I don’t mind a coaster that’s a bit rough but it’s layout to me is too boring. I hope they retrack it more and maybe even expand its layout an out and back extension that goes behind the theater and interacts with the rapids would be great. It needs more wooded environment
Anaconda is my favorite, lol. I don’t know why so many people hate on it, but I’ve never experienced the neck shaking and I’ve gone on it every time I go. It’s definitely up there for me
I just went last week and I actually greatly preferred I305 in the back row. I didn’t find it to be rough at all, but it is much more intense. Plus, you get very strong airtime on that first drop
Hi! Love your channel. Really glad your kids can begin to ride some of these coasters with you. When my son was young and began to be able to ride, it became one of our favorite father-son things to do. So wonderful! I just made my first visit to KD a couple of weeks ago, late July. Torrid, steamy weather, and it took some fortitude to endure a whole day at this and many other parks. Yet, KD really impressed me, much more than I would have thought. My informal ranking of the rides is very similar to yours, with just a couple of minor swaps (I really enjoy Reptilian!). My impressions overall were quite similar on almost every ride. I do have a couple opinions that vary a bit, though. 1 - Grizzly - yeah, it was EXTREMELY rough - I instinctively grabbed the back seat, and quickly regretted my decision to ride at all. It felt like the track was actually missing in some places, or that shards of the steel plates were about to pierce the floor of the cars and impale me from from the bottom. I was almost panicking that serious injury was assured. I was really happy to exit with no more that black and blue marks. BUT - my general sense is that this ride has really good bones. When I was able to pay attention to the elements rather than the pain, I detected some fine airtime moments, laterals, and interesting track profiles. I believe that, given a SOLID retracking along the original profile, or better yet some Titan Track in at least the critical sections, might improve this coaster dramatically and possibly even improve it to the "good" category. I could see myself enjoying this ride as much as Dominator if the ride were just smoother. 2 - I305 - no doubt a super intense ride. I got three rides on it that day, and all left me very impressed. At age 63, intensity is not my favorite feature of a coaster any more, but I can appreciate it when it does not beat me up. I305 is a terrific ride and certainly did not beat me up; in fact, after the first ride allowed me to learn the layout, I felt "Hey, this isn't too bad - I could do this all day." My first two rides were in the morning when I was relatively fresh and hydrated, and I got both a front and back seat ride. Neither was problematic, with only a hint of grayout around the first turn below the drop. Otherwise, this ride quickly took a place in my top 10% of rides. Really super fun. Overall, I think this ride treats its riders quite well...I did not feel beaten up or compromised in any way. However, after riding many other rides, possibly losing some hydration, cooking in the tropical heat and allowing the ride itself to loosen up, I rode one more time in row 3. WHOOPS. I noticed the gray out was more severe even before the turn began in earnest, and then I lost consciousness. I believe I was out well past the first airtime hill, and when I began to awaken, it felt like no time had passed - it was as though a slice of my existence was surgically removed. A complete jump cut. I was totally disoriented and confused, I had no idea where I was or what I was doing. Why am I 100 feet above ground? Is my neck snapping? Is this a rollercoaster or an avalanche? It took me several seconds to regain my bearings, and at the brake run I was still woozy. Needless to say, I got off the ride, got myself to air conditioning ASAP and drank a bunch of fluid. Moral of the story - this ride is dope but ALWAYS be hydrated and not overheated, and maybe ride in the morning. Anyway - keep on riding!
Not gonna lie Anaconda the time I rode felt surprisingly smooth. I went in knowing the notion of the style of roughness but it just surprised me that it wasn't ridiculous. The corkskrews over the water were absolutely stellar in my eyes.
I definitely understand and respect why most people prefer Twisted to I305, but me personally, I305 is the one. Obviously, Twisted is amazing, and it's my favorite RMC... But I find the absolutely absurd insanity of I305 to be more up my alley.
I live really close to this park and have grown up with it my whole life and I have to say that Grizzly is my 3rd favorite roller coaster at the park! It's definitely not for everyone but most people who live near the park will most likely tell you to ride it at least once. I sprint to that ride every time I go. I know there are rumors that go around every year about the park discussing taking it down because it is old and rickety but so many people would be just as up in arms as they were over the volcano. I also have to say my number one favorite ride at the park isn't a rollercoaster it's definitely the Berserker(the pirate ship ride). It provides an experience you don't get a lot where it goes upside down unlike most pirate ship rides.
My minority opinion is that I like Anaconda. I don’t get head-banging on it, and it brings back fond memories from my youth when Arrow Loopers were new.
I've never understood the hate for anaconda. Sure its transitions suck, but I always have fun on it no matter what. it is in my top 5 in the park. This might be because of my preference for positive G's and my high tolerance for roughness but I've always liked it.
when i went to K D be around mid june for vacation i was looking forward to grizzly b/c i heard they did work on it.. nope. 1st drop was okay, but 2nd drop onward my insides got shuffled from side to side, and never wish to ever do it again.
#1 and 2 depends on what you like. I305 is going to be your favorite if you're into speed and intensity and nothing else; TT if you like a smooth ride and insane airtime.
Totally agree about Grizzly. When I was a little kid I was terrified of roller coasters. My dad told me we should ride this ride and waiting in line I couldn't see if it was even a roller coaster due to all the trees. By the time I realized what it was we were at the loading station. I got on it scared as can be. To this day hate that coaster but one good thing is it helped me give better coasters a chance.
All coasters ranked: 13: Great Pumpkin Coaster (Just...no) 12: Woodstock Express (Decent family coaster) 11: Apple Zapple (One of the best wild mice) 10: Reptilian (Amazing bobsled coaster) 9: Backlot Stunt Coaster (Great family coaster) 8: Anaconda (Not as bad as many people say) 7: Racer 75 (Clone of Racer, but smoother) 6: Grizzly (Wild wooden ride) 5: Flight of Fear (Underrated indoor coaster) 4: Tumbili (I decided this was slightly ahead of Flight of Fear) 3: Dominator (One of the best floorless coasters) 2: Twisted Timbers (Top 20 coaster for me) 1: Snoopy's Rocket Express (God tier) Actual 1: Intimidator 305 (Second best giga)
If RMC could make a train that didn't suck TT might be as good as I305, I305 is quickly becoming my most ridden roller coaster. I also LOVE the back row, never really noticed a rattle and I lap it in the back pretty regularly. Really nice airtime from the first two hills and all that extra whip
We all have our opinions but I’d take TT over intimidator-305 all day long. TT is so much smoother but then again depends what type of coaster you like. But at the end of the day they both are BadA$$$3 rides lol 😂
I don't know what it is about Grizzly, but I just can't get a bad ride on that thing. No matter how rough it is, it never causes me pain or discomfort. The layout is also legitimately great imo. It's an easy number 3 in the park for me. Also I ride I305 pretty often and I've never found to have more than a slight rattle in any row, so backrow is often where I ride, because the front always has a crazy line. TT is amazing as well, but it just can't match the intensity and speed of I305 for me.
For me: 1. Twisted Timbers (Elite) 2. I-305 (Elite) 3. Grizzly (Good) 4. Dominator (Good) 5. Racer (Good) 6. Tumbili (Middle of The Road) 7. Backlot Stunt Coaster (Middle of the Road) 8. Flight of Fear (Middle of the Road) 9. Reptilian (Middle of the Road) 10. Woodstock Express (Middle of the Road) 11. Apple Zapple (Middle of Road) 12. Great Pumpkin Coaster (Kiddie) 13. Anaconda (Dumpster Fire) I think Grizzly is good. I don't mind the roughness on this particular coaster. I haven't had the opportunity for a night ride but it would be one of the better ones. I slightly prefer Twisted Timbers to I-305. I will always take air time, so Twisted Timbers is in my Top 10 overall, and I-305 is in my low teens.
I just went to KD a couple weeks back. Here’s my ranking… 1. Intimidator 305 (hands down the most insane ride I ever rode) 2. Flight of Fear (this ride is low-key slept on) 3. Dominator 4. Twisted Timbers 5. Grizzly 6. Racer 75 7. Backlot Stunt Coaster 8. Anaconda (not a bad ride, but not nearly as good as the others) 9. Reptilian (not a bad ride, but not as good as the others)
Call me crazy but I have Tumbeli > Dominator. The flips on that thing is so insane and I absolutely love it as well as the immersive theming around it. I love my home parks.
So glad you enjoyed Tumbili. I think it is a great small-scale addition. There is one seat were you average 4-9 flips every ride. I also really like Racer 75. I think Racer 75 or Rebel Yell is the best wooden coaster in Virginia. There is only a couple jerky moments if you sit on a wheel seat.
My ranking, I didn’t get on everything and stupidly decided to ride clones of rides at my home park 😓 1. Intimidator 305 (my top 1 roller coaster 🐐 I rode everything else once and rode this 8 times 😂) 2. Dominator (underrated banger and top 5 B&Ms) 3. Twisted Timbers (disappointed me sadly but still pretty good) 4. Tumbili (my first 4D and the first coaster in a long time to scare me) 5. Backlot Stunt Coaster (slightly better than Kings Island’s 6. Reptilian (my first bobsled and a lot of fun) 7. Flight of Fear (way worse than Kings Island’s 😵)
Just went to kings dominion yesterday. Rode I305 in the back and was so surprised how rattled it was. Didn’t remember it ever being like that. Starting to show its age a bit, could use a paint job as well😂
7:58 "pointless helix thing"? I've never thought of the end as a helix in almost 2000 rides on Dominator. It is 2 curves, the first of which is a bit shaky and just connects the dots, but the low flat power curve ends the coaster with a bang far better than most. I've heard more good comments on Anaconda the last year or so than in the previous 10. That's probably an omen...
Deff if your looking for airtime and really smooth ride TT is deff the coaster to go too all day long. If your looking for speed and crazy intensity and G-Forced I-305 is the way to go. Can’t wait to go booked tickets in September to go the whole weekend of the 22nd when the Halloween-Fest starts. Haven’t been during Halloween 👻 time in a long time so pumped.
My favorite ride there is Dominator, sorry but its just such an amazing coaster! When I go I like to go on Dominator once or twice when I first arrive, and then take the detour route through Snoopy Land when I leave so I can pass it + ride it one last time before I leave. I even got one of those little Dominator pins you can get at the exit of the ride! I can't wait to go back for my birthday, I love KD sm 💛
Since my last visit in 2013, my favorite roller coaster there is Intimidator 305 followed by Volcano: The Blast Coaster, Dominator, Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Grizzly, Racer 75, Reptilian, Apple Zapple, Shockwave, Anaconda and Hurler.
I don’t think the grizzly is as bad as your making it sound like lol. I mean come in it’s a wooden coaster and I think it’s a fun ride but being a little over dramatic with it all lol. Same with Anaconda being a little dramatic. I think Anaconda is a lot rougher than the Grizzly is by far. Anaconda will make you feel numb by the time you get off the ride. But it’s still a fun ride to ride
Agreed. Grizzly holds a special place in my heart because it was the first roller coaster I ever rode, I was around 7 or 8 at the time. I just rode it again recently and I loved it
I see the appeal for I305, it is exactly as advertised, but that's why it was a one and done for me. Just like the poster I'm on the taller side, Flight of Fear is a hard fit for me, but I do fit. While not the most comfortable restraints they're better for my build than Anaconda or I305, both of which are heck on my shoulders, head, and neck. I just don't enjoy that level of roughness for something that's supposed to be a leisure activity.
I really don’t understand/see how Anaconda and Grizzly are that bad. Grizzly I didn’t find that rough, same with Anaconda. Although I don’t agree Grizzly is that bad, I do agree that Backlot Stunt Coaster is better.
My KD Ratings: [I won't be adding grizzly since I haven't rode it] 1 • Dominator [I love this ride sm] 2 • Twisted Timbers [Nice Airtime Hills] 3 • Flight of Fear 4 • Anaconda [Similar to Loch Ness at BGW] 5 • I305 [Was absolutely horrifying, but so good] 6 • Racer 75 [I actually got to ride when both trains were running!] 7 • Woodstock Express 8 • Reptilian 9 • Apple Zapple 10 • Tumbili [I absolutely hate this ride, my head got slammed back into the seat 🤕]
I just went to kings dominion I honestly think the wooden coaster called twister Timbers I think is the best wooden coaster I ridden ever Edit 2: THANK YOU TO THE CREATOR FOR LIKING, I personally think that the best coaster their has to be the intimidator 305 lets be real its one of the funest coasters we’ve been on especially because of the sharp thrilling turns and the big unexpected 305 foot drop I got on it two times but unfortunately didnt get a front view pov. I also havent done the blue wooden coaster and the grizzly! Most people say the blue is better but I heard a lot more of grizzly in public!!! Also the bobsled ride was one of the most unexpected rides there I honestly dont trust the restraints that much neither for anaconda, I thank you for making this video so now I know other peoples opinions!!!
Anaconda and grizzly below woodstock express and apple zapple is a crime. They aren't great coasters (at least at the time of this video grizzly wasn't), but no way you can justify putting a kiddy coaster and wild mouse above them lmao
Plz Cedar Point I beg you too put work into this park you can’t just have a top tier park fall, we need a inverted coaster, a wing coaster, and a record breaking coaster at least in all in the year from 2022-2030 and multiple investments, this amusement park has the most people being it a home park, don’t let them down, even you think kings dominion has no hope, it does, as being a thrill fan park I want you to make it a fan thrill favorite park once again, I promise it will be worth it, If I had unlimited money, I would put it all in kings dominion and all of the other cedar fair parks, Plz Cedar Fair see this message and make Kings Dominion a Legendary Park once again
My home park is Busch Gardens Tampa. Looking at visiting Busch Gardens Williamsburg in the near future, figured I'd add a stop over at KD. Is one day enough to ride everything? 🎢
Yes, most days the lines aren't too bad. Recommend hitting up Tumbili first, Flight of fear and the backlot before hitting the big ones. I305 almost never has a wait and TT line moves pretty quickly.
We thought grizzly was crazy it felt like the train was gonna come off the track it had a real sense of danger made it really fun.
I don’t mind a coaster that’s a bit rough but it’s layout to me is too boring. I hope they retrack it more and maybe even expand its layout an out and back extension that goes behind the theater and interacts with the rapids would be great. It needs more wooded environment
I agree with its layout being boring I also feel the same way about the racing one
with the retracking gizzly is pretty epic
Same girl
Anaconda is my favorite, lol. I don’t know why so many people hate on it, but I’ve never experienced the neck shaking and I’ve gone on it every time I go. It’s definitely up there for me
I just went last week and I actually greatly preferred I305 in the back row. I didn’t find it to be rough at all, but it is much more intense. Plus, you get very strong airtime on that first drop
I must've picked the rattly row then lol
I305 in the back is great wtf
Riding The Grizzly the front seat with your feet braced is a fantastic ride!!
Hi! Love your channel. Really glad your kids can begin to ride some of these coasters with you. When my son was young and began to be able to ride, it became one of our favorite father-son things to do. So wonderful!

That’s awesome that you got to experience this park! For me I think the park could be my number one bucketlist park just for the 1-2 punch alone
Not gonna lie Anaconda the time I rode felt surprisingly smooth. I went in knowing the notion of the style of roughness but it just surprised me that it wasn't ridiculous. The corkskrews over the water were absolutely stellar in my eyes.
The grizzly got new trains and a whole new track for the 2023 seasons it is so smooth now
I should ride it because last time before the track replacement it was rough AF
Dominator was my favorite ! I passed out on intimidator once the drop and twisted Timbers annoyed me so bad
Why did Twisted Timbers annoy you?
I definitely understand and respect why most people prefer Twisted to I305, but me personally, I305 is the one. Obviously, Twisted is amazing, and it's my favorite RMC... But I find the absolutely absurd insanity of I305 to be more up my alley.
No brainer!

Well I'm glad someone likes it 🙃
Taer it down! ;-)
I know right! I low-key kinda favor that ride since it reminds me of my favorite BGW ride Loch Ness.
when i went to K D be around mid june for vacation i was looking forward to grizzly b/c i heard they did work on it.. nope. 1st drop was okay, but 2nd drop onward my insides got shuffled from side to side, and never wish to ever do it again.
Sounds like my experience
#1 and 2 depends on what you like. I305 is going to be your favorite if you're into speed and intensity and nothing else; TT if you like a smooth ride and insane airtime.
I305 has some really good airtime moments.
You had me at RMC 🫶🎢

1: Snoopy's Rocket Express (God tier)
Actual 1: Intimidator 305 (Second best giga)
The hell you mean snoopys rocket express is #1
Update! They updated the grizzly Replaced almost all tracks now its much more smooth and MUCH MUCH better
I agree with you on TT being a no brainer. I305 is fantastic but TT is better in almost every way. That ride is non stop airtime from start to finish.
If RMC could make a train that didn't suck TT might be as good as I305, I305 is quickly becoming my most ridden roller coaster. I also LOVE the back row, never really noticed a rattle and I lap it in the back pretty regularly. Really nice airtime from the first two hills and all that extra whip

I literally came off crying on the grizzly
I agree on Grizzly, EXCEPT it dang near killed me. Otherwise, as I mentioned elsewhere, I think it has terrific potential.
Went there yesterday! Such a great trip.

I slightly prefer Twisted Timbers to I-305. I will always take air time, so Twisted Timbers is in my Top 10 overall, and I-305 is in my low teens.
Agree I could ride Grizzly all day I don’t mind the roughness it has. But I’d have to agree with your ranking on these 💯
twisted timbers and dominator are my favorite ones🥰 trust me, twisted timbers it's very intense😬

Call me crazy but I have Tumbeli > Dominator. The flips on that thing is so insane and I absolutely love it as well as the immersive theming around it. I love my home parks.
I couldn’t say how many times I said I disagree with everything you said but I do love kings dominion
Grizzly got a makeover. Your crazy to think that’s a dumpster ride. Grizzly is awesome!!!!!
4-9!? I got like 30 flips
@@onlyguy_ It may have felt like 30 flips, but that’s not possible haha

My ranking, I didn’t get on everything and stupidly decided to ride clones of rides at my home park 😓
1. Intimidator 305 (my top 1 roller coaster 🐐 I rode everything else once and rode this 8 times 😂)
2. Dominator (underrated banger and top 5 B&Ms)
3. Twisted Timbers (disappointed me sadly but still pretty good)
4. Tumbili (my first 4D and the first coaster in a long time to scare me)
5. Backlot Stunt Coaster (slightly better than Kings Island’s
6. Reptilian (my first bobsled and a lot of fun)
7. Flight of Fear (way worse than Kings Island’s 😵)
Love this guy
Just went to kings dominion yesterday. Rode I305 in the back and was so surprised how rattled it was. Didn’t remember it ever being like that. Starting to show its age a bit, could use a paint job as well😂

Great video BTW
Nice ranking !
Deff if your looking for airtime and really smooth ride TT is deff the coaster to go too all day long. If your looking for speed and crazy intensity and G-Forced I-305 is the way to go.

I absolutely love all the rides that you put in the dumpster fire but that’s just my opinion
idk I've never had a problem with roughness in the back of I305
Guess its just me then
So your 6'3 body can fit in the twisted timber cars??? I'm 6' and hate those seats.
for me I Put anaconda in the top 5. Arrow loopers for me make me happy and I love rideing them.
they're restoring and in some parts of the ride, retracking Grizzly as of 2023. Hopefully the ride will come out better than it has been before!
I just rode it again recently and I loved it
IMO Dominator is elite class too, giving KD three elite class coasters. Always loved Dominator
Where is Fury325?
you can’t degrade a coaster cause you can’t fit in it😂
Grizzly is now great with the new Gravity Group track!
everyone got different opinions on grizzly and ion know if i should go on it 😭
Give it a shot
@@XscreamThrills ok, been wanting to go on it anyway 🤷🏽♀️
The grizzly is still a super fun ride
Grizzly got its roar restored so its alot smoother
I see the appeal for I305, it is exactly as advertised, but that's why it was a one and done for me. Just like the poster I'm on the taller side, Flight of Fear is a hard fit for me, but I do fit. While not the most comfortable restraints they're better for my build than Anaconda or I305, both of which are heck on my shoulders, head, and neck. I just don't enjoy that level of roughness for something that's supposed to be a leisure activity.
My home park. I agree except i swP dominator and i305. Grizzly is getting fully retracked by gravity group so it will prob be a top 5 for the park!
I really don’t understand/see how Anaconda and Grizzly are that bad. Grizzly I didn’t find that rough, same with Anaconda. Although I don’t agree Grizzly is that bad, I do agree that Backlot Stunt Coaster is better.
My KD Ratings:
[I won't be adding grizzly since I haven't rode it]
1 • Dominator [I love this ride sm]
2 • Twisted Timbers [Nice Airtime Hills]
3 • Flight of Fear
4 • Anaconda [Similar to Loch Ness at BGW]
5 • I305 [Was absolutely horrifying, but so good]
6 • Racer 75 [I actually got to ride when both trains were running!]
7 • Woodstock Express
8 • Reptilian
9 • Apple Zapple
10 • Tumbili [I absolutely hate this ride, my head got slammed back into the seat 🤕]
Don’t worry I got you. On this list I would place grizzly at #11 because it sucks in every way
Nice to know, thanks for the info!@@JesusLivesOfficial
This ranking is yours only. You should make that clear. My own ranking would be totally different.

What you think I polled everyone who's been to KD and got the overall ranking? Lol of course this is my ranking 🤷♂️
I just went to kings dominion I honestly think the wooden coaster called twister Timbers I think is the best wooden coaster I ridden ever
Edit 2: THANK YOU TO THE CREATOR FOR LIKING, I personally think that the best coaster their has to be the intimidator 305 lets be real its one of the funest coasters we’ve been on especially because of the sharp thrilling turns and the big unexpected 305 foot drop I got on it two times but unfortunately didnt get a front view pov.
My Friends Uncle Help Built This!
what about boo blasters
It's not a coaster 🤷♂️
Anaconda suprised me for some reason its extremely fun
I thout it would be intense but its really not
They’ve changed the names too so many of these rides
Anaconda and grizzly below woodstock express and apple zapple is a crime. They aren't great coasters (at least at the time of this video grizzly wasn't), but no way you can justify putting a kiddy coaster and wild mouse above them lmao
Well, I would rather ride those kiddy coasters over Anaconda :)
Just went not to long ago and I love the intimidator I’m 11
Come back for 2024, Grizzly was retracted thru 2023 and is a bit better now
Grizzly after the retrack is top 5 or 6
You said Tambuli wrong
you spelled it wrong... (Tumbili)
The grizzly isn't even fun, it just hurts
HEY YOU MUST LIKE GRIZZLY NOT DISLIKING AND ITS SMOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grizzly is DEFINITELY better than Anaconda!
Grizzly at twelve man come on if you ride in the front it we’ll be a bit rough if you ride in the back it’s Farley smooth
The back is better than the front? I took one ride up front and said nope to 2nd ride lol
The back seat almost disassembled me. Hands down the roughest ride I've ever had on any coaster.
Funny 😎😎😎

Personally, racer 75 is the worst ride in the park. It’s attempting to reach airtime but utterly fails.
roller coosters
The anaconda seems the best
Or
I don’t think anaconda it that bad
I can't be the only one here who HATES Tumbili with a burning passion, right?
Racer 75
My home park is Busch Gardens Tampa. Looking at visiting Busch Gardens Williamsburg in the near future, figured I'd add a stop over at KD. Is one day enough to ride everything? 🎢
Yes, most days the lines aren't too bad. Recommend hitting up Tumbili first, Flight of fear and the backlot before hitting the big ones. I305 almost never has a wait and TT line moves pretty quickly.
I disagree with the dumpster fire. This is why they have drug testing.
First
Grizzly too low.
