Him John Bonham, Keith Moon, Ringo Starr are by far some of the top 10 drummers of this time, of course J. Bonham RIP. I've watched countless performers and drummers and showmanship plays a great deal in ones success. The facts are showmanship will caught the eye of the viewers, like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and so on. I don't know if you've ever seen a live performance, I'm thinking you probably have. But if you've ever seen someone playing a guitar, singing and that's all, well they're not near as enjoyable as someone on the stage who is hoping, or down on one leg, his other straight out in front of him with his guitar playing as he's going across the stage. That's a show with entertainment.
His precision with what he does mixed with his showmanship truly puts him in a class by himself! He's one hell of a drummer!! Just simply fun to watch because you never know what he's going to do next!

Love drummers. Love My Mad Steve. I've watched this particular vid closing in on at least 100 times. When you can do that to me, then you are in an elite small group. I will always watch this. TY Steve for your most unique brand of skill and showmanship!!

He may not be as technical as others out there, but there's emotion for sure. Thomas Lang is a drum machine engineered into a human shape. Watching him is very sterile. Don't get me wrong, he is just plain insanely good, but perfect. Too perfect if you will. The thing that astonishes me most about this guy is how he's able to keep a constant sound level while doing all the thrashing around!
Short of a couple of hiccups that happened, that was an absolutely excellent solo. Then throw in the theatrics and it's intensely memorable. The level of co-ordination this takes is unbelievable, and it's always a treat to watch.
My entire drumming career (if that's what one would call it) was spent trying to maximize. Range of motion/mobility. Keeping everything close not wasting energy to make help make it through 3 sets of music, as well as decreasing the amount of time it takes to "roll around the kit" if need be. Exactly the opposite of what Steve has mastered here and I love how he brings the drummer out front and cracks me up with some of the animated movements! Showmanship is an important part. And the dynamic changes are really cool throughout.👍

We all have choices and that’s why some people put a 👎 but even though we see the mad drummer, he can play drums and feckin good at that, this dude should be bigger in the world of drumming.
He at the very least brings back drumming as more than banging on a drum !! He’ll have a show in Vegas at some point... he’s also a big hit in Europe at present... Relax all the buddy rich fans... enjoy the show .. not every song had to be a jazz opus...

I really doubt some of the commenters' musical experience on here. Moore's timing and rhythm are impeccable on this clip. He pulls stupid faces and makes ridiculous moves with his elbows, but his musicianship to the trained ear is first class. I'd even go as far as to mention this man alongside, Ritch, Bohnam, Moon, Grohl, Collins, Krupper and Pert etc.
Mr Barker His independence is poor. His flash is awkward to watch as his kit is setup with placement for someone much smaller than himself. A metronome , he is NOT! He obviously is aware of his drumming inadequacies,as he has retained his employment with Home Depot. On a more positive note, he genuinely looks to be enjoying himself, and that is good to see.
Mr Barker, The actual drummers you listed would not even let him be their drum tech. And RICH, NOT RITCH. Also KRUPPA , NOT KRUPPER, PEART ,NOT PERT ,etc AND GROHL? Dave Grohl is a mighty fine rock drummer, a hard hitter who has steady time, but he's hardly in Buddy Rich league , or several others on your list.. Watch Senri Karaguchi ,Mr Baker. She actually has the skillset and feel , and is a treat for the ears and eyes.

Its possible when you improvise you push the limits of how far you can go. Its forgivable in a solo.
