Using your video I just replaced the valve on my motorhome yesterday. Mostly it was easy but you always have that one bolt who laughingly mocks you as you try to get it out. I finally got the nit off the last bolt but it still didn't want to come out but I got it. I had flushed my tank a couple days before and even used a wand down the toilet just knowing the tank was clear of debris. It wasn't. I had to grab a bucket to capture all the nastiness. Afterwards I went and bought a special end with a backflush attachment. Thank you for making this job easier with your video
I hope he noticed that the 2 left valve retainers have huge cracks in them. I would use super glue of something, carefully applied so the inner opening will not be plugged with glue. If you don't do this, you will have a problem in the future.
That's all fine and dandy, but I want to see how you do it when handle breaks when its full
I'd probably have a porta potty company suck out the tank from the toilet lol.

@@danielratner got a submersible pump and big plastic tub , loosened bolts , let it drip a few hours came back loosen some more ,pried flanges apart 1/2" to let the juicy stuff drain overnight. Tapped and wiggled pipe to drain as much fluid as possible over next day . Luckily the chuncky stuff settled and held in place long enough to slide out old valve and replace.
I highly recommend PATIENCE with safety glasses,face mask, rubber gloves and a suit made from trash bags just in case the chuncky stuff don't hold and starts to FLOW.
@@mamjack6134 Moist chunky are words I never want to associate with my RV!!! Glad you were able to get it though, that sounds horrible
do not use PJ on the runner seals. Only use rubber grease that is water proof and will not desintagrate the rubber. It is called Plumbers Grease.

How doesnt your drain pipe before the valve freeze broken when its winter?
I hate plumbing with a passion. Ive developed a whole new vocabulary of cuss words just for plumbing. Im at the end of a 2 day wrestling match with this black water tank valve from hell. Good video though wish I would have watched it sooner
