Spurrier’s Hellblazer was so good. I was shocked when it was cancelled while DC is publishing so much uninteresting material
Im glad they were able to wrap up the story well.
It was only cancelled due to poor sales unfortunately
It was an amazing run, it was so popular at my LCS that it was outselling Batman
Just got finished reading these 2 trades and I'm absolutely gobsmacked at how good they are and the depression that follows knowing he did no more.
Best Hellblazer I've ever read.
It was just so damn good! If DC cared about characters other than Batman and Harley Quinn this might have gotten a fair shake. I had this one bound too. The rest of the Sandman Universe titles will have to wait until the future of H&R is more clear.
@doesitmatter itdoesntmatter Yes. There is a mini-series after that isn't connected but this is the most recent Hellblazer.
Love how it’s binded with the actual comics that’s a cool idea. I need to get into it. Hard to fit that into my schedule but hear nothing but great things from Spurriers run. There’s actually a petition on Reddit to bring it back 👌
I have almost everything Sandman and Sandman universe related i enjoyed this series.
Hey, Mike! I love the character, Constantine. I have all of the Hellblazer OGNs & a few trades- all awesome! I just got the new(ish) Black Label OGN "Hellblazer: Rise and Fall," written by Tom Taylor, w/art by Darrick Robertson. The story sounds like a blast, & I love Robertson's art. This run you're talking about sounds intriguing! One of my favorite Constantine stories is an OGN that was published under DC's fairly short-lived Vertigo Crime label. And it isn't even titled as "Hellblazer," or even "Constantine." The book is just called "Dark Entries," & it is a phenomenal horror story w/John & a cast of interesting characters at the center of it! I highly, highly recommend it! But, this series looks cool, & the bind looks fantastic! Thanx for another enjoyable video, brother! U guys & ur families stay safe!😊👍🏻👍🏻❤
I’m two years late to commenting on this. But this is one of my favorite runs ever, so I’d be excited to see you make a follow up video to announce this run is returning in January 2024 with Hellblazer Dead in America 1.
Hahahaha im literally reading this now because of you and loving every second of it....definetly on my to bind list now!!!🤘🏻
This and Lucifer were my favorite of the 2018 Sandman Universe titles. Wish Spurrier could have gone on writing on it.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out!
This sounds like a good read, need to check it out!
I came across Constantine when I used to read Swamp Thing. A brilliant character.
Looks like a very good book but the amount of ads on DC titles is just ridiculous.
I own about 65% of Constantine's distinct runs and since the New 52, he has had a bad luck with writers who do not know how to guide his stories well. I mean since the New 52 he has had 4 volumes and a 1 mini series of 3 issues. The 4 volumes have not exceeded 25 issues, which compared to his Vertigo run is a damn shame.
You need to adjust to the new normal that you won't ever see any comic runs by the Big 2 reaching a hundred issues, that shit is over. Not because they want it, but because the buying public is so few and so easily bored, they keep re-satarting it or keep changing writers to soike up interest. Most comic runs will at the most be a dozen or two issues.
I have the first 3. It's amazing
It has just been issued in my country but I didn't know if I should pick it up. I heard Ennis's run was great, but nothing about this one.
DC did Si dirty when they canceled this.
Damn that's an expensive book to still have ad pages in it
Nothing can be better than run by Ennis
It weird i can’t not find that book nowhere, with all the set together in one !!!! Where did you fine that masterpiece?
It is a custom book I had made using the single issues!
Do you think we will get another hellblazer omnibus
Could you read this if you never read hellblazer before and understand it?
You absolutely could! Knowing who John is adds layers to the story, but does not make or break the story for new readers, and I think this run would make you want to go back and check out the original series
@@TheHardcoverComic Good to know. I;ve been looking for good entry point into Constantine so this might fit the bill perfectly.
What's the most amount of issues you've bound in a customer hardcover? Most sites say about 2in, but most of yours are about a inch or less
I’d say the most I’ve bound in a volume is around 30 issues! My XO Manowar and Justice League Dark custom binds are juicy, and around that issue count. I try to keep my binds smaller so that they’re easier to read
Omg the ads
