forget that a folding knife is already "broken" and just how special of a steel do they need and need to pay for to cut paper & cheese.

Uhm. Most steels are “serviceable”. Perfectly serviceable is an odd concept. I like VG10 but if you suck at sharpening like I do, maybe a different steel is worth it.

I don't like the Carter, and part of it is the steel. To be clear, I don't have a problem with VG10... I have a problem with VG10 at $160. VG10 at the $50-90 price point that literally every other manufacturer has is fine. It's not at double that price. My main problem with the Carter, and really all of the knives from The James Brand, is that it's style over function and also over quality. I've never owned one, but I have held a few, and heard feedback from people that actually use knives for work. I haven't seen one without blade play or centering issues. The people I trust that use knives say the knives aren't workers, and that customer service is nonexistent when you have problems... again no firsthand experience using the knife or dealing with customer support, just what I've heard. The James Brand has great designs but they seem shoddy and are unquestionably overpriced.
As for your other choices, like most people I love most everything Reeves puts out. Now that Pena has that knife as a production run, albeit limited, that knife has been on my list since the first batch was released. A Victorinox is always a great choice as a second knife, and the smaller ones fit in the watch pocket of your pants completely out of the way. I prefer the Cadet, but respect the choice.
