Agreed. people mad at these couple funny colorways of knives that already exist and have 50 versions already. I got the donut civivi elementum for my gf because she doesnt feel comfortable carrying a knife but it was cute enough that she wasn't scared of it. now she just sits at her computer flicking it open all day, and when she goes out it's become part of her EDC.
My son collects the Boker Kalash knives. He started out with the one with the bright neon green blade, then got the neon blue. Then it was every oddball one they’ve come out with since. He got the Wiener Warrior as his 21st birthday present. The ones he’s got are just plain fun, goofy and quirky. Knives don’t always have to be about serious stuff. They don’t always have to be the latest and greatest tacticool knife. Sometimes you need fun for the sake of fun.
Good for you for supporting your son with his boker collection. My pops makes fun of me every time he asks for my knife and I hand him a dessert warrior😂 but hey I love them and they are reasonable cheep to collect compared to most other knives.
@@Shogunslossy That’s awesome!! 😂 The cost is what I find appealing and my son just likes the crazy colors and blade shapes. Of course I like the crazy colors too, but I’ve got a Kalash in CTS-XHP that I love a lot. Plus, I’m always fearful of messing up the paint on the really fun ones. But I get more entertainment from getting my son knives for his Kalash Kollection. He’s got a regular Kalash he carries and just looks at the others and grins. Though he will carry one of the others just to change things up now and then.
@@FriedPi-mc5yt that’s exactly what I do with them. I carry a CR Umnumzaan daily and when I switch it up occasionally to a boker, it makes me appreciate the Zaan more when it’s back in my pocket! 🫡🙏
@@Shogunslossy My usual daily is a Cold Steel Voyager XL. I work in the construction trades and need a knife I can cut a notch in a 2X4 with if I have to. Or to punch a hole in some drywall. I usually only carry other knives on my days off. Chris Reeve makes some outstanding knives. I would really like a standard Sebenza one day. But I’m mostly happy with the ones I’ve got and I’m more entertained by my son’s growing collection of odd Bokers.
Now if Boker will make this in an XXL version and call it the “footlong”. I’ll buy it in a heartbeat as well. Hilarious because the comedy potential is through the roof!!!!
If you worked a Weinerschnitzel like I did and you got an email from blade HQ saying that you could buy a hotdog knife you don't have a choice and have to buy one! I did anyway and actually love it but I work in a kitchen and people ask me for a knife sometimes this is perfect for that situation
Very solid points. These knives show just how light hearted edc can be. I’ve seen several posts where people have a whole edc collection of donut stuff and it’s so awesome because it makes them happy. I think the Wiener Warrior is hilarious. Also, I need to get it for the price point alone. $69. Nice 👌🏻
I got a Mini one with a Clip Point blade in all black in AUS-8, a mini Desert Warrior with the Spear Point blade in D2, and a normal sized Dessert Warrior Remix, and I love them all!
Interesting background story on these! Totally agree, they are fun an opportunity to start w conversation. I don’t (and likely won’t) own anything like these but I’m glad they’re around for the folks who dig collecting them!
I am always a fan of letting people be themselves. And if it makes them happy to own a hotdog knife hell yeah buy a hotdog knife. My collecting and acquiring things for EDC has plummeted and I'm focused on getting high end pieces far less frequently and that's what makes me happy. And some people think that's dumb. So to each their own!
Definitely agree. I personally wouldn’t buy any of these, but I still like them 😅 Glad these are around, because I like watching people posting pics of these and even carrying them. How boring would the world be if we carry all the same stuff.
I bought a We Knife Dessert Warrior and a Civivi Dessert Warrior and love them both. Different Strokes for Different Folks. I have also bought top of the line Protech, Microtech, Benchmade, and countless other excellent knives. These novelty knives are fun to own, and make me smile, and make fun gifts for friends.
Great video. Agree 100%. There are those that are into EDC purely for the utility. Carry only what you use and use what you carry. Then there are those that are into EDC for the hobby. Collect and even color match gear. Similar to bag nerds, sneaker heads, or the like. Sadly the utilitarian group hates that the hobbyists are getting involved. It happens in every community, though. But the more people that get involved, the more cool shit we get to see - on both sides of the spectrum.
This is a really good take on the Dessert Warrior/Weiner Warrior variants. Definitely going a long way to minimize the stigma that a knife is inherently 'scary or dangerous'. Keep up the great product and content work Tom!
nice, i don't like the hot dog knife, but agree like the mermaid it's a fun way to include people who wouldn't be into knives perhaps..... thanks for the video..
I agree with a ton of the stuff your saying here. This is a hobby and people love having goofy stuff in their collections. For me, as a chef, I'm planning on getting this as a fun item to have at work. Will it see the pocket everyday? Nope. Will I show it off at work or when I'm grilling at home with my friends? Absolutely.
Hell yah, stoked to have some Notorious EDC pop up on my TH-cam feed again. This hobby is supposed to be fun, I’m all for it. Congratulations again on the new duds Tom 🤘
I made the nearly the same video several months back and had the same perspective. Couldn’t agree with you more on every point you made. Well done and we’ll said! Good stuff brother 👊🏻
I love them! I’m personally not going to spend my limited cash resources on them, but I love the creativeness and ingenuity that goes into making these products. It allows you to be unique and it’s great to have options out there.
Glad to see some content Tom! I don’t mind the “silly” knives. I have a few of the Dessert warrior knives and would like to add the 🌭 as well. They’re fun imo!
You nailed this video all the way. These are fun, regardless of the butthurt they cause. I’d say more fun because of that. I have a ton of the Dessert Warrior stuff strictly for the fun factor. These most likely got thousands of non knife people into knives and EDC in general. I don’t carry my donut stuff, but I’m somewhat of a collector of multiple things. When I first saw these, I was a fan of the silliness. I’d even buy a Dessert Warrior Big Poppa if it was ever a thing.
Great video Tom thanks for sharing. I love the Dessert Warrior theme! I have my collection of sprinkle donut gear & it does make me happy! I don't think I like the hotdog either, but it's really fun too. Thanks again & take care! 😸👊🏻💥💥💥👍🏻
Call it a cash grab and you clearly don’t understand business. You’d be dumb to hav customers banging down your door and not make what they are willing to purchase. Great video. I’ll continue to buy what makes me happy, including a beer bomb at next drop 😂🙌🏻

Good take! Unfortunately I live in CA so can't get to og auto versions, but the Elementum is def in my edc rotation and it does reduce the worry of onlookers when I pull it (usually just to open boxes or mail).
Great take. Calling something a "cash grab" for a business is weird. It's a business. People spend their money on things they want. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I got the donut Elementum because I thought it was funny. I believe the Weiner Warrior is funny, too, but I don't plan to buy one. It's existence hasn't ruined my day either, haha.
I wouldn't spend my personal money on the Weiner knife but I'm not hating on it either. I'm sure it's a great conversation piece at a party and is good for a laugh. And you make a good point about the color/design on a knife can make it less intimidating. I may have to make a donut or weiner AR build? 👀
I agree they are fun, but not my style. I would never own one personally, but I could see myself or others grabbing it as a gag gift or something. Great Video, man!
I do like the donut themed ones. Not a fan of the hot dog knife. I don’t get mad about knives that I don’t care for. It just means it is not for me. It may be for others and that’s ok
So while this seems like a silly idea, you take and expand on the importance of individual expression, the softer side of edc, and how to appeal to people interested but may be afraid to see what exactly the community is and is about. Taking the time to talk about this kinda stuff goes a long way. People are scared of what they don’t understand. Thank you for setting the example for others to follow.
