- A great approach and landing with nearly the whole city being visible.
You can see London City Airport and the Millenium Dome right before
the interception of the localizer for 27R
Cockpit/Nose View - Boeing 737-500
Enjoy!!
NOTE: TH-cam made the thumbnail look like this, not I!
All of YOU pilots are SUPER COOL!! I think YOU have the BEST JOB on Earth. LUCKY YOU
Take it from me. Those that fly from Bristol (UK) and heading to Amsterdam get the best view of London. It passes directly above and follows the Thames river in a straight line and you can see the entire city at once without losing visibility of the horizon by having to land in London. Any other routes don't get to see this full angled view like that.
Porto to Stansted similarly \m/
I love these night landing cockpit videos.
Beautiful, nice to see what the view is like “ looking back” at those of us who always look up to see what’s flying over.
Incredible how the pilots find the Airport among all those lights ---simply amazing
Their instruments tell them where it is
Very nice video and great landing. Always a pleasure to watch cockpit videos. Good job!
Mal wieder eine geniale Aufnahme!
London sieht bei Nacht ja echt klasse aus.
The world looks at peace from the sky - and then you land...

These German pilots are delivering cargo or passengers. Last time they delivered bombs to London was more than 70 years ago.
After that criminal Treaty of Versailles, I'd say that the Frogs and Limeys had it coming, regardless of who ruled in Germany at the time.
You sick sh*t
Beautiful views and perfect landing. These pilots are so skilled. When I’m in London, I spend half my time looking up at the aeroplanes going over. I love them. Well done and thank you for sharing. 👍😃
Well done Mate.................Nice Landing.....................Now lets have some Fish & Chips and a Beer Mate....You Buy !
excellent piloting smooth wonderful landing if everyone could fly planes like you guys

I was lucky enough to do that approach on a nice night in an BA A319 from Nice. Very impressive. I love flying into cities at night. I just enjoyed that night.
London! The greatest city on Earth!
Lovely clear unobstructed view, no instruments, no people, just the ground.
Now that! That was some smooth flying if ever I saw! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Ahhh I miss London so much! Heading back there December.
Makes me want to book a holiday🌞🍻🍻
WooooW amazing video mate!! you're so lucky!!! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video!! Well done and a huge like!!
Excellent camera view, take off surprisingly fast at seems like lower speed than I thought it usually is
wow great video mate love to see this night view thanks for sharing
Very smooth landing
Nice landing! thanks for the share,,,,
Thank you for your wonderful videos!
und wieder ein super approach! thx for posting ;))
Perfect landing ________✈👍
Loved [pcking out the landmarks as closing in: Albert Bridge, Richmond Park, M4, A4/Bath Road....
It’s amazing that a plane has never gone down in central London.. all those millions of flights over the years and not one crash.!
one day it will happen then everyone will ask why it was allowed.
Yet......
Only a matter of time though ........ it's not a case of 'if', but 'when'. Would do a shit-load of damage over a wide area if it did happen ........ just look at Lockerbie.
its amazing that one can get into an airplane and in a few hrs be across the pond,,, crazy
Friking Awesome!!
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooow I love these cockpit view videos.. :-))))
Love this perspective! Great video, thanks so much 😀😀😀😀😀
Haha, some of the most visible things are the green rectangles of football pitches. The first ever time I flew, I thought one was a green light in somebody's window, until the scale of everything abruptly hit me.
you fly for a airline?
Excellent video, thanks.
Night flights make for the best videos.
Nice London!!
Beautiful view, great video.
Great video!!
that was really fascinating ..!
That was freaking awesome!!!!!!!
Nice landing
Loved it.
This should be sped up a bit and have _London Calling_ dubbed over it. It would make a good counterpart to the famous KLAX Sadde6 approach video.
brilliant idea! I love the LAX video! But there will be an issue with the music, since youtube partners are not allowed to use other contents and I could get blocked in some countries. I will definitely make more timelapse approach videos soon, there are already a few on my channel, have a look if you like :)
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. makes me want to go flying as I love night flying. Dumb question but I couldn't seem to make out the airport beacon on approach.
thank you very much! I'm not quite sure what you mean with airport beacon, the lights around the tower?
***** I was referring to the rotating beacon(green-white). Maybe I've been on the ground to long. I do appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Whaha :p I'm ver happy to hear that there are more video's coming soon!! :)
AWESOME CAMERWORK !!
Great smooth piloting , but take into account there were no cross winds .
Smooooth :-) Lovely to see, thanxalot for sharing :-)
Just makes it look easy!
beautiful video :)
Spectacular!
I LOVE NIGHT FLYING!
WONDERFULL.
I have a high school classmate of mine who has flown from New York to London for United Airlines for over 15 years. He told me one night at a party he could land at Heathrow blindfolded because he's flown that route so many times.
+austin teutsch LOL Austin easy to fligh blindfolded auto pilot does all the work,of course you need eyes to programme course and press appropriate buttons and engage ILS, you only need eyes just before and after touch down.
Beautiful.
so much skill to land a 737.
Looks like Fulham were playing at home that night
Bright object at 4:30 is Fulham football club.
London from the air at night is a wonderful sight isn't it?
I once saw tower bridge from a flight, and it was raised!
London looks totally different when you’re flying over it at night. In fact, to me, it looks a little like you’re flying over L.A.!
Nice view
Played the music: Moby - God moving of the face of the waters (from Heat) while watching this. I was transported.
Thank you!
Eine nette Unterhaltung und ne sanfte Landung - was will man mehr? :D
I loved it!
Christine was probably a navy pilot. She has great flying skill.
Thats amazing
A M A Z I N G!

huge London area..
Espectacular, thanks!
excellent.
Why there was no minimum callout ?
that was cool
awesome.
Can I ask what height you were doing when you were flying over London City Airport? Thanks!
Good job how much mony do u take dor that
On every landing I make, I marvel at how slowly the plane seems to move.
とても感動しました。
I am very touched.(in Japanese)
Jolly Good!
can you tell me what camera you used for this? Please and thanks.
Does anyone know what the really bright rectangle is in the centre at 4:16
Fulham Football Club stadium - Craven Cottage
Nice landing what is the name from the airliner?
This is a silly question to ask, but is English the primary language in all major air traffic towers? Because I know I've heard pilots flying German, Chinese, etc. planes in the U.S. of course everybody is speaking English. But if my AA plane went over to Germany, do they send German speaking pilots or is the tower speaking English? Just curious.
I think so, yes. Only on smaller airfields they might talk in their own languages, but on international airports, english is the language!
There are a few controllers that talk other languages, but only with pilots who speak the same of course, often happening in france.. At least, every controller and pilot should be able to talk in english..
BTW check out "Air China 981" on youtube, that's why it's important to speak english haha
Yes, English is the 'lingua franca' of aviation.
English is the required language for commercial aviation.
In 2 weeks I will fly with WizzAir night time and I am so scared, idk why. Can someone tell me what to do during the flight? It will take about 3:20 hours... Londra-Romania
Thank you!
Ok, nice, but which airport is the plane landing onto? Is it London City Airport?
Die Piloten sprechen deutsch miteinander. 🤣 😁😁😁 erst im Video gehört ist ein Lufthansa Flug
Must be me, but I can't work this out! If the Millenium Dome is at the bottom right at approx 1.44, then the aircraft appears to be flying in a southerly direction (the dome being on the 'south' side of the Thames, on the Greenwich peninsula). The aircraft does a couple of right hand turns and then is aligned with runway 27? How does that happen? Sorry if I'm being incredibly thick!!
As you say, the aircraft is heading S. It is then assigned a heading of 245 degrees (right turn) as the intercept heading for the 27R localiser So there is a second right turn as the localiser is captured. It might help to bear in mind that the aircraft is to the NE of LHR when given its heading of 245 degrees to intercept the localiser. So two right turns are what you would expect from that starting position.
Possibly a sill question, but what does it mean when it says 'minimum(s)' ? I'm not sure if it actually says it in this video, but I always wonder ha ha, thank you.
it's the point where you have to decide if you continue the approach or abort it. Depending on the weather :)
***** aww really, makes sense ha. Thanks man, I'll be sure to come to you with my many other questions :)). BTW, great videos!!
Adam Rae thank you very much ;) Merry Christmas to you!
***** Merry Christmas! :)
Not a silly question at all! To explain it in a simplified way: the pilot programs the minimum altitude at which he has to decide if a landing is possible. When he reaches this altitude the GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning System) generates the aural warning "minimum" (or "minimums", I'm not quite sure). I hope this helps.
i love it!!!! :D
Like it how they laughing and joking about stuff, and trying to land the plane at the same time.
I noted that too. It's usually quite a "sterile" cockpit during landing as everything needs full attention.
Looks like Lambourne arrival.
at 4 mintes 44 secos you can see Brentford FC grond wiv the flod lites on. We woz there when this jet flown over I reconize the engines. Then we went to Nandos.
What language is this?
@@steverosengren1492 German
Was this X-plane 11 or FS2020?? :)
