Fun list. I visited Valleyfair for only one day, but I got well over twenty rides on Renegade, and I’d rank that GCI over a lot of coasters you placed above it.
It's amazing how a lot of enthusiasts can rank every single roller coaster they've ridden. I've ridden at least 170 to this day and I can only tell you my top three for sure. They would be Millennium Force at Cedars Point followed by Superman: The Ride at Six Flags New England and Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa to be exact.
I don't think I know a definitive answer. The reason why you may have stomach dropping feelings on a roller coaster may be because of the G-Forces the ride can exhibit. When you're going down a large drop for example, you will experience negative Gs which will cause your body to feel weightless, floaty, and or cause your body to lift from the seat (that is by design, the restraints will keep you secure) As a result of this your stomach will experience these forces as well. Avoiding large drops that are steep could resolve this. However in my experience riding large coasters, I have been able to develop a "tolerance" for the g forces since my body is used to experiencing them. Not that I myself dislike the forces on the rides, I actually enjoy the stomach dropping and G force sensations, but I know it's not for everyone. If you ride the same roller coasters over and over again you will develop a tolerance for them. The other reason for a stomach dropping feeling could just be anticipation. On a roller coaster, you body is pumping adrenaline, which will produce a lot of energy in you, but because you're strapped into a ride not being able to move a lot, all that energy will remain inside of you and produce anticipation for the ride. Did you visit the 4h building at the MN State Fair last summer? There was a display called Valleyfair new coaster.
