I am Mexican and have lived in Los Angeles, California since 1973. I have this beautiful piece of music recorded on an audio cassette that I recorded from a radio station in 1977, and today using Shazam (a program that, by playing the music on my speaker, finds the title of the song and now I am listening to it. listening in spectacular stereophonic sound. Magnificent work.
Very touching interpretation by Gallois. Equally touching is the version by Rampal, his mentor. They compare favourably to either Pahud or Galway... Among the pianists on the same piece, Mark Hambourg and Rachmaninoff had left two celestial version, followed by Guiomar Novaes. In violin versions, Heifetz is superb and in cello, Feuerman is perfect...
I wonder how this would sound with the Maestro,s new wood flute with square tone holes? The orchestra is superbly controlling the volume to blend with the flute.

Why isn't his name mentioned in the description? The flutist performing is Patrick Gallois. I like James Galway's version also.
It's under description click down.
I saw this on a "LD" when I was a kid. Not sure if it is made into DVD.
Zo mooi
I hate to admit to this but Gallois play the flute better than me 😭
Who is this? Is this Jacques Zoon? I’ve never known him to play a metal flute.
Never mind, it says in the title. Hahaha
