Beautifully played but poorly recorded... the microphone for the flute is much too far away from where the sound is being produced, so it doesn't do the performer any justice. Pity
I think the Recording is fine. Its a duo not flute with piano accomp. so both have to be heard equally. The piano is gentle and the flute is simply magic. I‘ve just heard a version Cello and Harp, and it gave me a rather sad, grief feeling, but flute and piano (or harp) would - like this very version - show a complete range of beauty; a hint of sadness but also enlightement… comparing the two versions I definitely prefer flute 🥰

Superb. I’m practising this for my G6 flute exam, it’s certainly a good piece for strengthening breathing and lungs. Very haunting piece of music.

There is nothing with the position of the microphone. Remember the flute has the high pitch here🤷🏽♂️
