    Thanks for the video. You solved 2 of my biggest problems. My screen has been stuck open because of the USB-c plugged in. Also, my T5 has been in the way. I didn't think about mounting it on the back of the monitor. Perfect.

    Great video mate. Looking at picking up a Broadcast G2 for work (but not for broadcast, mainly doc and interview stuff 😅) and this was super helpful for me to visualize a likely rig - thanks!

    A nice touch using an iPhone to kindly remind people you can often capture the footage you need from lesser gear.

      Thanks Andrew, yes totally, although it took a lot longer with the fussing around getting the footage off the phone haha!

    Excellent video Joshua. We love our Ursa and it's great to see how others are rigging it. The only suggestion I could make would be to include links to the bits and bobs in the description. Reliable cables in particular, I find are hard to source.

      Hi Richard, thanks for the suggestion. Definitely will keep in mind for the next video. The best cables I have come across recently are the Kondor Blue cables.

    Thanks for making this video, I have been building to make the ursa purchase and after working with it on set for a few months I’m torn between this and some of the Sony FX like the 3 or the 6. Again thanks for this video as I was on a run and gun shoot yesterday and I thought about how this camera would look if I couldn’t use my current gimbal.

      There are a lot of great options out there for run and gun work. For me it's all the industry standard connections like SDI, XLR, TimeCode input etc.

    Very neat set up, I’m at the beginning of the journey with an ursa mini myself. Thanks for the inspiration👌🏻 question, are you getting your parallel recording (start/stop) on the atomos via SDI?

    • @JoshuaKirkNZ
      @JoshuaKirkNZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment! Yes the atomos is receiving the signal via SDI - you can use the front SDI (which is only full HD) or the rear which is 4K and the trigger cable (LANC cable) is connected either via the front or rear trigger port.

    Great video! joshua I have a question about the sdd, how is the performance for 120fps at 3:1 or Q0, does it work? do they have frame rate limitation at 4.6fps, thanks!

    • @JoshuaKirkNZ
      @JoshuaKirkNZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately 120fps doesn’t work reliably in Q3 or Q0 for me. The newer T7 drives / Angelbird drives are better. For me it’s really safe with 12:1.

    My v-mount battery doesn’t lock as solidly any longer. Is it just me? If I bang it, it falls off.

    Hi is it heavy for travel content ? To walk with it in a backpack

    • @JoshuaKirkNZ
      @JoshuaKirkNZ  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah this would be too much for travelling with a backpack. If I was travelling I would go for the pocket cameras.

      Doesn't need much rigging with the 3 included screens. But I have some rods and extension arm for the handle. But I can figure out a should pad for shoulder work. I also have the ursa viewfinder on it.

    Hi.. with the T5 SSd on the Ursa Mini.. what is the max frame rate you can record?

    • @JoshuaKirkNZ
      @JoshuaKirkNZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      On the 4.6K G2 I can record 4.6K RAW 12:1 up to 120fps no problem on the T5.

    Are you using a dtap to dtap cable to power the camera?

    • @JoshuaKirkNZ
      @JoshuaKirkNZ  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No just the Vlock on the back of the camera. The dtap is for the monitor.
