So your not aloud to fly over the site according to there own rules, where they dont allow drones. Unless of coarse you cough up £60, bit like Khan's ULEZ law in London. Where they are perfectly happy for people to get poisoned with exhaust fumes from older vehicles, as long as you pay the £12.50 a day to drive in the ULEZ zone lol. It's all a joke, they dont mind breaking there own rules as long as they are getting financial gains.

I can help here, as I’m a qualified DPO. If he wasn’t a Police officer, you’d be right - the airport would be in breach of GDPR if they shared it. However, there’s a general exemption for the Police, so they could call and demand the details, and the airport wouldn’t be breaking GDPR by sharing it. That said, you can use GDPR to help here - give it a week or so and then put in a DSAR to Oxford airport, and ask them who your data has been shared with, and when. If PC Arsehole has called back and got them, he’s abusing his position and deserves at the least a reprimand.

What you're looking for here is that they can only ask for the Operator ID if they suspect you of a crime or you have actually committed one. They can't have it as those two reasons are not valid.
He wants your details in case you commit a crime. That's not legal to ask for your details because you MIGHT commit a crime.
If you were to commit a crime then he'd have every legal right to get your details then. Getting them before is just illegal.

Copper was mis-using his powers there by claiming he would gather your personal details. He can only handle your personal data under GPDR when he has a business need to use your personal data.
If he suspects you to have potentially committed an offence, he is within his rights to gather the data to help with his investigation. As he had no suspicion in respect to any offence that may have been committed, he has no right or expectation to expect you to provide the information.
    Terrible mis-use of powers there.
