Yeah, she's very good. Would love to see that "cooldown starts when you activate a challenge" being added and what you suggested for her 1st (I think they also need to buff the hitboxes on those wires, as apparently certain enemies are small enough to dodge the wires). Saw one thing being mentioned that sounded like fun: giving Bunraku a hold cast that drags all enemies cc'ed by it towards Koumei, making them pass through the wires of Kumihimo and dropping them on the ground for ground finishers.
Great to see someone who understands how potent Koumei is :D Try Cedo on her though that weapon seems made for her. Innate "Condition Overload" alot of spread and great to for alot of her challenges
Koumei definitely isn't bad. She is just closer in comparison to Lavos and Ember than being another Dante. She isn't as straightforward as "stack STR and subsume Roar." Her stat priorites are unique and her ability damage has a high damage ceiling (even without decrees) when you scale it up with Sickening Pulse, +Corrosive stack Archon shard, and Casting speed. Omamori isn't Mesmer Shield, but it does make Koumei much harder to kill. It's heal/overheal into shields/overshields effect scales well with DR and Armor DR for casual health tanking and is another layer of protection when depending on shields for endurance running. With base 222 shields Catalyzing Shields + Vigilante Vigor + Fast Deflection gives Koumei 44 max shields and 43 shield per second regen. She can shield regen as well if not better than Gauss does and I haven't seen many talking about this. Koumei has the potential to be very good but your analysis that she doesn't align with the meta is spot on. Jamming Cata-Respite-Augur and/or STR+Roar just doesn't yield worthwhile results. Every frame has their own set of stat priorities for their abilities and most aren't building Koumei for hers.
What good fortune that we're getting the trumna prime in a couple days then. :B One of the traps of playing a game for too long is that it tends to give you tunnel vision on *how* to play, so novel concepts are often overlooked or outright declared to be bad or underpowered.
I really love Koumei, I love how she plays, love her decrees, love her priming, love her passive. When the update came out I was more excited for the Nova and Caliban rework then Koumei. Then I got koumei and started leveling her something clicked for me so i ended up experimenting with her more and I can't put her down and completely ignored Nova and Caliban for a bit, she my new main. I did my very first solo cascade level cap with her I did a couple of solo level cap disruptions for her with absolute ease. I play her in a lot of content too, she can health tank very well and her 3, though its flawed, it makes her health tanking very viable for base SP. She shield gates very good with 44 Shields with catalyzing shields even with that efficiency decree and the 30 percent chance to not consume energy decree, her 1 is so spamable for shield gating and her 1 isn't bad for status application either. She makes your operator so good too, after stacking some of those decrees she makes last gasp so easy to get back up from. You can build very unique for her too because you dont have to build too much for her abilities, 30 base range for her 1 and 4, you don't have to build duration or strength unless you put a helminth on her. Her abilities work out the box. Also her wall latch challenges I didn't get at all it was a free decree, you can use her 4 while wall latching as well even without that it is a non issue, now that they reduced the kills to get and it makes it even more free and I love getting it because you get it so quick.
I've been absolutely loving Koumei, first run I wanted to stress test her after forma ended up being 9-1/2 hours in conj survival lmao. She's a beast and those decrees are unfuckingreal

Thank you for sharing this on such a unique and strong frame. Apparently, the threads on Komei’s 1 are limited due to “performance issues”…….some of us think that is for the Cell phone version of the game only….which is really sad if it is true. According to patch notes, this is the same reason for the Cooldown on Nova’s 1, due to “performance issues”. Also, as a Nova main…..I agree. It felt like to me they made the changes to Nova for those who don’t main her, or play her outside of Hydron/defense. Also, that they were based off of others complaints of Nova, like newer players bringing Slowva and getting cussed out in game. Like it felt like to me many changes were based solely on how others use her in Hydron specifically, which is just disheartening if it’s true. I liked the changes to augments for 1, with Nullstars auto priming, but all other changes felt like mostly Downgrades to me. As a Nova main, I’ve never really needed to go between Slow and Fast in the same mission, if anything it would just be to swap between Slow and Neutral for some, or swap between Fast and Neutral for some. The higher the enemy levels, the greater the disadvantages of both slow and Fast become, and the stronger and more useful Neutral Nova gets…….but now you have to gimp the shit out of her kit for Neutral which just feels so shitty to me. AMD is so much worse now imo…..at least before it was a decent Shield gate ability and was a fast 1 handed cast that was recastable….now it’s not even useable for shield gate. I don’t see why they give this ability SO many restrictions. It doesn’t even function well at all on its own, and almost have to bring a specific setup weapon for charging, in which case the weapon can almost do better job at AMD than the ability can, for function, when having to setup something for charging it anyways. I’d rather it go back to how it was before in all ways, personally. Also the LoS check seems badly implemented, and reminds me of the OG LoS checks that were jank, that they gave to Khora’s Whipclaw and others. The first iteration of the LoS check I mean, that had horrible hit detection. Oof, sorry to rant xD Thanks again for the awesome video!!!!
No thats it! I agree with everything, it felt really weird feeling that Nova was kinda nerfed by the rework, and everyone saying its amazing, I thought I was almost alone in that, but some people in the discord also agree, and glad to see someone on youtube also agree :)
@@morning8590 I know what you mean there…….so weird seeing so many content creators and players call her rework Insanely Good or Amazing, or Perfect…….made me honestly question how often those who said that have ever used her outside of Defense quests. @@DevlLo0pers She's not that hard to use though, just bring a loadout that has CO in it and she'll do just fine. she's one of the frames that doesn't even need to have a subsumed ability in the first place to be viable.

I'll definitely try this out once I get everything, probably the best build I've seen so far. To be honest that's my biggest problem with frame build videos is every content creator has a different build that does this or that, and you can never pick the right one. Also doesn't help each one uses different polarities so why you use a certain amount of forma for one there are others that use less forma or even more forma. I suppose what I'm trying to say is the content creators aren't to blame but more likely the game itself is to blame because of the way forma works. I kinda understand why it's the way it is but it's so hard finding great builds when they all use different stuff, so you gotta spend more forma to switch that polarity and that means going all the way to rank 30 all over again.... unless I'm missing something which I possibly could be. Either way bottom line is this build is great and I'll try it, I just wish the game could treat forma differently especially on frames. Apologies for the long comment and for it barely making any sense.
Glad to see people appreciating Koumei, shes not an ability nuke frame! Thats the first thing people need to take off their minds She's a weapon platform and shes as good as the weapons u put on her. She's soo much fun to play. Every time i test a new build, i end up playing for like 3 hours at a stretch. I've never done this with any other frame.
Honestly, I think she's a bit of both. Spamming 1 and 4 really enhances how well she performs imo, but she is also reliant on weapons to complete challenges efficiently, but even without full elemental coverage from your weapons, if you just spam 1 between attacks/shots you are gonna apply the elements required for the challenges regardless
The only things I would change is her first ability does not have a limit the only limit u have is ur range and the duration goes up because its to short then second ability cooldown starts when u get one decree and the thied ability remove the cool down part
Interesting thing about her abilities is that they can animation cancel like breach surge. If you have a slow reload speed, you can negate the reload animation by casting and it doesnt negate the reload process. Basically, you can now do something and damage your enemies even if you are reloading. They are also good anti-knock down cancellers if you time your casts when you are about to be knocked down by say the fire eximus, or by the blast aoe of any weapon like the trumna alt fire.
I think DE missed out on a HUGE opportunity. They could have made her subsumed ability Omikuji (2) instead of Omamori (3). This would have made intrinsics available to ANY warframe via the helminth. We can only dream. 😁
That would be the same mistake they did with valkyr, you discourage people from playing the warframe if you can have what the frame offers on any other frame, bad design desision
Im really liking koumei after playing for a while. I just wished she was a bit more synergistic, her 3rd scaling better, her 1 and 4 being good together... That kind of things Edit: like in her 3, makw de cooldown decrease with more duration, make the 50% scale with strength, idk, it could be better imo
Was skimming through the secondary page on the wiki, looking for a secondary for her to use and saw the Hystrix Prime. That thing can force proc any of the base elements on command. Should be a good option for doing the "affected by X status effect" challenges, if you want more flexibility when it comes to elements on your other weapons.
A thing I've really liked having with her is a predasite personally, it's a really good companion to use the mecha set with because the decrees she gets comboing with armor, an arcane battery to go with it, and to top it off it exposes enemies to finishers so I don't have to worry about how to trigger it without using helminth (on the real, this is what her wires should have done I like the finisher decrees but I don't like that their is so few ways to trigger them)
I literally just got the game because of my friend and got her because of how sick she looks I love the whole ancient Chinese styling she has in appearance and marionette gimmick so sick. Hopefully they don’t change her she seems like the most fun and unique character at least the one I’ve latched onto.
Great video. I personally fall more in line with those people who think Koumei is good and a great addition to the game. The way I play Warframe, my general approach to the game, my general style, and what Warframes and weapons I generally and traditionally use, meant that I picked up on her fast. Like when I see people who claim she is weak, useless, to be soon forgotten about, etc, and then I see how they play her, and what they consider good and bad in Warframe, it starts to make a bit more sense, because I think they are playing her against her strengths and or in a way that she wasn't designed for. Which can be the case with many Warframes. Which is like fair... people have preferences, but there is also a skill in identifying a characters kit and potential as well as synergies. I also don't really mind if such people request buffs, and improvements, because I am already content and happy with Koumei as is, but I'd be more than happy if she received some buffs, QOL, etc too. I find her kit in fast multiplayer missions, whelming. Not underwhelming, just whelming. I also actually think, and I know this is an unpopular idea, but I think she is a good "beginner" Warframe. The way I interpret what DE means, by beginner friendly, is... you can get her on Earth... So in a way she is a bit like Gara. Do beginners know how to stack increasing damage with Gara or nuke rooms, or create Steel Path builds with Gara? Not really, but there is a button you can use for Defence, and some buttons that you can press and it will kill things, so whilst more experienced players will know she shines in endurance, she is accessible to new players too. Most Warframes tend to be, in a basic way, so its about the accessibility. That was my interpretation at least. Maybe its also because I really liked Duviri and spent a lot of time theory crafting Decrees, but even with the omission of some of my favourite Decrees, Koumei's potential is staggering. My fav type of Warframe. is solo endurance between roughly 60 to 300 minutes, in Disruption, Survival, Alchemy, Cascade etc. My general KPM with Koumei can get really high, even with really casual chill runs, because Decrees like Double Crit Damage, Double Status Damage, as well as the many others... Also, she turns many of my favourite, less powerful weapons, into endurance capable weapons. Like she can turn single target weapons like Daikyu or Exergis into AOE mob clearers. Plus weapons like Tigris and Kuva Hek, with the Magazine increase Decrees? Like you demonstrate in this video though, you have to actually consciously care about what weapons you use, and how you build them. Like you have opportunity to get Cold and Corrosive on your guns, for free... Plus Gundition overload builds should be a natural choice, and when you start considering your build that way, well with enough time, you can get monstrously powerful. You'll hit your strength cap, Acolytes will be melted and one shot by weapons that may not usually one shot them, enemy Necramechs will be frozen and shredded in seconds, Thrax enemies will be melted even faster. The other thing is, solo players who know why and which parts of maps are going to be conductive to Koumei's play style and strengths, will also benefit much more, than people who don't care and just randomly run about in any map. Koumei's CC is great, and greatly assists her survivability. I only run Arcane Blessing on her, and with her 3, thats enough to keep me alive. I actually like her 3 a little bit more than Mesmer skin, because I cast it less, and I use mobility with her a lot as well. When I see people trying to nuke with Koumei in large rooms, like she is Dante or Saryn, I mean... I get why they will get underwhelmed. Anyway, I'm personally happy with them, and I can see Koumei , probably entering my top ten most used/played within the year. Some fine tuning could be nice. From what I heard, the Decrees will have a tendency to want to complete, and some I think can be a detriment, so I would like if we could get a choice... Or the suggestion about when the cool down starts, but even if those don't happen I will probably clock in a lot of time on her.
Koumei is Koumei. She isn't Saryn, Revenant, or any of the other cheese frames people compare her to. She is Lady Luck. The Strummer of Fate. RNG incarnate. Honestly, most TH-camrs hate her first ability, but that's because it's used wrong. It's not a set and forget ability. You cast it over and over again. Her second ability is great for SP Circuit, SP Endless missions, and Arbitrations. Everywhere else, you won't need it. It's her primary choice to place a Helminth ability. Her third ability is great minus the three second cooldown between charms spent. Just use Rolling Guard during those cooldowns and you will be safe. Her fourth ability is great for large clear areas. Crowd control, status application, and damage? You can't go wrong. The only thing that brings it down is the long casting animation and it can't be reapplied to affected targets. Koumei loves Status/Crit hybrid weapons that have Condition Overload/Status Affected Galvanized mods equipped on it. Her passive is one of the best in the game. For Acolytes, just have a High Crit/High Damage weapon in her loadout to take care of them. Koumei's base kit is SP viable. Helminth options are just for quality of life and nothing more.
I've watched ALOT of the koumei videos other creators have made (including the ones that hated her, and thought she should be a nuke frame) you are the very first one I've seen that mentioned her 3 heals shields to... it's actually quite nice, although fine as a defensive ability and when u do get the 666 rolls u can just terminator tank for a while...
Thanks for the video. I'll have to try the Traumna when get the Prime, I've been using Cedo and its pretty effective. I use her 1 ability as an extra Shield builder and it does help prime up enemies for the Ocucor as a a statue based power. Ocucor with her is almost broken. Can finish a lot of the decrees in under 5 seconds, and it grows insane with a lot of her Decrees. The headshot one is probably my hardest to complete. have to headshot people with the Cedo.
I think the issue with the discourse around Koumei is that both sides are kind of right: Koumei is a powerful frame when you build her correctly, but it is also true that there are several other frames that do what she does for much less effort. It's more of a problem with other frames than Koumei herself, the level of power available to frames that are also extremely easy to play makes it so that, if you are grading performance on pure efficacy (damage / survivability for effort required) Koumei will lose to Revenant, Saryn, Dante, etc... When easy frames are powerful, no matter how good other frames are, any extra modicum of effort the other frames take will make them seem worse by comparison. It's a race to the bottom.
The strange thing I find is that on some of the decrees you have AOE for regular weapons, 500% attack speed, 100% crit damage, 100% status damage, 20% damage for just having enemies with status effects, refreshing overguard, knockdown immunity, +4 range and unmixing electric on your melee weapons, like 2 different second hit abilities, melee duplicate on any melee, and a bunch more and some how people still say her decrees suck. Like fair, parkour is bad, but most of them I feel you can make use out of if you just open your mind a tad and try to use them
I personally think her 3 still needs some change, like keep the 50/50 chance but lower the internal cooldown at least. and on the subsume ability, keep the 3 seconds icd
I think the issue with your demonstration of the decree challenges is that, in any group setting anymore, most your group mates literally walk around instantly disintegrating everything on the map by simply existing in their general vicinity. So getting kills at all alongside shit like that happening is a challenge. It's something I notice even just trying to proc all my primary merciless stacks so I'm actually doing damage in the first place. I think that's why the community as a whole is just not vibing with her. The meta these days is afk nuking everything and she can't really do that so she's handicapped off the rip. I don't know how people can say they enjoy the game when they aren't doing anything more than jumping around and pressing one or two buttons every 30 seconds but whatever.
I would just make two changes. FIrst: Her 2 should allow us to chose between three decrees (like in duviri), some agency would feel nice... Second the cooldown should start when the ability is triggered OR the cooldown cap is 30 seconds max...2 and a half minutes is ridiculous.
Several questions that you may or may not have answered in the video (if you did I am sorry I got the attention span of a gnat). Anywho, 1.) Power Drift over PSF; I thought myself about doing this bc "hey you can roll the decree" but that's like a 1 in like 45 chance? I also agree with the play around her decrees stance you have, but at the same time unless you only play her in very long endurance missions you can't bank on getting a specific one in a quick mission where you might only get a few and getting knocked down seems like a death penality. Is it worth the tradeoff? 2.) When I was getting back into WF a week or so ago, I followed someone else's' guide on Reddit who swore her 1 was her bread and butter and you should spam it and play grouping Naut and melee pull arcane, which is what I have been running with, I wanna know why sometimes they hit 500k then sometimes they hit like a 553. not k just 553 lol. ik it's a roll based on the dice but that seems way too big of a variance. it's okay if you dont know bc you dont seem to like that ability. 3.) How often does Naut get the kills itself in higher level missions to trigger contagious bond? (I think we are using same wep basically, except I'm using hellstrum instead of verglas) 4.) going off of question 2, the build is mostly the same but this has PSF, Equilibrium, and FE instead of Power Drift, Energy Nexus, and U. Intensify (and arcanes and the Naut build is slightly diff, like synth deconstruct to make use of equilibrium, and im using 2 cast speed, 1 shield on blast, and 2 ability damage on corrosive shards) but would you say that build is "wrong" or just a different way to play her? I personally have been enjoying it but do feel there's room for improvement. She instantly rocketed to my favorite frame and just really want to get the most out of her, but at the same time I've grown kind of attached to 1 spam build lol. No probs :) 1: it's very much up to you, I don't use PSF on any warframes because I don't enjoy it much (it's a personal preference thing) You can definitely add it over power drift, its more consistent if you find yourself getting knocked more. 2: I genuinely don't know 0_0 500k you're hitting?? maybe you are hitting triple 6's and that's causing it? but yea that's way to big of a variance, I see you do give the build at point 4, so im going to test it 3: quite often actually, especially with a heat setup, for example, if the companion deals the 1st heat dot to an enemy, it gets "ownership" of the heat stack, so if you add onto that heat stack and the enemy dies, it counts towards a kill for the nautilus, so as an example if you do a late game high ability strength 4 with koumei and it kills an enemy, it counts for the sentinel 4: No that build seems 100% fine, do you have any helminth ability on somewhere? There are many possible build you could go with her, so this as a variation seems great!
Would the build for the Dual Toxocyst be the same? I don't have the Knell Prime, so I just farmed the Toxocyst and it's Incarnon upgrade. However, I'm not sure which mods or which Incarnon upgrades to take. Also thanks for the guide! I came back to Warframe for Koumei and got slightly demotivated, because I've read so many negative opinions about her. I thought for multiple days now if I should really put all that work into her or just choose another character I enjoy. Your video motivated me to stay with my choice and actually build her. I really love this Frame!
I feel like you can keep her strength at 100% and replace the two strength mods with shield recharge delay mods so shield gating is a bit more reliable as some decrees give free casts and will mess with brief respite, also maybe replace rolling gaurd with the mod that gives -75% status duration on self and spec more into 175% range as duration isnt really needed either Edit: Sorry this is if you don't want to run a helminth
Also I really like that point that you made about not liking the nova rework because it feels like it was made for people who don't play nova. it's why I don't like when people who can't appreciate the base kit of frames like vauban or valkyr shouldn't be clamoring for a rework. To them, the entire kit is beneath regard when to me and many others there's simply things we want fixed or things we want buffed not whole mechanics changed and baby out with the bathwater style of overhauls
The largest issue I have with gamble girl is the 10% chance of her abilities doing the thing I want them to do There’s also the fact that her 1 and 4 have a wonky interaction. You want enemies walking through her stings, but her 4 causes enemies to be ccd, I’m still of the firm belief these should be one ability where the tap cc and the hold spawns stings, specifically targeting those affected by the tap but still throws them around Overall, I just find the gameplay loop of koumei to be lackluster and not fun. But I can also understand that peeps love her so keep gambling homies 😁

I've been thinking Swooping Miasma sucks because when Duviri came out I tried to figure out how to get the viral status to proc for 2 waves straight, and I realized it only worked on ONE enemy at a time, and only when I made perfect contact with a "jump kick". I decided it wasn't ever worth picking over just about anything else, so I haven't tried it since it was introduced... Did DE change it to a Nourish like viral explosion? Is it only like that for Koumei? Or am I just missing something?
Hey man, can I ask, why is it not worth running every archon mod on her? I've just started using her and she seems bad for new players, but in endrlurance she's wild. Also, I really can't see how Nova has got worse. The only thing that seems to have got worse is the fact I've got 15 forma in her I didn't need. 😅
Hi, thanks for the video. I like Koumei too, I'm not that skilled at handling her, nor do I have good aim (I think I aim for the head but I end up shooting everywhere XD), so some decrees are difficult for me, due to the player's lack of skill, not the character's. I've kept all of her skills, I consider the first one to be quite good. I don't rely on shield gating because I'm very forgetful and sometimes I forget to spend energy XD, but you've given me ideas regarding weapons and companions, when it comes to helping carry out decrees. Maybe, could be made a build with her that would be useful or a bit more suitable for anything other than endurance missions? I'm not talking about turning her into a Volt or a Titania making relics at the speed of light, but maybe replacing skill 2 with another one that doesn't require so much control of what she kills, especially when we're in a squad. I'm just asking, as I already said, I keep her entire kit, and I like it a lot that way.
Yea thats 100%, if the decrees are a bit difficult thats perfectly understandable, thats why I mentioned the marketing was flawed imo, not everyone has been playing for ages like a lot of the cc's, I have a build for her for quick missions where I actually completely remove her decrees, because for the quicker missions you don't need it, it's another flexibility I like about her, I am going to share all of this when I do her full breakdown video :)
Y'all think this is easy? Try Akarius and Nataruk. Cake walk! Akarius takes care of airbone and wall latch kills in an instant. U dont even need to aim, just jump or wall latch and shoot. I dont need to tell u how good Nataruk is, even for the 20m away kills. Perfect shots can even give you multiple headshots with the right grouping scenario.
Yea i suspect that my Nova opinions will be a bit controversial to say the least, i'll make a video on it soon :) It's clear that people are enjoying the rework, but I have played her a long time and things like neutral being gone from her kit, the internal cooldowns and reduced scaling on things like antimatter made her feel weird to me, but again, thats just an opinion I have and there are a few other ones as well but don't want the comment to be too long, bottom line is, if the majority are happy with her in current state, then thats cool I have no problem with that, just feels slightly alienating, but there are many other frames for me, so no real big issue :)

Not that she is weak……but just feels bad with damage limits, speed limits, LoS limits……like they are trying to balance her for a different game.
The problem with her as a weapon platform is that there are a ton of weapons platforms that give more than she does. A hound as a primer combined with any other weapons platform frame (Rhino, Revenant, Volt, Wisp, Zephyr to name a few that function better as platforms than Koumei) will outperform her. Her niche, I think, is that she's the earliest in the game you can access priming to synergise with Condition overload or the galvanised mods. She's not the best at it, but she's an early way into the playstyle. I actually like the decrees, i think they're fun. I just wish you more choice on which ones you get, like the circuit functions.
Whilst I respect staying away from other creators to get your own perspective on a frame/build; it does leave you open to misinterpretation of their criticisms. Literally no-one thinks her decree challenges are hard in solo play. The issue is trying to get 40+ wall latch kills in a squad using melee influence, ability nukes, saryn acid shells, etc etc. The problem isn't that she is a bad frame, but all her abilities have design and synergy problems that could very easily have been avoided and would make her 10x better to play without making her significantly stronger. For example her 1 would be better if range and duration scaled its base to a set number of charges, strings spawned to the capped number (presumably for performance or visual clutter reasons which I totally get) but would spawn a fresh one within range of Koumei once triggered, consuming a stored charge. Her 2 would benefit from the change you discussed: but honestly I'd prefer it to have 2 cooldowns one for accepting a challenge (capped at 240s) and one for rejecting a challenge (standard 80s) but have both cooldowns scale with efficiency. And then have the ability reveal the decree with the challenge so you could reject decrees you don't want for a minimized 20s cooldown penalty. Her 3 kinda needs the internal cooldown to be balanced but it would be nice if the activation percentage could scale with strength up to say 90% to make it more reliable. Her 4 should really be 360 by default. I also like the hold/tap function someone else mentioned. And then the triple 6 could be damage vuln per status inflicted rather than just increasing the stack count which is lacklustre given the ability is secretly hard-coded to cluster then anyway. On the whole I think her design is really great, the concept behind the skills fun and engaging; but the only ability I look at without some sense of "this could be so much better without being so much stronger" is her passive...
Honestly the divide I see is solo vs team play. The update you have assists count would of helped a long way, but DE messed it up. Solo play she's strong, Honestly the strongest thing about her kit is her passive. She also has massive dissynergy with her kit, that people just keep ignoring. The gameplay above showed next to no use of her 4, amd her first was subsumed. You have to rely on weapons to kill with status? Where he 1 and 4 is rng staus apply. You know rolling the dice with the dice madian. Think this frame needed more time to cook, people are blinded by omg decrees are broken! The rest of her skills is lacking (though I do like the charms). Kinda like one of my favourite frames, equinox with terrify, her 4 is the best room clear in the game, the rest of her skills (bar 1st, you know her identity) succ.
Oh, if you want to make latch and air time kills more easy to fulfil, try the exidus mod that boosts both of though (niras something iirc, it's a bronze one)
Another person that does not get to use her first ability, which is insane primer and high kill potential. I still don't get why ppl build power strength on her
She's fun but i disagree on her viability especially when compared to other frames. The only reasons to choose her is priming, which pets can do for you now, seeing dice roll, and her decrees (which are much better in Duviri where they can make use of intrinsics and being able to pick decrees). Those reasons aside why would i ever use koumei. It was laughable how much quicker i did things when i swapped to other frames like Kullervo, New Nova, Saryn, Voruna with new argument ect. Koumei sadly will collect dust for me until she at the bare minimum has her decree ability function as it does in Duviri and without that insane scaling cool down that punishes you even when you complete a challenge.
I doubt her decrees will get the duviri scaling, if they do she will get nuked off the planet, that would rocket her up to being the strongest frame bar none, ofcoarse it would be fun as hell to have that kinda scaling from intrinsics but DE would nerf that as quick as they implement it. and I mean thats perfectly fine, I have no illusions that she is for everyone, she is niche as hell :)

But there's so much I'd do to change her or could see changed about her i even made a gigantic lengthy buff/tweak post under some other videos about it. But TBH i dont think she'd be the best frame bar none even with Duviri mechanics being 1:1. You have frames like Revenant that literally cannot die with one ability which lets him be invincible from level 1 to level cap And Octavia who can literally make the game play itself from level 1 to level cap. Provided you are willing to tire your finger out spamming crouch. Koumei will never have the ease of power they do even with all the buffs in the world. You also gotta keep in mind she will accrue decrees slower in groups naturally too. Shes competing in kills with frames like Voruna, Sevagoth and Saryn who can nuke rooms through walls before koumei can even get the enemy in her LOS. She definitely shines in solo endurance runs but feels lackluster outside of that one situation imo. I could go into detail about her kit but it's probably too long for anyone to bother to read it lol.

Nah, while I can see she's strong in endurance runs, koumeis issues show themselves in squad play. In solo play you have the control of the battlefield, you can play your minigame in peace and control. In a squad however, obviously her kill speed is significantly lower cos she's playing a mini game all her own. Other people have the ability to see red dot, kill red dots without any extra hoops. The times I see koumei in a squad, in survial, she's not saying in the room, cos the squad is killing too fast. As stated above, she needs to be able to control her kills to be effective. And yes koumeis best part of her kit, is her passive, it's loaded. But imagine the situations where your decree is wall latch kills, kill with headshots, while your melee is buffed. Koumei has so much dissynergy in her kit, I'm convinced they rushed her. So when the community is very clearly divided on her, they are both Wright, she is both amazing, a new fresh playstyle, but also a fodder frame, that needs ti,e to ramp up. Again the difference of solo and team play is very clearly the main issue of the polarising opinions. Koumei isn't for me, I tried, but I dislike her I'm squad play, that's OK though, if other people love her, that's the point, play what you enjoy.
Well in my humble opinion koemei is only build specific for the co and gun co mods she is a secondary encumber frame period Building for decrees is pointless when half of them or useless especially when you are fighting for survival in a mission

Yeah, she's very good. Would love to see that "cooldown starts when you activate a challenge" being added and what you suggested for her 1st (I think they also need to buff the hitboxes on those wires, as apparently certain enemies are small enough to dodge the wires).
Saw one thing being mentioned that sounded like fun: giving Bunraku a hold cast that drags all enemies cc'ed by it towards Koumei, making them pass through the wires of Kumihimo and dropping them on the ground for ground finishers.

Try Cedo on her though that weapon seems made for her. Innate "Condition Overload" alot of spread and great to for alot of her challenges
Koumei definitely isn't bad. She is just closer in comparison to Lavos and Ember than being another Dante. She isn't as straightforward as "stack STR and subsume Roar."
Her stat priorites are unique and her ability damage has a high damage ceiling (even without decrees) when you scale it up with Sickening Pulse, +Corrosive stack Archon shard, and Casting speed.
Omamori isn't Mesmer Shield, but it does make Koumei much harder to kill. It's heal/overheal into shields/overshields effect scales well with DR and Armor DR for casual health tanking and is another layer of protection when depending on shields for endurance running.
With base 222 shields Catalyzing Shields + Vigilante Vigor + Fast Deflection gives Koumei 44 max shields and 43 shield per second regen. She can shield regen as well if not better than Gauss does and I haven't seen many talking about this.
Koumei has the potential to be very good but your analysis that she doesn't align with the meta is spot on. Jamming Cata-Respite-Augur and/or STR+Roar just doesn't yield worthwhile results. Every frame has their own set of stat priorities for their abilities and most aren't building Koumei for hers.

One of the traps of playing a game for too long is that it tends to give you tunnel vision on *how* to play, so novel concepts are often overlooked or outright declared to be bad or underpowered.
I really love Koumei, I love how she plays, love her decrees, love her priming, love her passive. When the update came out I was more excited for the Nova and Caliban rework then Koumei. Then I got koumei and started leveling her something clicked for me so i ended up experimenting with her more and I can't put her down and completely ignored Nova and Caliban for a bit, she my new main. I did my very first solo cascade level cap with her I did a couple of solo level cap disruptions for her with absolute ease. I play her in a lot of content too, she can health tank very well and her 3, though its flawed, it makes her health tanking very viable for base SP. She shield gates very good with 44 Shields with catalyzing shields even with that efficiency decree and the 30 percent chance to not consume energy decree, her 1 is so spamable for shield gating and her 1 isn't bad for status application either. She makes your operator so good too, after stacking some of those decrees she makes last gasp so easy to get back up from. You can build very unique for her too because you dont have to build too much for her abilities, 30 base range for her 1 and 4, you don't have to build duration or strength unless you put a helminth on her. Her abilities work out the box. Also her wall latch challenges I didn't get at all it was a free decree, you can use her 4 while wall latching as well even without that it is a non issue, now that they reduced the kills to get and it makes it even more free and I love getting it because you get it so quick.

Apparently, the threads on Komei’s 1 are limited due to “performance issues”…….some of us think that is for the Cell phone version of the game only….which is really sad if it is true. According to patch notes, this is the same reason for the Cooldown on Nova’s 1, due to “performance issues”.
Also, as a Nova main…..I agree. It felt like to me they made the changes to Nova for those who don’t main her, or play her outside of Hydron/defense. Also, that they were based off of others complaints of Nova, like newer players bringing Slowva and getting cussed out in game.
Like it felt like to me many changes were based solely on how others use her in Hydron specifically, which is just disheartening if it’s true.
I liked the changes to augments for 1, with Nullstars auto priming, but all other changes felt like mostly Downgrades to me.
As a Nova main, I’ve never really needed to go between Slow and Fast in the same mission, if anything it would just be to swap between Slow and Neutral for some, or swap between Fast and Neutral for some.
The higher the enemy levels, the greater the disadvantages of both slow and Fast become, and the stronger and more useful Neutral Nova gets…….but now you have to gimp the shit out of her kit for Neutral which just feels so shitty to me.
AMD is so much worse now imo…..at least before it was a decent Shield gate ability and was a fast 1 handed cast that was recastable….now it’s not even useable for shield gate.
I don’t see why they give this ability SO many restrictions. It doesn’t even function well at all on its own, and almost have to bring a specific setup weapon for charging, in which case the weapon can almost do better job at AMD than the ability can, for function, when having to setup something for charging it anyways.
I’d rather it go back to how it was before in all ways, personally.
Also the LoS check seems badly implemented, and reminds me of the OG LoS checks that were jank, that they gave to Khora’s Whipclaw and others. The first iteration of the LoS check I mean, that had horrible hit detection.

To be honest that's my biggest problem with frame build videos is every content creator has a different build that does this or that, and you can never pick the right one. Also doesn't help each one uses different polarities so why you use a certain amount of forma for one there are others that use less forma or even more forma. I suppose what I'm trying to say is the content creators aren't to blame but more likely the game itself is to blame because of the way forma works. I kinda understand why it's the way it is but it's so hard finding great builds when they all use different stuff, so you gotta spend more forma to switch that polarity and that means going all the way to rank 30 all over again.... unless I'm missing something which I possibly could be.
Either way bottom line is this build is great and I'll try it, I just wish the game could treat forma differently especially on frames. Apologies for the long comment and for it barely making any sense.

She's a weapon platform and shes as good as the weapons u put on her. She's soo much fun to play. Every time i test a new build, i end up playing for like 3 hours at a stretch. I've never done this with any other frame.
Honestly, I think she's a bit of both. Spamming 1 and 4 really enhances how well she performs imo, but she is also reliant on weapons to complete challenges efficiently, but even without full elemental coverage from your weapons, if you just spam 1 between attacks/shots you are gonna apply the elements required for the challenges regardless

The only things I would change is her first ability does not have a limit the only limit u have is ur range and the duration goes up because its to short then second ability cooldown starts when u get one decree and the thied ability remove the cool down part
Interesting thing about her abilities is that they can animation cancel like breach surge. If you have a slow reload speed, you can negate the reload animation by casting and it doesnt negate the reload process. Basically, you can now do something and damage your enemies even if you are reloading. They are also good anti-knock down cancellers if you time your casts when you are about to be knocked down by say the fire eximus, or by the blast aoe of any weapon like the trumna alt fire.
I think DE missed out on a HUGE opportunity. They could have made her subsumed ability Omikuji (2) instead of Omamori (3). This would have made intrinsics available to ANY warframe via the helminth. We can only dream. 😁

Im really liking koumei after playing for a while. I just wished she was a bit more synergistic, her 3rd scaling better, her 1 and 4 being good together... That kind of things

Was skimming through the secondary page on the wiki, looking for a secondary for her to use and saw the Hystrix Prime. That thing can force proc any of the base elements on command. Should be a good option for doing the "affected by X status effect" challenges, if you want more flexibility when it comes to elements on your other weapons.
A thing I've really liked having with her is a predasite personally, it's a really good companion to use the mecha set with because the decrees she gets comboing with armor, an arcane battery to go with it, and to top it off it exposes enemies to finishers so I don't have to worry about how to trigger it without using helminth (on the real, this is what her wires should have done I like the finisher decrees but I don't like that their is so few ways to trigger them)
I literally just got the game because of my friend and got her because of how sick she looks I love the whole ancient Chinese styling she has in appearance and marionette gimmick so sick. Hopefully they don’t change her she seems like the most fun and unique character at least the one I’ve latched onto.
Great video. I personally fall more in line with those people who think Koumei is good and a great addition to the game.
The way I play Warframe, my general approach to the game, my general style, and what Warframes and weapons I generally and traditionally use, meant that I picked up on her fast. Like when I see people who claim she is weak, useless, to be soon forgotten about, etc, and then I see how they play her, and what they consider good and bad in Warframe, it starts to make a bit more sense, because I think they are playing her against her strengths and or in a way that she wasn't designed for. Which can be the case with many Warframes. Which is like fair... people have preferences, but there is also a skill in identifying a characters kit and potential as well as synergies. I also don't really mind if such people request buffs, and improvements, because I am already content and happy with Koumei as is, but I'd be more than happy if she received some buffs, QOL, etc too.
I find her kit in fast multiplayer missions, whelming. Not underwhelming, just whelming. I also actually think, and I know this is an unpopular idea, but I think she is a good "beginner" Warframe. The way I interpret what DE means, by beginner friendly, is... you can get her on Earth... So in a way she is a bit like Gara. Do beginners know how to stack increasing damage with Gara or nuke rooms, or create Steel Path builds with Gara? Not really, but there is a button you can use for Defence, and some buttons that you can press and it will kill things, so whilst more experienced players will know she shines in endurance, she is accessible to new players too. Most Warframes tend to be, in a basic way, so its about the accessibility. That was my interpretation at least.
Maybe its also because I really liked Duviri and spent a lot of time theory crafting Decrees, but even with the omission of some of my favourite Decrees, Koumei's potential is staggering. My fav type of Warframe. is solo endurance between roughly 60 to 300 minutes, in Disruption, Survival, Alchemy, Cascade etc. My general KPM with Koumei can get really high, even with really casual chill runs, because Decrees like Double Crit Damage, Double Status Damage, as well as the many others... Also, she turns many of my favourite, less powerful weapons, into endurance capable weapons. Like she can turn single target weapons like Daikyu or Exergis into AOE mob clearers. Plus weapons like Tigris and Kuva Hek, with the Magazine increase Decrees?
Like you demonstrate in this video though, you have to actually consciously care about what weapons you use, and how you build them. Like you have opportunity to get Cold and Corrosive on your guns, for free... Plus Gundition overload builds should be a natural choice, and when you start considering your build that way, well with enough time, you can get monstrously powerful. You'll hit your strength cap, Acolytes will be melted and one shot by weapons that may not usually one shot them, enemy Necramechs will be frozen and shredded in seconds, Thrax enemies will be melted even faster.
The other thing is, solo players who know why and which parts of maps are going to be conductive to Koumei's play style and strengths, will also benefit much more, than people who don't care and just randomly run about in any map. Koumei's CC is great, and greatly assists her survivability. I only run Arcane Blessing on her, and with her 3, thats enough to keep me alive. I actually like her 3 a little bit more than Mesmer skin, because I cast it less, and I use mobility with her a lot as well. When I see people trying to nuke with Koumei in large rooms, like she is Dante or Saryn, I mean... I get why they will get underwhelmed.
Anyway, I'm personally happy with them, and I can see Koumei , probably entering my top ten most used/played within the year. Some fine tuning could be nice. From what I heard, the Decrees will have a tendency to want to complete, and some I think can be a detriment, so I would like if we could get a choice... Or the suggestion about when the cool down starts, but even if those don't happen I will probably clock in a lot of time on her.

Koumei is Koumei. She isn't Saryn, Revenant, or any of the other cheese frames people compare her to. She is Lady Luck. The Strummer of Fate. RNG incarnate. Honestly, most TH-camrs hate her first ability, but that's because it's used wrong. It's not a set and forget ability. You cast it over and over again. Her second ability is great for SP Circuit, SP Endless missions, and Arbitrations. Everywhere else, you won't need it. It's her primary choice to place a Helminth ability. Her third ability is great minus the three second cooldown between charms spent. Just use Rolling Guard during those cooldowns and you will be safe. Her fourth ability is great for large clear areas. Crowd control, status application, and damage? You can't go wrong. The only thing that brings it down is the long casting animation and it can't be reapplied to affected targets. Koumei loves Status/Crit hybrid weapons that have Condition Overload/Status Affected Galvanized mods equipped on it. Her passive is one of the best in the game. For Acolytes, just have a High Crit/High Damage weapon in her loadout to take care of them. Koumei's base kit is SP viable. Helminth options are just for quality of life and nothing more.
I've watched ALOT of the koumei videos other creators have made (including the ones that hated her, and thought she should be a nuke frame) you are the very first one I've seen that mentioned her 3 heals shields to... it's actually quite nice, although fine as a defensive ability and when u do get the 666 rolls u can just terminator tank for a while...

I use her 1 ability as an extra Shield builder and it does help prime up enemies for the Ocucor as a a statue based power. Ocucor with her is almost broken. Can finish a lot of the decrees in under 5 seconds, and it grows insane with a lot of her Decrees. The headshot one is probably my hardest to complete. have to headshot people with the Cedo.
I think the issue with the discourse around Koumei is that both sides are kind of right: Koumei is a powerful frame when you build her correctly, but it is also true that there are several other frames that do what she does for much less effort. It's more of a problem with other frames than Koumei herself, the level of power available to frames that are also extremely easy to play makes it so that, if you are grading performance on pure efficacy (damage / survivability for effort required) Koumei will lose to Revenant, Saryn, Dante, etc... When easy frames are powerful, no matter how good other frames are, any extra modicum of effort the other frames take will make them seem worse by comparison. It's a race to the bottom.
All Koumei needs I feel like is an augment that she reduces the cooldown to the decrees ability with kills.
The strange thing I find is that on some of the decrees you have AOE for regular weapons, 500% attack speed, 100% crit damage, 100% status damage, 20% damage for just having enemies with status effects, refreshing overguard, knockdown immunity, +4 range and unmixing electric on your melee weapons, like 2 different second hit abilities, melee duplicate on any melee, and a bunch more and some how people still say her decrees suck.
Like fair, parkour is bad, but most of them I feel you can make use out of if you just open your mind a tad and try to use them
I personally think her 3 still needs some change, like keep the 50/50 chance but lower the internal cooldown at least. and on the subsume ability, keep the 3 seconds icd
When you get a chance you should take her into sp circuit. I'm actually very curious on how much she will scale with the doubled Decrees.
Why did you change the catalyzing shield mod and the 1st skill for 44 shield capacity?
I think the issue with your demonstration of the decree challenges is that, in any group setting anymore, most your group mates literally walk around instantly disintegrating everything on the map by simply existing in their general vicinity. So getting kills at all alongside shit like that happening is a challenge. It's something I notice even just trying to proc all my primary merciless stacks so I'm actually doing damage in the first place.
I think that's why the community as a whole is just not vibing with her. The meta these days is afk nuking everything and she can't really do that so she's handicapped off the rip. I don't know how people can say they enjoy the game when they aren't doing anything more than jumping around and pressing one or two buttons every 30 seconds but whatever.

I would just make two changes. FIrst: Her 2 should allow us to chose between three decrees (like in duviri), some agency would feel nice... Second the cooldown should start when the ability is triggered OR the cooldown cap is 30 seconds max...2 and a half minutes is ridiculous.
Several questions that you may or may not have answered in the video (if you did I am sorry I got the attention span of a gnat). Anywho,
1.) Power Drift over PSF; I thought myself about doing this bc "hey you can roll the decree" but that's like a 1 in like 45 chance? I also agree with the play around her decrees stance you have, but at the same time unless you only play her in very long endurance missions you can't bank on getting a specific one in a quick mission where you might only get a few and getting knocked down seems like a death penality. Is it worth the tradeoff?
2.) When I was getting back into WF a week or so ago, I followed someone else's' guide on Reddit who swore her 1 was her bread and butter and you should spam it and play grouping Naut and melee pull arcane, which is what I have been running with, I wanna know why sometimes they hit 500k then sometimes they hit like a 553. not k just 553 lol. ik it's a roll based on the dice but that seems way too big of a variance. it's okay if you dont know bc you dont seem to like that ability.
3.) How often does Naut get the kills itself in higher level missions to trigger contagious bond? (I think we are using same wep basically, except I'm using hellstrum instead of verglas)
4.) going off of question 2, the build is mostly the same but this has PSF, Equilibrium, and FE instead of Power Drift, Energy Nexus, and U. Intensify (and arcanes and the Naut build is slightly diff, like synth deconstruct to make use of equilibrium, and im using 2 cast speed, 1 shield on blast, and 2 ability damage on corrosive shards) but would you say that build is "wrong" or just a different way to play her? I personally have been enjoying it but do feel there's room for improvement. She instantly rocketed to my favorite frame and just really want to get the most out of her, but at the same time I've grown kind of attached to 1 spam build lol.

1: it's very much up to you, I don't use PSF on any warframes because I don't enjoy it much (it's a personal preference thing) You can definitely add it over power drift, its more consistent if you find yourself getting knocked more.
2: I genuinely don't know 0_0 500k you're hitting?? maybe you are hitting triple 6's and that's causing it? but yea that's way to big of a variance, I see you do give the build at point 4, so im going to test it
3: quite often actually, especially with a heat setup, for example, if the companion deals the 1st heat dot to an enemy, it gets "ownership" of the heat stack, so if you add onto that heat stack and the enemy dies, it counts towards a kill for the nautilus, so as an example if you do a late game high ability strength 4 with koumei and it kills an enemy, it counts for the sentinel

Would the build for the Dual Toxocyst be the same? I don't have the Knell Prime, so I just farmed the Toxocyst and it's Incarnon upgrade. However, I'm not sure which mods or which Incarnon upgrades to take.
Also thanks for the guide! I came back to Warframe for Koumei and got slightly demotivated, because I've read so many negative opinions about her. I thought for multiple days now if I should really put all that work into her or just choose another character I enjoy. Your video motivated me to stay with my choice and actually build her. I really love this Frame!
I feel like you can keep her strength at 100% and replace the two strength mods with shield recharge delay mods so shield gating is a bit more reliable as some decrees give free casts and will mess with brief respite, also maybe replace rolling gaurd with the mod that gives -75% status duration on self and spec more into 175% range as duration isnt really needed either

Also I really like that point that you made about not liking the nova rework because it feels like it was made for people who don't play nova. it's why I don't like when people who can't appreciate the base kit of frames like vauban or valkyr shouldn't be clamoring for a rework. To them, the entire kit is beneath regard when to me and many others there's simply things we want fixed or things we want buffed not whole mechanics changed and baby out with the bathwater style of overhauls
The largest issue I have with gamble girl is the 10% chance of her abilities doing the thing I want them to do
There’s also the fact that her 1 and 4 have a wonky interaction. You want enemies walking through her stings, but her 4 causes enemies to be ccd, I’m still of the firm belief these should be one ability where the tap cc and the hold spawns stings, specifically targeting those affected by the tap but still throws them around
Overall, I just find the gameplay loop of koumei to be lackluster and not fun. But I can also understand that peeps love her so keep gambling homies 😁

I've been thinking Swooping Miasma sucks because when Duviri came out I tried to figure out how to get the viral status to proc for 2 waves straight, and I realized it only worked on ONE enemy at a time, and only when I made perfect contact with a "jump kick". I decided it wasn't ever worth picking over just about anything else, so I haven't tried it since it was introduced... Did DE change it to a Nourish like viral explosion? Is it only like that for Koumei? Or am I just missing something?

I've just started using her and she seems bad for new players, but in endrlurance she's wild.

I like Koumei too, I'm not that skilled at handling her, nor do I have good aim (I think I aim for the head but I end up shooting everywhere XD), so some decrees are difficult for me, due to the player's lack of skill, not the character's.
I've kept all of her skills, I consider the first one to be quite good. I don't rely on shield gating because I'm very forgetful and sometimes I forget to spend energy XD, but you've given me ideas regarding weapons and companions, when it comes to helping carry out decrees.
Maybe, could be made a build with her that would be useful or a bit more suitable for anything other than endurance missions? I'm not talking about turning her into a Volt or a Titania making relics at the speed of light, but maybe replacing skill 2 with another one that doesn't require so much control of what she kills, especially when we're in a squad. I'm just asking, as I already said, I keep her entire kit, and I like it a lot that way.
Yea thats 100%, if the decrees are a bit difficult thats perfectly understandable, thats why I mentioned the marketing was flawed imo, not everyone has been playing for ages like a lot of the cc's, I have a build for her for quick missions where I actually completely remove her decrees, because for the quicker missions you don't need it, it's another flexibility I like about her, I am going to share all of this when I do her full breakdown video :)

Akarius takes care of airbone and wall latch kills in an instant. U dont even need to aim, just jump or wall latch and shoot.
I dont need to tell u how good Nataruk is, even for the 20m away kills. Perfect shots can even give you multiple headshots with the right grouping scenario.
I play Koumei with Sickening Puls on her 1 or Breach surge on her 2 with Ocucor. With a lot strength she is s status monster

Yea i suspect that my Nova opinions will be a bit controversial to say the least, i'll make a video on it soon :) It's clear that people are enjoying the rework, but I have played her a long time and things like neutral being gone from her kit, the internal cooldowns and reduced scaling on things like antimatter made her feel weird to me, but again, thats just an opinion I have and there are a few other ones as well but don't want the comment to be too long, bottom line is, if the majority are happy with her in current state, then thats cool I have no problem with that, just feels slightly alienating, but there are many other frames for me, so no real big issue :)

Also……I still dont see why they have so many HARD caps on her abilities compared to how much they allow other frames and weps to scale damage wise.
Not that she is weak……but just feels bad with damage limits, speed limits, LoS limits……like they are trying to balance her for a different game.
No when you cancel the decree. Its supposed to be kinda like a punishment. Not just a cooldown, changing that wouldnt make sense
The problem with her as a weapon platform is that there are a ton of weapons platforms that give more than she does. A hound as a primer combined with any other weapons platform frame (Rhino, Revenant, Volt, Wisp, Zephyr to name a few that function better as platforms than Koumei) will outperform her.
Her niche, I think, is that she's the earliest in the game you can access priming to synergise with Condition overload or the galvanised mods. She's not the best at it, but she's an early way into the playstyle.
I actually like the decrees, i think they're fun. I just wish you more choice on which ones you get, like the circuit functions.
Whilst I respect staying away from other creators to get your own perspective on a frame/build; it does leave you open to misinterpretation of their criticisms.
Literally no-one thinks her decree challenges are hard in solo play. The issue is trying to get 40+ wall latch kills in a squad using melee influence, ability nukes, saryn acid shells, etc etc.
The problem isn't that she is a bad frame, but all her abilities have design and synergy problems that could very easily have been avoided and would make her 10x better to play without making her significantly stronger.
For example her 1 would be better if range and duration scaled its base to a set number of charges, strings spawned to the capped number (presumably for performance or visual clutter reasons which I totally get) but would spawn a fresh one within range of Koumei once triggered, consuming a stored charge.
Her 2 would benefit from the change you discussed: but honestly I'd prefer it to have 2 cooldowns one for accepting a challenge (capped at 240s) and one for rejecting a challenge (standard 80s) but have both cooldowns scale with efficiency. And then have the ability reveal the decree with the challenge so you could reject decrees you don't want for a minimized 20s cooldown penalty.
Her 3 kinda needs the internal cooldown to be balanced but it would be nice if the activation percentage could scale with strength up to say 90% to make it more reliable.
Her 4 should really be 360 by default. I also like the hold/tap function someone else mentioned. And then the triple 6 could be damage vuln per status inflicted rather than just increasing the stack count which is lacklustre given the ability is secretly hard-coded to cluster then anyway.
On the whole I think her design is really great, the concept behind the skills fun and engaging; but the only ability I look at without some sense of "this could be so much better without being so much stronger" is her passive...

Honestly the divide I see is solo vs team play. The update you have assists count would of helped a long way, but DE messed it up.
Solo play she's strong, Honestly the strongest thing about her kit is her passive.
She also has massive dissynergy with her kit, that people just keep ignoring. The gameplay above showed next to no use of her 4, amd her first was subsumed. You have to rely on weapons to kill with status? Where he 1 and 4 is rng staus apply. You know rolling the dice with the dice madian.
Think this frame needed more time to cook, people are blinded by omg decrees are broken! The rest of her skills is lacking (though I do like the charms). Kinda like one of my favourite frames, equinox with terrify, her 4 is the best room clear in the game, the rest of her skills (bar 1st, you know her identity) succ.

She's fun but i disagree on her viability especially when compared to other frames. The only reasons to choose her is priming, which pets can do for you now, seeing dice roll, and her decrees (which are much better in Duviri where they can make use of intrinsics and being able to pick decrees).
Those reasons aside why would i ever use koumei. It was laughable how much quicker i did things when i swapped to other frames like Kullervo, New Nova, Saryn, Voruna with new argument ect.
Koumei sadly will collect dust for me until she at the bare minimum has her decree ability function as it does in Duviri and without that insane scaling cool down that punishes you even when you complete a challenge.
I doubt her decrees will get the duviri scaling, if they do she will get nuked off the planet, that would rocket her up to being the strongest frame bar none, ofcoarse it would be fun as hell to have that kinda scaling from intrinsics but DE would nerf that as quick as they implement it. and I mean thats perfectly fine, I have no illusions that she is for everyone, she is niche as hell :)

But there's so much I'd do to change her or could see changed about her i even made a gigantic lengthy buff/tweak post under some other videos about it.

And Octavia who can literally make the game play itself from level 1 to level cap. Provided you are willing to tire your finger out spamming crouch.
Koumei will never have the ease of power they do even with all the buffs in the world. You also gotta keep in mind she will accrue decrees slower in groups naturally too. Shes competing in kills with frames like Voruna, Sevagoth and Saryn who can nuke rooms through walls before koumei can even get the enemy in her LOS.
She definitely shines in solo endurance runs but feels lackluster outside of that one situation imo. I could go into detail about her kit but it's probably too long for anyone to bother to read it lol.

Nah, while I can see she's strong in endurance runs, koumeis issues show themselves in squad play. In solo play you have the control of the battlefield, you can play your minigame in peace and control.
In a squad however, obviously her kill speed is significantly lower cos she's playing a mini game all her own. Other people have the ability to see red dot, kill red dots without any extra hoops. The times I see koumei in a squad, in survial, she's not saying in the room, cos the squad is killing too fast. As stated above, she needs to be able to control her kills to be effective.
And yes koumeis best part of her kit, is her passive, it's loaded. But imagine the situations where your decree is wall latch kills, kill with headshots, while your melee is buffed.
Koumei has so much dissynergy in her kit, I'm convinced they rushed her. So when the community is very clearly divided on her, they are both Wright, she is both amazing, a new fresh playstyle, but also a fodder frame, that needs ti,e to ramp up. Again the difference of solo and team play is very clearly the main issue of the polarising opinions.
Koumei isn't for me, I tried, but I dislike her I'm squad play, that's OK though, if other people love her, that's the point, play what you enjoy.
Well in my humble opinion koemei is only build specific for the co and gun co mods she is a secondary encumber frame period
