    Beautiful work as always! I've made a paddle for a full size 1911 but never a smaller gun. Great tips and ideas! Thank you!

      I don't know, but I don't think so. I haven't made a pattern for a .380 EZ, but the EMP I made this holster for is basically a scaled down 1911. The EZ looks like it has a rail and a wider trigger guard which would probably make this pattern too small for it to fit in.

    Pretty nice holster. Good looking! I always meant to make a natural colored holster but never thought they would look good.
    Great video as usual Mr. Sir.

    Nice! I need to make one of those for my Commander. Lots of good tips in this video…thanks!

      Thanks. I think the commander 1911 has a bit longer frame than the EMP, but otherwise would be almost identical.

    I like that little "trick" you use for the daubers by taping a little piece of pipe or tubing to the jar so you store the right dauber with the right product.👍

      It definitely helps keep them organized. Thanks for watching!

    That would make a great holster for my SR22 when I'm just around home and not wearing a belt!!!!✌

      They do work without a belt. More comfortable than a metal clip, and you don't need to wear oversized pants like with a IWB holster.

      @@bransonsgeneralstore Thanks, I don't care for iwb and a clip is uncomfortable without an under shirt during summer months. I think I can modify my avenger holster pattern and make a pattern for the paddle part. ✌️

    Huge fan of this channel and I have a dye question! If I buy a tan leather holster, is there a way to strip the dye and the protective clearcoat with acetone and redye the holster black? I refinish shoes and that’s the way I would do it with shoes, but I’m not sure how the clearcoat works with holsters. I would obviously condition the leather before I clearcoat it again after I would change it to black

      Most holsters can be redyed the same way as shoes. I have used Deglazer from Fiebings which is mostly acetone but contains a couple of other ingredients. I have found it works best to put the dye on before the Deglazer has had a chance to dry. And make sure you buff the leather really well to remove any excess dye that didn't penetrate so it doesn't leach off later on your clothes while you are wearing the holster.

      @@bransonsgeneralstore that’s great thank you so much! I know that with acetone, it fully has to evaporate before you dye something otherwise the new dye won’t hold. Is that the same with deglazer?

    • @bransonsgeneralstore
      @bransonsgeneralstore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TrebleForTheBass I have found that if I let it dry there are more spots where the dissolved finish dries again and can cause trouble. Especially if it was a finish that contained waxes.

      @@TrebleForTheBass I have not had any problem with acetone blocking dyes myself.

      @@bransonsgeneralstore that’s great to know thanks so much for the advice! I just ordered some Pro dye, resolene, and deglazer from Tandy! I am a do it yourself or as far as shoes go and have been doing it only for a few years now, so I trust you more than I trust my past experience! Maybe I just left it too wet the last time I did brown
