    Thanks again Dave for putting this tutorial together…The power of these subtle adjustments when applied collectively produces a superb final product…There’s never not a TK Friday that you don’t provide valuable “take-always and insight”…Have a great weekend!

    Sometimes for a Free Hand Vignette I get the selection of the subject from the Mask Calulator then click TK Free Hand Vignette.

    That was a wonderful edit Dave. Sometimes I forget the other features on my panel and you just reminded me how to use them effectively. Great stuff man!

    Well done Dave. I really like your use of the Color Clone TK Action here. It's quite effective, and in my view, a simpler and faster procedure compared to applying Frequency Separation instead.

    Very informative as always Dave , out of interest what is the main advantage of using the blend if masks at the beginning to work on the background and subject as opposed to just using the colour balance wheel on separate background and subject layers ?

      Thank you. By using the the Blend If zones you get more precise adjustments on the various zonal ranges.

    Thanks Dave for this awesome tutorial. I really enjoyed it, especially when you use various tools from the TK9 plugin. I have a question and I want your help. What is the difference between using the multi-mask calculator and the "my channel" option?

    • @thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly
      @thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You're welcome. Concerning the different calculators in TK9: When you want to work with Masks that you generate from the Multi-Mask Panel I find the My Channels and Multi-Mask Calculator are the way to go. For doing things like working with selections you make on the fly and channels that you have saved in Channels the Layer Mask calculator is the the way to go. I love them both and they are both very useful.

    Another great video. Did you use the Denoise feature in LR at the beginning?

    Hi Dave. Love this edit! A suggestion and question for you. I'd also remove that vertical grass that is going up the lion to where it meets the shoulder height. Also, I've been trying out Lightroom and as it uses the Pro Photo colour space, when you open an image from Lightroom do you keep that colour space in Photoshop or use Adobe RGB? Thank you.

    • @thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly
      @thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you. In my original edit I did remove that grass and you are right about removing it. I didn't have enough time in the video edit to remove all of the things I wanted to remove. I do send my images from Lightroom to Photoshop in the Adobe RGB Color space. You can change Lightroom to output in Adobe RGB by going to your Lightroom Preferences/External Editing/Color Space and switch to Adobe RGB if you like.

      @@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly Thanks Dave. I'm using Lightroom desktop/cloud version so that feature doesn't seem available, so I'm using ProPhoto in Photoshop.

    Another great edit. In the top left corner, a patch of grass is very dark and my eye keeps moving toward it. Consider lightening it?

    I noticed that you did the clean up last, I'm used to doing it first: is there a reason?

    • @thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly
      @thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think either way is fine. For this image I wanted to dive right into the edit, so I saved the cleanup for last.
