I remember the Sacramento River, I was sticking my toes in the water and suddenly a giant wide ass dark looking fish with maybe whiskers came up to my toes like it was gonna attack me and I ran so quick back to shore. I then seen a giant wide ass fish jump out of the water. Big enough to devour a bus full of people.
You need to see a feeding and you'll see why they do not eat those cichlids they get fed very well I mean they don't skimp on the food that's for darn sure oh IFR is one of the best rescues out there
i tell people about how catfish are capable of eating men and even can work as a school to pull you further and further underwater until you drown and die. theyre very intelligent creatures

hey Rich the tank with the light on it that has the eel in it is the light on the outside of the tank it looks to be if so I'm assuming it has to have a wire or something in the tank for the eel to be able to charge it correct. I wish I lived closer to you because I'd be trying to work with you even though I know you got your family team lol😅 I've had fish tanks for about 15 years saltwater and fresh just to say a few nurse sharks I've had many of the cat sharks octopus cuttlefish stonefish lionfish frogfish stingrays all sorts of corals.
Its a fly river turtle from Australia very rare extremely expensive they are fresh water and live similar to sea turtle only coming onto land to lay eggs a baby can cost up to 10k

It would be interesting to learn if the amount of red color in the Arapaima is due to the individual genetics of the fish or to the species of the fish or some other factor or characteristic of the fish. The idea that Snakehead fish are invasive in the United States or most other places, outside of oxygen deficient waters is total ridiculous.This claim is most likely due to politics or corruption or both but definitely not to the facts. This is proven by the fact that; 1) Snskehead fish have been raised in ponds containing trout for experimental or commercial reasons. There is reason to believe Snakehead fish could be raised with Channel Catfish producing successful commercial endeavors for both products. 2) Fishing for black bass and other species of fish has improved in the Potomac River and its tributaries and in Central and South Florida since the Snakehead fish has been introduced in those areas. The range of Snakehead fish have continued to spread but they have a multitude of piscivorous animals that eat snakehead fish. The spread is probably due to the many areas in lakes, creeks, sloughs, rivers, bayous and ponds that have areas where the water is oxygen deficient. 3) Snakehead fish were the first foreign fish introduced in Hawaii and the native fish population suffered no extinctions. Almost all the foreign fish, including pet hobby fish and commercial food or sport fish were introduced over a 100 years later and now have thriving populations. 4) Snakehead fish introductions did not adversely affect native fish population in Japan including native trout. 5) After decades of established introduced snakehead fish populations (at least one species of snakehead fish is native to Japan) foreign fish populations, including trout, salmon, channel catfish,, black bass, and other sunfish) were established in Japan. 5) Black Bass and other Sunfish introductions were shown to eliminate Snakehead fish from some lakes and ponds while reducing numbers of snakehead fish in other bodies of water in Japan. 6) Introduced cichlid populations, especially Speckled Pavon, aka Emperor Peacock Bass (Cichla temensis) and Mayan Cichlid aka Atomic Perch (Mayaheros urophthalmus), have reduced Snakehead fish, particularly "open water" snakehead fish, as opposed to "backwater" (oxygen deficient water) snakehead fish species which includes the delicious and medicinally therapeutic Chevon Snakehead fish aka Murrel (Channa striata]. "Open water" snkehead fish need open water rather than swampy or "backwater" to do well and survive i.e. Giant Killer Red Snakehead fish, aka Toman (Channa micropeltes), etc. This situation, due to the cichlid introduction, has reduced snakehead populations to almost to endangered population levels in a relatively short time.

My local fish and pond store has a 5000 gallon Amazon tank with all of the enormous beasts. Its wonderful.
