I'm all good. The intro clip was from yesterday when I tried to do a KEIS and attempt a 'cool' skid on the sand and ate sh#t. As for time on the bitumen, all seems to be going smoothly, so far, miraculously. Sunday night I'll get some footage out of the Bridge Over The River Kwai :) Will dance for gasoline - www.buymeacoffee.com/goneadrift
Good luck Sam i hope the bike gets you there 🙏🏻 when your channel has grown more you can treat yourself to a better bike 👍👍 how many km's are you doing every day?
Fantastic vlog, Sam. Glad you're OK. The Dragon Temple looks amazing. Some great views from the top! There also appears to be a good selection of waterfront restaurants starting around 7:12. I didn't know the River Kwai is in Thailand. Thanks.
Great stuff Sam, good you have company, but remember this is your adventure so do it on your time schedule, it isn't a rush, an extra town to stop in here and there will only give more content, many of your viewers will never get to these places, little background on the towns, highlights ( or even low lights) are great, it really about the journey
If Paddy Doyle could do it on his little crappy bike then you can represent the Aussies and show them how it’s done. You’ll have no problems making it all the way to Chiangmai 🏍️ 🏍️🏍️ Good luck 🍀
Hi mate, nice vlog yeah I was out today driving my Motor Scooter Honda PCX 160 I’ve got a few years on you I drove for about two hours in the daytime and I am wrecked. I had to go home and rest in the afternoon the roads and the heat take it out of you. Enjoying the footage I was in Kanchanaburi in January enjoy our time there especially because of the Aussie connection with railway. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
Used to ride scooters a considerable distance across Java, Indonesia, back in the 90s and you're right, that direct sun, the shakiness of the uneven roads etc, drills you!
Great video, Sam. Good luck on the rest of your trip. Hope you are able to find a bit of padding to help with your comfort situation. Will be cheering you on. Keep up the great work.😊😊
Cracker vid, keep it up! I’ve done a bike tour south to north of Vietnam with no guide and the hardest thing was the food and the bike seat. Keep riding San
At least you can fall back on 7 eleven grub if all else fails. A few bananas hanging off the handle bars & drink water like no tomorrow 💯 just keep safe buddy. Small steps, wins the race 👍
Awesome footage. 🙂 I learned the arse lesson myself doing long cycle rides. Lesson well learned! Dude, please get some long sleeves, or you're gonna be a lobster soon. Looking forward to the next installment.
Every pioneer has done what others said could not be done. It’s the journey not the destination. Enjoy the ride. Heard Katchanaburi was a good spot, but I’ve never seen.
What was the disaster? Also only 700kms up to CM from BKK, that's same as Melb to Canberra, piece of piss. Take your time, would like to see some of the country.
Hey Bro new sub. I'm interested in watching you go on scooter, want to travel around but never thought of bike.lol was going use a van so can sometimes sleep in back . I think it be slower on scooter but cool to see more places i reckon. Are you planning each day or wing it. I have driven a car from pattaya to Kan buri and onto Issan and back..
Hi Sam. Nice video and good luck on your travels. Try getting a pair of padded bicycle shorts and wear them under your shorts, that’ll give you some padding for your bum!
FFS Sammy I was waiting for some bone breaking video stuff..!! Good you didn't though, but it would have been good for the video footage. Bones sticking out etc. etc. haha!

Be careful mate. You have the tent to set up as shade and get some rest in…
Apparently chefs also suffer from sweaty ass, chefs and long distance bikers.Definitely a disaster for some. Keep on Sam, you are doing it!
