Good info! Concealed carry involves many personal choices. I do carry a 5" 1911 three seasons and a 4" 1911 in the summer, but I also match my wardrobe to my gun, and have made that one of my choices for years. CCW is a lifestyle, not a hobby, not a whim.
Kim, my wife and I both shoot often, but she doesn’t conceal carry. My question is, if you had to pick one gun that you could carry year around, which one would you pick for a lady and why? Thank you and I love y’all’s videos, so keep it up. God bless.
Gotta say the previous review of the alien gear holsters made me get the package deal with the IWB and OWB for my 1911. Best buy ever! Got my summer carry XD-E 45, got the same package so worth the money very very comfortable. Chucked my other holsters. Thanks guys!
Ah, the CCW game. Personally, I carry what I shoot best. That ends up being the 1911. Always inside the waistband, as I never know when the coat will come off. Duluth Trading Company has those long tail T-shirts that work wonderfully for concealing a handgun. I carry any time I am leaving the house, except for at work, and usually, not even my wife knows for sure I am carrying or not. But I did go through the whole holster deal, and still may not be done with that, as I am interested in the Alien Gear system. And deciding on whether to carry a backup or not, and where to strap that on. It is all a process, and there doesn't seem to be one sure fire solution that fits everyone. So keep up the good work, and I definitely like the idea of the armorers videos.
Yup...we appreciate Kim! She's amazing. 😁 Live in a "not so free state" 10 round mag limit. Found the Shield 9mm to be a good choice...G27/26 too. Planning to move south soon. "Pelican..fly, be free!" (Al Pacino) You two rock, keep up the great content. Neil, glad your shoulder is doing better. Kim, well...you're just terrific!
Neil - File this one under, how to properly take a "for home defense only" handgun to the range recommendations. Can you make a video on the subject for new handgun owners?
I absolutely love you two together you guys are so fun to watch and I really learn a lot from you all videos keep up the great work and thank you again for bringing up my day while I'm learning...From Yosh...
I have a Sig P250 compact, which is modular with 15+1. I find that I can use the Sig P250 SUBCOMPACT grip module together with the P250 Compact slide, barrel, etc.. The Subcompact grip module magazine is 12 rounds so with Compact "upper" with it's 12+1 setup makes a dramatic difference in the size of grip handle such that printing is less of a concern. Trade off, right? I have less printing with this hybrid modular set up but at the cost of 3 fewer rounds loaded (I carry an extra mag so really 25 rounds vs. 31 available). I also gain a few more foot-pounds of of projectile energy by keeping the P250 Compact barrel as compared with the shorter subcompact slide/barrel spring conversion kit ("upper"), but the compact "upper" is of course heavier than the subcompact "upper". I find the "hybrid" combination of the module subcompact grip module combined with the compact "upper" fits well with my holsters (Alien Gear IWB Cloak Tuck 3.0, We The People IWB Kydex Concealed Carry Holster for the Sig P320C, which fits the P250 just dandy) with good retention.
Good advise. I wish I had known before I purchased my S&W SD9VE. I do carry it and I am sometimes self conscience wondering if others see my printing. However, sometimes when we get home my wife will say, "Oh, I didn't know you were carrying today!" I cannot always carry because she works at a school and we go to many events at the school and other schools. I carry IWB and with one of your previous videos, carry at the 4 o'clock position. My trainer did specify a Kydex trigger guard holster. He has a business similar to yours here in PA. Thanks for all of your videos, they have very beneficial to me as a newbie to firearms, firearm safety and conceal carry at 67 years old. p.s... I could not find the "PATRON" button on the website, Facebook or Instagram pages.
Steven Hacker I have the SD9VE as well and I carry in a n82 tactical IWB holster. You’ll be surprised how they look if you’ve never seen them and they work very well and are comfortable
Eric davis we will have the next Defensive Class up soon on our website, just giving Neil's rotator cuff a little more time to heal. Email us at training@geaugafirearmsacademy.com and I'll add you to our class announcement list. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍😊
I'm training with a couple of guys and eager for my first IDPA match. Saw the question and wonder, can you recommend a training co. Here in FL? Your videos are the best, how long have you been making these videos? Love my Shield45 and M&P Full size 9mm.
A 1911 has proved challenging to conceal. Do you have recommendations for a holster? Right now I carry appendix because I haven't found a holster I like
Kim I would love to hear yours and Neil's thoughts on the Xde. I'm a safety freak so I like the DA/SA. Please be honest and I'll refrain from the U of M and the OSU jokes. Thanks Neil senior..
What are your thoughts about putting your weak hand forefinger over the front of the trigger guard on a glock 26 when forming a nice shooting grip? Thanks
I'm not for grabbing the front trigger guard because is causes your wrist to break upward more and I'll solid structural alignment over grabbing the trigger guard. However at the end of the the "to each their own"
Yeah we didn't have the shotgun mic on this one just a lavaliere on Kim but who cares what I have to say anyway lol. Not to worry the video it will be fixed. Thanks for watching!
You BOTH are awesome! Sure we watch to see Kim's guns. Lol. But the content from both of you is always excellent. Just picked up an CAM and love it. One of the best pistols I've used. Bulls eyed it the very 1st shot. Would love to see more on comparisons and dismantling. Thanks for the laughs too! Love your personalities. If I lived closer I'd be in your training all the time. Lol.
No compromises here. All the firearms I shoot great or excellent with I will either carry IWB or OWB with exception to large framed revolvers. But even with those I have a awesome OWB kydex holster that allows me to carry my 686 7 shot often, concealed and very comfortably. It really is all about the HOLSTER with a good strong quality BELT more than the gun in most cases....
Dude, you'd look awesome I'm a cute vest. :-D Seriously, thank you for the videos. They have been quite informative. I personally find the information you give to be very useful because I also live in Oh. I'm gonna try to look you guys up and get setup in one of your classes. Thanks again. You guys are the best.
Great informative video as always from you guys. OK, Kim definitely adds some excitement to the mix but she knows what she’s talking about (like you too) and even if she wasn’t so gorgeous, I would still watch! 😄
XD is junk ! Single stacks are most popular but I am very nervous without a double stack . An exact three finger grip is what suites me . Anything less than a 15 round mag and I get nervous . 13 rounds , 12 rounds mmm ... 7 and 8 rounds - No ! My surroundings are not mild .
Thanks for the great information you all always post, I enjoy it . I imagine it takes a lot of time to do one of these things.Your planning and execution is spot on, and I THANK YOU. OH YES YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WIFE. Red/Blue how lucky are you!!!😎
Neil, do you think if you wore a cute vest, more people would watch the videos that you do? Seriously though, great informative video. I really enjoy your channel.

You guys are great together . Nice review.
What is the best way to carry when wearing a maxi dress?
Had to get my dose of Kim 😁 I enjoy you as well Neil 👍
Dang...I carry a 380 Ruger LCP at 4 o’clock now I want a bigger weapon. I am only 5’ 0😊 it fits me pretty good.
Kim, my wife and I both shoot often, but she doesn’t conceal carry. My question is, if you had to pick one gun that you could carry year around, which one would you pick for a lady and why? Thank you and I love y’all’s videos, so keep it up. God bless.

Panzer Jeep glad we can help.
Great review you two!
Calvin Monroe thank you!👍

Disturbed Maynard thanks for watching and the feedback about the armorer's corner.
Yes do the armours corner. I like both of your perspectives . You guys make learning about the shooting workd enjoyable keep up the great work !
greg heilmann great to hear! And the response has been overwhelming the armorer's corner is a go!
Yup...we appreciate Kim! She's amazing. 😁

Great video guys !!
Twitch thank you!
Neil - File this one under, how to properly take a "for home defense only" handgun to the range recommendations. Can you make a video on the subject for new handgun owners?
Good to see you outside of your harness sir. Hope you keep feeling well and keep improving
Victor Rojas thanks Victor
I absolutely love you two together you guys are so fun to watch and I really learn a lot from you all videos keep up the great work and thank you again for bringing up my day while I'm learning...From Yosh...
Yoshua Hampton thank you so much! Thanks for having fun with us. 👍
Thanks for the lesson. Never realized how important it was to "pull it out" 😊😊
Glad I could help.
Good video. Very entertaining and informative. That armorer corner idea sounds good.
ScrotumSaggins thank you for watching and the feedback
Thank you for you advice. I will steer clear of SOB holsters. Also thank you for the reply!!!
Kim, what was the belt you mentioned?
The Kore
Love the armorers corner idea!
Really like the idea of the Armor videos
Greg Newell thanks for the feedback
I love the Beretta 92fs Inox, i carry it iwb in shorts an tshirt in FL. Sometimes challenging but almost always possible!
Laser Beam great hear you carry and glad you found a system that works!

Hahahahaha. I watch it for both of you! Kim keep smiling, you have a great smile! Thanks for all the info!

Do you have any opinion on the Veridian Tacloc holster and auto on light series?
Awesome job on the Video
olhemi1 thank you
The Sig P365 is looking promising for that not too big, not too small group. Looking forward to getting my hands on one.
Glimtech Arms could be a great gun, thanks for watching.
“Armorer’s Corner” sounds great!
touring3d great thanks for the feedback!
Hawaiian Shirts for summer, spring and fall.
I know it requires an outer layer of clothing to conceal, but can you tell me about small of the back holster. I'm very Interested. Thank you
Jack I would not recommend a small off the back because the injury you could encounter if you fall on it, you could be paralyzed.
Thanks for the video! Glad to see your wing on the mend.
Michael Roberts thank you!
I have the chubby dad bod so I can and do conceal my xdm 4.5 10mm every day... I live in bear country so the 10mm makes sense for me...
Kim who’s that guy that always cuts in on the videos?
Good to see your wing isn't in a sling anymore. What holster are you running for IWB for the compact 2.0 with the light?
Ghoulovich thank you! I use KT Mech. 👍
How can i sign up for your classes. I live in champaign Illinois and want to take a tactical class and like your ideas. Thank you Eric Davis.
Eric davis we will have the next Defensive Class up soon on our website, just giving Neil's rotator cuff a little more time to heal. Email us at training@geaugafirearmsacademy.com and I'll add you to our class announcement list. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍😊

Freida Lambert I don't carry appendix but regardless KT-Mech, Bravo Concealment and Alien Gear have all been winners for me.
The custom carry concepts shaggy is the best option for 1911 AIWB in my opinion. That is if you have the money and the wait time.
Hey. Neil great content as usual... It's great to see you're out of the sling, & pretty cool to see you & Kim on camera together.
Luis Francis thank you! 😊👍
Kim I would love to hear yours and Neil's thoughts on the Xde. I'm a safety freak so I like the DA/SA. Please be honest and I'll refrain from the U of M and the OSU jokes. Thanks Neil senior..

Geauga Firearms Academy thanks for the reply. Glad to see your arm's out of the sling!

Your right Kim is the draw. But you do have go info... Enjoy your video's Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
zyepod thanks I appreciate your support

The First Rule of Kim-Club is that you don't reveal the secret (@2:04) of Kim-Club, Neil.
That would be good bud

My gun goes where I go ,
If my gun can't go - I don't go !
Carry 24/7 365 ! ! !
Even in the shower ! ! !
NEVER BE CAUGHT UNARMED ! ! !
The trigger on the S&W Bodyguard is just aweful. I've had women in my class who were physically incapable of pulling the trigger on that thing.
RockawayCCW yeah not a fan of the bodyguard, thanks for watching.
Dude, get a mic; the volume difference is killing me!
Having lighter colored clothing would allow viewers to see better what you're showing
Neil has a moo moo?
thescbaron Lol! He is coming out with a fashion brand soon 🤣
The reason you guys are watching anyway.? You're sick. Reporting for sexual content.
