Who am I kidding, one handed backhands are the only reason I keep watching tennis. Also, that rally at 1:51 is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen!!!
so totally agree. One handed backhand is the only thing that can keep tennis alive and appealing. Pure beauty. Aesthetics, skills and panache above all! Specially above the cowardly stable, unchanging, lame, easy double handed backhand ;-) Came here for that 1:51 rally, real masterpiece . Just As Richie's Backhand will define tennis by itself for decades ;-)
I'm no more than a casual player but my dad taught me to play with a one-handed backhand and I've kept it my whole life. It's much more technically difficult than the two-hander but it feels so much better to play, and makes doing difficult shots like the backhand overhead smash significantly easier. A two-handed backhand is just a slightly refined clubbing motion, whereas the one-hander is a beautiful arc. I always love watching Stan, Roger, Grigor or Richard for this reason. One handed backhands are beautiful to watch.
Hari Govind gasquet has less backswing, and relies on precision more than power. Wawrinka puts huge amounts of topspin in his forehand, and uses his power more than any thing else. That's the reason why wawrinka is successful on slower courts and gasquet is successful on faster courts
Will Wawrinka ever win Wimbledon? It would be nice, especially even if he never gets to Number 1, simply because it would be unheard of for someone to win all 4 Majors and yet never get Number 1. That could be an interesting legacy.
Alex de Lesseps never say never. Some people said Nadal would never win the other slams, and look what happened. As long as he continues to develop his game, he has a chance. These pros don’t just enter a tournament thinking they have no chance. Even if it’s a small chance that the draw opens up, they go for it. The courts are fast, but it’s not impossible. It’s just incredibly hard.
I learned to play tennis using a single-handed backhand back in the 70's. To this day I root for whomever has the single-handed backhand. The prettiest shot in tennis. In my opinion - Justine Henin had the best - man or woman.
I think Wawrinka has the better cross-court backhand while Gasquet has the better down-the-line backhand. While Federer in his 30's has the most well-rounded & versatile backhand.
Double handed BH is so ugly to watch. Single Handed BH so beautiful. In my opinion, 1. Stan 2. Gasquet 3. RF They got most beautiful single handed BH. If RF would have single hand BH like Stan and Gasquet, He would have won nearly 30 GS by now
There is nothing more pleasant than a perfect one-handed backhand
just one thing, two perfect one-handed backhand in a rally
Nah. I would rather watch some clay court topspin.
Especially at Wimbledon
@@tennisfan599 boring! Not me
Absolutely!!
The two greatest one handed backhands in the game going at it, absolutely beautiful.
Hands down two of the most Beautiful Backhanders in the game :)
Justine Henin...
Roger Federer...

Sensational match and utterly sensational highlights as well, for the first time by Wimbledon
Stan’s shot at 2:40 really displays the beauty and power that a single handed backhand can produce if executed almost perfectly. So amazing to watch!
1:55 to 2:10 , that specifies the title of this video. Damn those backhand angles were amazing...
i agree. it was like they were painting a picture on grass together.
the time they were lazy to hit dtl 😁
They are not celebrating at all! After these unbelievable shots! Amazing guys
This is how tennis should be played.
1:52 - 2:20 is the definition of the perfect backhand.

i love players with a beautiful one handed backhand, such a joy to watch
super power backhand VS super technical backhand
Whats the difference ? I fail to spot how they are that different except maybe Gasquet has more backswing.

Cool thanks
Hari Govind Thanks for your explanation. I wrote the wrong information.
Anuj:Hey Anuj,Gasquet plays with more spin as Wawrinka.
Wow, great highlights, Wimbledon! Love the backhands so much, and the variety as well.
I miss Stan... ;(
That Gasquet's backhand at 1:00 is just unique for him xD.
I love their backhand.
Absolutely perfect style
How many people came here mostly for their Awesome Backhands???
i love these backhands
Los dos mejores reveses del circuito!!
One handed backhands should be made mandatory.
No
@@aspiknfwhy not, if basketball can ban dribbling with 2 hands, tennis can certainly ban the ugly 2 handed backhand
GENIUS BACKHAND
Waw has the most effective and successful backhand but Gasquet has the best looking one
Yes and I would add : Waw the most powerful and Gasquet the most complete
Central court for Gasquet everytime please

Every one of these shots deserved a close up replay

I love one handed backhand players
Hands down the best one-handed backhands in the game.
best match ever
これぞ至高のバックハンド対決って感じ♥
Watching this makes me want the ATP to outlaw the two handed backhand.
3:38 qu'est-ce que c'est beau de voir de tel joueurs réussir d'aussi beau revers. Merci à eux
3:38 3:38
Who is this 1 person who disliked it...
1:51 absolute gold
Who will we have in the future...? : (
Longer highlights pleAse
1:10 everyone would have used the forehand
hes more comfortable with his backhand then forehand
Sorry but the.end of the match where is? Mah, I just cannot understand such things
Un disfrute de reveses cual de los 2 mejor
Is it just me or does Gasquet's upper body look longer than his lower body lol
fact
@@petershearman5098 Consequently he doesnt appear as tall as he actually is at 1.83m.
magical

Wawrinka's signature shot is the down-the-line backhand. He has more winners in that particular shot compared to other one handers.
The Best
Who has the best single backhand? Gasquet, Wawrinka, or Federer?
MWMW/とみー Wawrinka has the best power and accuracy but Gasquets stroke is just incredible
I’d say Federer’s Neo backhand from 2017 was the best I’ve ever seen
MWMW/とみー,this video decides who wins:
th-cam.com/video/9g0zn8X9PMk/w-d-xo.html
Justine Henin:-)
Clément Triboulet agreed;)
Me gusta mucho el revés de wawrinka por potencia, luego me gusta el de federer por el gran slice que también posee y el tercero seria el de gasquet
スライスの時インパクトの瞬間まで分からんかったスゲェ
😍😍😍 Quanta bellezza!
What if Richie and gasquet do cut through doubles against fed?
Is there a better backhand than Wawrinka's in tennis history?? I really don't think so.
Right bro
My Christmas wish a one handed backhand
djoko lucky not to meet wawrinka again in wimbledon
Best single backhands
Wawrinka
Kuerten
Gasquet
Kuerten?😂😂😂
Gaudio's was good as well
i consider one handed backhand to be more manly, this is creating a huge surge of testosterone.
Double handed BH is so ugly to watch. Single Handed BH so beautiful. In my opinion,
1. Stan
2. Gasquet
3. RF
They got most beautiful single handed BH. If RF would have single hand BH like Stan and Gasquet, He would have won nearly 30 GS by now
If nadal had djokovic`s BH he would too.
I don't think I saw a single forehand winner...
The real winner of this match was Djokovic lol
Ben Faulkner
Coz he got to play Gasquet instead of his nemesis Wawrinka.
Gasquet chokes in the semis
Stan was the better player. Sadly he didn't come in nearly as much as Gasquet. He would have been fantastic at net and maybe won a couple.
1:51 !?!?
I prefered this than rallies on clay...
I federer had a backhand like this
“I don’t trust ... 0:22”
Djokovic should thank Gasquet that beat Wawrinka in QF.
Wawrinka would have given Federer 2015 Title....beating Gassy and Djok. Sad not happen.
Wow
If dribbing with 2 hands is banned in basketball, no reason why this ugly 2 handed backhand cannot be banned in tennis
Double handed BH is so ugly to watch to be honest. No art. ND / RN both are ugly to watch in double handed BH.
lol not a single forehand winner was shown in the highlights
gasquet doesn't pull the trigger on his backhand often enough.
lol good one
yeah his not as aggressive as stan on the backhand , but when he pulls the trigger his deadly
99 pour cent des joueurs ne peuvent pas faire ça...
Wish Stan had won this match, Gasquet was useless against Djokovic.
Onmysheet Because they killed each other. Wawrinka could have been a more difficult rival but Djokovic was likely to win either.
Gasquet mediocre tennis player
