- Here is everyone's favorite TH-cam drummer, Steve Moore (of the "This drummer is at the wrong gig ' playing Sharp Dressed Man video). He attended our annual Woodstick Event this year and here is a video of his solo. Find more info at www.bennettdrums.com
Almost as if he doesn't care he is performing; it's like as if he just genuinely wants to play the drums for his own entertainment. Fucking kick ass, man!
Yeah like what a showman :P
Plus, this whole solo is like one big tease, he doesn't even care
This is a man that loves what he's doing.
even I love what hes doing
+Angel Avila I make love to what he's doing.
hey I would
***** which is as far as you'll ever get to getting laid.
I met this guy and trust me when I say he really is the kindest drummer I met. He has one of the greatest sense of humor and a very open mind to music.
If you have played drums just ONCE, you know how insanely difficult it is to do what Moore does here.
Yeah...... honestly... like playing a basic groove while your whole body is moving is rather difficult.
@@joshuaestrada6042 Ok, lets see you do it then.
If you played drums just ONCE, of course you think he is a god, cause you don't know dick. Pro's like myself just yawn. Great for 'show off' genres like metal and what not, where the beats are super simple and playing is secondary. Yes, I agree, it's not easy, but what's the point in this really??
I love comments like “TheMusicalElitist” just posted - “then let’s see YOU do it”… GTFOH
bro it's not his drumming skill people are necessarily concerned about, it's his showmanship. He has stage presence and that's what makes him a hit. He isn't even necessarily a solo kind of drummer he's a performer not a soloist
LMAO hater, make a drum video drumming better than him, we’ll wait… Probably will be waiting until we die.
He is Steve Moore from the Ohio Valley,my home. You should hear him play metal,. This video shows a lil of what he can do on the kit!
I love this guy and his shoulder roll
So amazing to hear Steve play without being subjected to listening to Rick K singing at the same time.
Steve... you are an incredible drummer and entertainer.
Respect for your talent and hard work.
Burt would you know Steve with Rick K? probably not and Steve stuck with Rick for along time plus Rick is a very successful touring band so don't bite the hand that feeds you.
I was happy to be Steves drum tech at this one! You rock Steve!!
Huge crack up in my home when this guy showed up at the end of an episode of the office doing some sort of drum duo with kevin.
SAME! That's why I googled him tonight! I was like hey isnt that the crazy drummer dude?
His style is so recognisable, I didn't recognise the man but I knew it was the same guy just because of how he drummed.
When you're performing, entertaining the people watching is more important than technical accuracy.
It is remarkable that he's able to play what he does with all the flailing, which is VERY ENTERTAINING !!
When you'r e RECORDING, it has to be perfect.
He doesn't do this in the studio, only on stage.
Process the data, boys and girls.
He found a shtick i believe thats the word lol
i love him because he's so unique. he looks like hes going crazy while maintaining a fairly simple but epic rhythm
This was his first live professional drum solo in front of a ton of famous drummers. He was incredibly nervous.
There's a huge number of talented drummers out there. All of them may have to offer something special. I'm a huge fan of Ginger Baker's stile of drumming. He is living the art of leaving gaps in his performance. He's able to give the listener some space to breeze. That might be the reason why so many people said thatvthey could listen to Ginger for hours. He simply does not start to get boring. This guy has comparable qualities. In addition to fantasy, imagination and a lot of groove he offers a visible representation of all this qualities through his stunning and unique performance. Thank you!
This guy is good. Not only as a drummer but a showman.
Perhaps the best part of this video is seeing the smile on the face of the other drummer as he watches his colleague... a look of total awe and admiration!
This guy found the meaning of life
: enjoy while you can
Okay. Fuck it. I'm throwing my guitar away.
Now, to buy some drums...
+darkmage7280 Wanna buy mine? This guy makes me want to throw mine out a window.
+TheWitchOvAgnesi I'll take them for free.
darkmage7280 what are your addresses, i'll be waiting outside your window.
darkmage7280 Oddly enough that's precisely what Steve Moore did!
You don't say? :o
I didn't know that.
I got a cramp in my face for smiling for 4 minutes straight.
does anyone else notice the dude in the background with a huge smile one his face slightly headbanging? hes all i could focus on
... looks like a lady
I'm widya. Dude was feelin tha beetz
Evan Stahl I spent half the vid trying to work out if it was Motley Crue's drummer lol
Evan Stahl I think that may be Bryan Hitt of REO Speedwagon. Not sure though.
Evan Stahl yeaah he is really high lol
I love this guy! He's my new favorite drummer. Not because he's the tightest or anything, but because he's pretty tight and super fun to watch. Totally entertaining.
This boy is serious.. If you listen and don't pay attention to him acting crazy the man is the real deal💪💪
This guy brought a drummer's showmanship to a whole new level.
Love this man - super talented, super entertaining, super drummer.
love the dude's energy! Seeing people play like that reminds me how inspiring music can be!
From 2:14 to 2:32 it is really incredible how he was able to keep the dynamics of the hi hat hits at the same level. That requires a lot of feel and concentration while you are flinging your body every which way.
from 214 to 232 is where he fucked up the most you dummy. I've never had so much fun with so many drum retards in my life
this guy is on another freaking level man, wow. I had a smile on my face the entire time!
Damn it, what a nice change. You kick ass Steve. Keep enjoying those drums, my sons and I love you, for your love of them.
it's strangely impressive that while waving his arms around and throwing sticks everywhere, his sound quality stays, for the most part, consistent
Amazing solo
A true showman and awesome drummer, gotta love this guy.
steve plays in the band with my father. he is a great guy and very humble. believe it or not I've never even seen him break a stick
+Brian Menear People who break sticks are people who aren't playing the right way.
Nice little info
@@glanemann theres no right way. some people purposely break there sticks.
This guy is awesome. Why does everyone have to be so damn critical? Music isn't supposed to be flawless if it is why bother listening. Props Steve Moore !

Jealosy.
Nailed it!
He just has an original rythm and showmanship like no other. Love this guy
Aaaah, he finally made it to the right gig.
Man, you can feel the great energy this guy has to share!
I love the sound of this guys snare.
a musical genius ...one of the most musical drummers ive ever seen or heard
steve moore is a genius ! Hope he'll get bigger and more famous
Steve plays on CdsI don't know how many but look up Dofka. You want to hear Steve really play listen to that music!
Great finesse, dynamics, and showmanship, all while maintaining control. Brought a smile to my face.
The man is just pure talent! It's a simplistic observation, but to use both legs and both hands is difficult enough. To then add all the "theatrics" (meant is a god way) is just an awesome thing to watch, We love it! Our 11 y/o grandson just LOVES to watch him play! Thanks for sharing :0)~
I love this video!!!!!!!!!! And the drummer at the wrong gig - it is BRILLIANT!!!!!
Everyone knows him as "The drummer at the wrong gig," but fail to see that he REALLY is a REALLY good drummer.. Very impressive stuff...
Ya obviously he's an entertainer but he's also a solid drummer. He can mix it up with the best of them. Dude can play any style, even judging by this short video. Too bad people are whining about his "crazy performance"
this is guy is so great he created an optical illusion with all those sticks i had to make sure it wasn't an pre-recording lmao
Tim Frieden that made my brain hurt when I saw it
Best drummer I have ever seen
This man is sooo entertaining!! He and the drum set are one unit. Steve is magnetic!
Wow! He is amazing…
You're on your way to be famous Steve Moore, I salute you !
This guy is the best. I cant get enough of his style. Come get some Catspit~!
Always love to see a man makes his "job" look so fun and my eyes can't keep up with all the things he's doing simultaneously...incredibly fun to watch!
I enjoy listening to him no matter how anyone else wants to dog him for being "average". Of course he's no Keith Moon but he has style and is entertaining.
Average is Tommy Lee, this guy is above average for sure. hes got decent chops and he puts on a show.
Amen to your comment!
Diana A. I think Keith Moon would love this guy.
I wanted this to never end
2:28 when you're trying to get that spider off.
If anyone doubts how good Steve is, check out his latest recording. The guy is a machine. One of the best in my opinion. He has his own style and its all about having fun, that's it. Fun.
He moves like a symphony conductor flipping pizza dough and it’s amazing.
Great to watch someone who can actually play with such enthusiasm.
I listened without watching...have to say he doesn't play anything really that special BUT watching him play is the fun part. He is really entertaining.
from 3:30 onwards he starts with a decent groove.
post your Drum Solo okkkkkk
he has really fast double two pedal bass drum roll. all the rest is just rock beats , but a good sound. i can play a lot of that stuff but have only one bass drum. you can laugh if you want but i was the original drummer in the first rock show'"hair"
Leonard Seed maybe you can play like him but can you put on a performance like he does swinging and changing out those sticks.
Leonard Seed I know your work Leonard. You are a great drummer. )
Entertaining AND a great drummer!
This drummer is clownin'. This is some hard core drummin'.
As always, Steve is AWESOME!!!
People love to criticize because they have absolutely no talent other than picking their noses
Actually I went to college for music and again for jazz performance - although it may be a fun circus act to watch - the actual musicality if this guys playing is where a serious student should after maybe 6 months after picking the sticks if that-once again I am a college educated drummer and started my first college courses at 8 years old I'm now 41 and still study -originally started playing when I was 3 - for you to say no one has any talent is ridiculous -Do you play anything or just talk-if anyone is critical of his playing it's because this is a clinic/drum fest environment-these things aren't free and are usually attended by serious musicians and honestly this dude may be a great "entertainer" but not much if a drummer - I would be pissed if I paid money to learn and see good and creative technique to watch some dude act like an idiot playing nothing but some eighth note bullshit patterns-i have had students as young as three and four years old that could play circles around what is being displayed here- music is an ART&so is the circus-this is a "visual entertainer" nothing more
Read that as I was picking my nose,.. Ironic, dontcha think
Hey first off, that takes some talent, nose picking, and second he's got no rhythm, he's just flailing on drums in a way that doesn't sound terrible. I'm 16 and an amateur drummer, and I can tell that.
Andjus Holinshed Remember, everyone's a professional in TH-cam comments. 😂
@@matthewhill9317 Exactly right, you can clearly hear him fall off tempo and miss timing patterns. It's like all drummers say, (that can play and twirl little sticks at the same time) "never sacrifice your playing by doing tricks". I guess everyone wants to be a showmanship drummer like Thomas Lang, Tommy Aldridge, Mike Portnoy, so on, and so on, they're "a dime a dozen".
I gotta admit though, it is a good show IF DONE RIGHT. Although would be tiring, after watching the same show multiple times. Guaranteed, he would never make the studios playing like that.
Dude is extremely entertaining and even more talented.
Wow, there are a lot of critical naysayers so quick to comment negatively. But bozos with ears have their big red flapping gums, don't they? Ha! Excuse me gurus of stick & skins, this guy can cut a swing beat and lay down a groove. I know lots of drummers can, but this guy is one of them. So when you're all done speeding up and slowing down -- and that's only when you're knocking on doors -- go back and sit on your lofty thrones and wrist-away whilst no one listens or pays attention to anything you play. Go Steve Moore.
True Sickness. I've been a fan for a long time. I have no idea what he's doing but it's amazing.
pure talent
This guy (Steve Moore) Is AMAZING!!! Not only an accurate meter, but masters the drums on a visual level.
go see him live if you want real entertainment....this guy is nuts on the drums....
My dude, this WAS live and he WAS on the drums. Sheesh.
You're input is greatly appreciated Mike Portnoy. Clearly your experience and expertise lends validity to your argument.
You ought to see him play the steering wheel going 60mph.

Welcome to Earth, we human greet you with peace
Yeah I seen that guy on I95
Impeccable timing and one of the most musical drummers I've ever heard.
This is how I imagine Jim Breuer would play!
He's happy, but most importantly he's having fun. He makes other's happy in the process!
I think that's REO Speedwagon's drummer next to him, and the big guy next to him is Paul McCartney's current session/tour drummer.
Yes!! You're correct
Brian Hitt
Absolutely dig the total shizzle outta this Manizzle!! I love Steve Moore man,now THAT is Entertainment!! Great Percussionist, funny AF!!
"I like to play."
- Garth
🤣
Not just an insanely talented drummer, but one hell of a showman too.
Dude is holding class! Mad, no. Skillz, hell yes!
He might not be the best drummer in the world but that does not matter :) He is good enough and it is fun to watch as he has a very positive energy as it looks like he is enjoying what he is doing extremely much.
Da fuck with his speed on the kick!!
Double bass drums, one for each foot.
He's got double bass drums.
You have to watch this guy when he plays. It is simply amazing how he keeps time doing all these crazy tricks
boricua9071 I’ve been saying that for the longest time. All these fucking fake drummers on here who criticize him couldn’t hold a candle to this guy. Jealousy is a sickness.
What's his demon spirits' name? Just wondering.
Gorgonogoth.
+LovableWierdo waaaaahahahahah
+LovableWierdo waaaaahahahahah
Legion
oshikuru demon samurai.
that "drummer at the wrong gig" still won
That's actually really good skill if you knew anything. Most drummers decent or not have a hard time trying to not over power the other instruments in the band. This guy can do all of that flailing around and still maintain control of how loud he gets. Not to mention he has really good stick control. Playing like that is really difficult and he does it just for the fun. Also a good musician does what the music requires. That doesn't always mean playing wild and crazy to amp the song up. Most famous drummers incorporate a lot of tom and base rolls through most of their solos. That doesn't mean you're an awesome drummer.
Ya he still keeps time w the music n doing all that crazy stuff I'm very impressed.
Never thought about him being an actual, really talented, professional drummer. Now all makes sense.
Technically, he is average. But he IS fun to watch. It's all about the gimmick. Mike Terrana is the man!
blake86303 How you know he is average?
+blake86303 Average in god drumming terms, yeah.
I don't think I've ever seen drumming like this in my life.
2:28 - the camera guy realises he is too close and is about to lose an eye....
To all the haters... Great drummer or not he's an internet sensation so say what you want but he's found his nitch and that's part of being a drummer. A lot of professional out there are famous because of the band they're in, not because of their skills. Being a drummer, I think that it's great that someone has found a way to be more than just that guy way in the back that most people don't see or know. Ride that wave Steve!!! Most will only dream of what you've accomplished....
The drummer reminds me of the Muppet Show.
That's THE drummer!?!?! LOVE HIM!!!

Legend has it, the camera battery died but Steve is still there and still playing his solo..
2:14
Hyperspeed achieved.
Not only this guy has major talent, massive skillz and great showmanship he is also quite easy on the eyes. THE WHOLE PACKAGE. Great Job Steve Moore.
Stupid comments about his ability, he's playing a solo whilst juggling three sticks, jealousy is not very nice people.
It just isn’t that good 🤷♂️
James Bellamy Agree. The groove is amateur & sloppy; he loses his time more often than I could count; and the stick shtick is something Bevis & Butthead woulda loved in the day.
He fuckin sucks flinging sticks and missing beats isn’t good at all he is clown
@@Mo_Ketchups I see all three of you really don't understand, what he's doing is incredibly good, you think music has to be perfect? Nahh, and this man manages to make something incredible with creating his own flaws. You're not a real musician if you can't enjoy and find musicality in what he does
i saw the other video, and then this one. this dude is a good and entertaining drummer. I'm a fan for life. :)
2:28 great abs/core workout.
The drum sound/ cymbal mixture is absolutely impeccable.
It's great how he can control the volume of his beats to give after effect :o
All of you hating on Steve…let's see your endorsements, records, list of signed bands, and signature sticks…then you can compare.
i wish more people enjoyed their instruments as much as he obviously does . power to him
I just want to point out, that one does not need endorsements, records, or signed labels. It's like saying you need to be a chef for a five star restaurant before you can judge if something you're eating is good or bad.
While I agree people shouldn't be hating on the guy, your defense is flawed.
the guys who dislike this are the guys who look like chicks when they play
Amazingly amazing. Blown away
