@@MrIrule111 From what she tells us, its way worse than the corruption of Light. At least the corruption of Light was an aetheric imbalance, which could be fixed slowly but surely, but it doesnt seem that way now. Its more that the soul itself is getting destroyed, probably from the massive strain using so much feral souls causes, and thats something we, for now, dont know how to fix outside of getting a denser (or more complete, if you know ShB story) soul. TL;DR, fixing aetheric imbalance is one thing, fixing the soul itself is another beast entirely.
the VA for wicked thunder just has this power to her voice. it just makes this song better.

I Think instead of “white light” it’s “What light, left here inside, I’ll suffocate, if that’s what it takes.” And instead of “fill my life” it’s “I’ll bet my life before it’s lost”.
It might also be 'supplicate' instead of 'suffocate' - i.e. she's so desperate she'll throw away her pride and beg if needed. But I'm not sure.
I'm hearing "I'll mend my life before it's lost". Which would also fit, given the whole reason she's trying to take our soul.

My first attempt at this raid took so long, I actually started to learn the lyrics.
The RWBY vibes are bone deep! I seriously though they got Casey on the track for a hot minute, but Chrissy ate this up! I've never been so tempted to rerun a raid or spend millions of gil for an orchestrion roll before.
I'd say it's pretty spot on, only thing I'd say is different is the last *Yeah* at 5:53 is a "Free"

As someone who's been a fan of Chrissy Costanza and her band Against The Current, having her involved in FFXIV was something I never expected when I became a fan over 10 years ago.
This sounds a lot like older Paramore and I'm here for it
Against The Current (the band Chrissy Costanza is part of) is logged in my mind as "old school Paramore" - the Paramore I loved pre-2010: the last album I liked from them was Brand New Eyes, but RIOT! and All We Know Is Falling were my jam. What came after sounded too estranged from the perpetual teenage angst in me.
When I discovered Against The Current around 2012, they reignited my interest for the sound that Paramore used to have.
You put in the voice lines??? THATS WHY HES THE MVP, THE GOAT !!
It probably helps to prevent this video from being an outright rip-off because an argument that the audio is part of gameplay.

I imagine once we make it to the top, we'll either free all the souls they have in reserve and use Azem's crystal to fight the president since there won't be any more champion souls for us to use, or we'll be locked out of their system before fighting them so we pull out the crystal as a backup plan.

Keeping the dialogue in the song was a great touch, and the drop at the beginning was so damn good.

i love this song. i know i love this song when it keeps playing all day long in my head. and I like your style of video, without omitting the boss speech. Love it.
I adore the fact if you really listened to the lyrics (y'know, while you're probably getting obliterated) you could put together her story before she ever tells you.

A word of warning for tanks. Never MT this while being half sleep at 3am on this raid.
The dance is easy after you know the mechanics. but does require your attention and short term memory.
When you continue the story after this and learn everything behind her reason to challenge you, this song just hits you differently every time you hear it and makes me tear up a bit.

Chrissy Costanza has been one of the most underrated female rock vocalists for years. Serious vocal power in this total banger. Soken’s written a lot of amazing rock songs over the years, but this might be his best.
