Love the commentary. I felt the same way. I was like why design something that would even make an experienced tech have problems. R & D just figured it works fine and it will be somebody else's problem to fix it if it breaks lol. Good job
I'm an old mechanic so here's an old mechenic's trick to hold almost any piece in place while you try and secure the rest of the parts...in this case bolts. Apply a LIBERAL coat of grease on the part you want to stay in place and ...BINGO...like magic, it does, leaving your hands free to do the rest of the job. Cheers from Canada North
I really wish you would have shown us how to remove both valves and replace And the spicket end . Replace because my spickitt end is missing three of the Hook up knobs For the stinky slinky And needs to be replaced.
I got the bolts off on mine, but it just won't let go. I can wiggle it, it will rotate but just won't come out. Tried spreading the PVC pipe away but I don't want to risk damage. Any suggestions ?

Thanks for the tip
Great learning video, thank you for your insight on how to do it!
Thanks for watching! Good luck
Thanks so much for this video. I know it was an ugly job, but it helped me know what is needed should this ever happen to me.
Happy to help! Thanks for watching 👀
Uggg that sucks, I’m glad you fixed it though!
Yeah It was pretty sucky alright. LOL
Wish you showed “the other valve” removal.
It's the same just smaller
Did you use any silicone grease or just straight seals? Trying to figure that part out on my current project.
I just used seals. It seems to have worked fine
Lubricate the seals with petroleum jelly. Also to keeps in place.
Keep seals in place by petroleum jelly
Petroleum jelly will damage rubber.

Can you take apart an additional joint like I did?
Spread it more, another 3/8 to 1/2” should do it
