    I have this exact same car, but cannot hear my indicators ticking, which I find a little frustrating. Is there a way to turn up their volume?

    Does the Bluetooth just do calls/messages or can it play music from your phone too?

    • @knn3th
      @knn3th 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can play music from your phone's storage, as well as play from something like Spotify or Apple Music. Works with both Android as iOS.

    will automatically dim the headlights until the car passes??

    FYI...wrong info on the fog light. Yes, pulling the selector turns on THE fog light, but its just a single, very bright, red, REAR fog light. Rear fog lights are required in Europe, not so much here in the States. In my opinion, in the States they're more an annoyance. Few owners of European cars know they have a rear fog light and almost all don't know how to turn it off after unknowingly turning it on. Don't be that guy!

    My 2013 Porsche Cayman 981. When I press the phone I get the message PHONE NOT AVAILABLE, but I have the phone buttons on my PCM . Is it possible that my car does not have BLUETOOTH ? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    Once you remove the ignition key how do you lock the steering wheel?

    • @verygood7155
      @verygood7155 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong. There is no steering lock. Also the only fog light on the car is in the rear.

    • @Baerchenization
      @Baerchenization 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      But of course there is a steering wheel lock. If yours doesn't work, you should visit your dealership...
      Btw, there is a Porsche produced video owners' manual, which you can get through the "Good to Know"-App; I believe you can also find it on TH-cam, ca 30 minutes or so. On the app, you can watch it as a movie, or access the features one by one. The printed owners manual is a lot more detailed than the Good To Know manual, but most practical things are in there.

      The steering wheel has no lock at least on American cars. I called a few dealerships and they confirmed it. You obviously aren't familiar with the American version. @@Baerchenization

      @@verygood7155 I am not sure anymore what I had in mind asking this, since it is so long ago. I just materially re-watched this and it seems he does not talk about the ignition at all (?)
      Anyway: I don't pay too much attention to this, so I just checked what the steering does when I actually pull the key :) It locks in position. I do not share your opinion, though. Does it have a steering lock? Yes and no ;) For starters, it does not have a steering column, so there is nothing to lock to begin with. The 981 steering is electronic. Also, since it does not have a steering column, the ignition lock isn't even in the traditional place on the steering, it is on the dash; inserting the fob does not actuate anything in the traditional/mechanical sense. So no, it does not have a steering lock, but of course it locks the steering, probably by breaking power to the force feedback motor of the steering, or some such solution. Of course the US and Euro cars will be the same to that end.

      @@Baerchenization If a car thief hot wired the car and got it running then the unlocked steering wheel wouldn't prevent the car from being driven away. Having an actual locked steering wheel prevents someone from driving away in the car.
